Amazing atmosphere, with its “vintage-modern” decor, and restored historic structure. Great food, especially the pasta selection. Service was friendly and attentive, and the street side city views added to a cozy, yet dynamic, experience in all.
I love Lazia! Always great service and food is perfection.
Absolutely incredible. Can’t wait to go back and take friends.
Exceptional food with a high end price. Ambiance is terrific even though the restaurant is very loud. Wait staff was below average, considering the price point of this restaurant.
Fix the wait staff and Lazia is a top 10 restaurant in Kansas City.
Friendly staff. Lindsey took excellent care of us. All staff was kind and welcoming
Food is very good. Three of us shared the chicken and it was a good choice. Our server was not very well informed. Not sure if she was new or could not hear. The noise level was high
We (my wife & I) are eager eaters, but the entrees were super-sized. We could have easily split one. The charcuterie was excellent.
First time at Lazia. Nice room. Great service. My food was delicious. My husband did not care for his entree.
Our party of 6 enjoyed a wonderful dinner on Saturday evening. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. Food was delicious. I would say the pasta dishes are small for the price but everything was delicious.
Food was incredible!! The server made everything sounds delicious, and she was right!! Great addition to the crossroads area.
Very enjoyable experience at Lazia, this was our first time and we will definitely be back. The pasta was delicious, the service was great.
My husband and I loved the decor and atmosphere of Lazia. Then after dinner we were encouraged to go to the rooftop Beer Garden, even though we don’t drink. It was a beautiful evening. We enjoyed the setting and openness of the rooftop area. I definitely recommend Lazia and will be returning.
The noise level is awful they put the 7 of us in what was an old vault that is covered in white tile and reverberates so horribly we
Couldn’t hear each other! They need to put fabric over the tile to make the noise level reduced.
It’s a good looking space but our service was spotty and food fair. Noise ruined the experience as well
As the clautrophobic tiled vault we were put in!!!
The food in my opinion was mediocre. The gnocchi was lacking but in flavor. The best thing about the restaurant was the overall ambiance.
We had a great time. Excellent food and service with a nice atmosphere.
Waitress was horrible. We asked about a food item for an appetizer because we were considering ordering it and she responded “yeah it’s good” and then walked away before we could order. Later on when we got our food she didn’t come to check on how everything was. We had to track her down to ask for crushed red pepper and parmesan, by the time she got back with it we were almost completely done with our food. The food was delicious but very disappointed by the service
Small venue that has a good atmosphere. I would recommend requesting a table on the perimeter as the tables in the center are extremely close together. Server was very knowledgeable but service for drinks was slow.
Excellent service. Enjoyable dining experience.
Admittedly we were the last reservation, but they made sure we knew that. We felt a bit rushed and we could tell they wanted to go home. I own a wonderful restaurant in St. Louis and frankly if you're the last reservation you should still feel like you're the first. The pasta was over worked and way too thick, but the many other dishes we ordered were very good. It was quite loud however, with drunken bros shouting each other as if they were deaf. It dampened the experience. A lovely interior rivalling some of the best restaurants, but the desire to have candles heaping an appalling amount of wax may seem like angood idea, but it seemed gimmicky, dirty and unkempt. I like distressed and shabby chic in the correct context, but it was frankly off putting. That said definitely worth a try and my personal preferences my not be yours. In any event unique and worth while.
The service was phenomenal! Legit will go back for that alone beside the awesome food
This was our third visit to Lazia. We got a great table by the window, however, our spaghetti carbonara had way too much sauce on it and our waiter, while pleasant, was slow and inattentive.
Terrible service. Arrogant waiter. Ruined my birthday dinner.
It was nice and the atmosphere was great for being able to have conversation and take our time. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. The menu had something for everyone. I would return again do a special occasion.
The service and food were amazing. The restaurant is gorgeous and our server knew the menu very well and gave us great recommedations!
Overall the food was good, but I wouldn’t recommend if you are lactose intolerant. There were not a lot of options, but the filet was great. We got a side of Brussels sprouts which were good, but I’ve had better.
first two courses were good. pasta course was WAAAYYYY too al dente. nearly crunchy
The ambiance is amazing.
The cocktails were very good and reasonably priced.
Our entrees were just okay. Neither dish really wowed us.
The restaurant didn’t seem busy but our waitress didn’t seem to check on us very often.
Amazing food, drinks and atmosphere! We will definitely be back
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our first visit here!!
Ambiance was great. Service was great. Food was average and overpriced
We had heard about the restaurant and decided to try one evening on a whim. It was a wonderful experience. Lovely room. Exceptional service and great food. Every effort was made by Lazia to make our evening just perfect. Nothing was rushed. Highly recommend.
We had a great server, outstanding food and an all around wonderful experience.
Check out Lazia for a vibrant Italian menu, urban and classic bar scene and friendly service! A group of us really enjoyed the evening, thank you!
It wasn’t band until my wife spotted a little green worm crawling on my “farm fresh” greens! The staff told me more than once “well at least you know it’s fresh”. I also know you’re not properly cleaning your produce. In the end they comped just the bug meal not the bill.
We had an amazing dinner. It was too loud overall for our taste but the service and food definitely made up for that.
Lazia was amazing. I celebrated a once in a life time anniversary here that my husband and I will never forget! Our server, Lindsey, was right on board with me-making sure our evening went perfectly and flowed smoothly. They played into my cheesy ways to surprise my husband and I felt their genuine excitement for us. Their food recommendations were on point and my husband and i could not get over how amazing the food was. We eat great food often and we were blown away. Thank you so much to everyone who helped make our night successful!! We highly recommended them to everyone.
We enjoyed celebrating our anniversary with friends at Lazia - my second time in a month to be there. Parking can be a hassle but we really enjoyed the experience and will be back.
Beautiful room but my pasta was inedible — great pasta noodles, terrific homemade ricotta cheese, but tomato sauce was terribly over spiced. All 6 at our table agreed it was way too hot.
Noise level needs attention. If that is addressed we will come back for a second try.
The cool prohibition style ambiance is excellent. Service was very good but when it’s busy the smaller tables get a bit neglected. Food- a bit disappointing. Filet had a simple salt pepper rub. Grouper was extremely bland and unusually paired with apples. Hamachi crudo lacked tenderness. Pork rind chips pairing for the crudo didn’t seem to compliment. Atmosphere is spot on. Outside bar scene is happening. Next time we may try happy hour with snacks at the bar.
For our anniversary we went to the bar upstairs for a drink and beautiful view of KC with the young hip crowd then went to Lazia for a wonderful dinner. We were greeted with a bubbly celebratory beverage. We enjoyed the burrata and warm bread and the filet was prepared just perfect with yummy flavor Loved the ambiance with the drippy candles too.
