We had the 3-course menu which consited of salmon on quinoa appetizer, pork chop main and panna cotta dessert for $35. Food was delicious and service attentive. Good place- different clubby atmosphere.
An awesome experience! The food is outstanding and reasonably priced. So cool to be dining in the library hall in this amazing old building. It’s not quiet because it’s such a big hall. But the place settings and the service are top notch and the food amazing. A great experience all around.
A unique experience! Did not know there was a resturant at Osgood Hall, l researched Osgood Hall for another reason, discovered this 'hidden gem'. Will return :-)
One of the best restaurants in Toronto. The food, service and ambiance are excellent. Would definitely recommend giving it a try. You won’t be disappointed.
Stake and octopus were very delicious. Interior decoration is beautiful.
A beautiful place to have lunch with very good food and friendly service.
Fresh quality foods at reasonable cost. Love the stained glass ambiance and seeing lawyers and judge at the same eatery. Good service, never felt rushed
Service was excellent and quick. Lovely ambiance.
Great! The food was delicious, atmosphere was lovely. Where we were seated the tables were a little close and we could overhear the person at the next table swearing which we could have done with out.
A great place for a delicious lunch in an historic setting.
This lovely old restaurant got a new chef (from O & B) a year ago. Unfortunately, he has single-handedly obliterated the quiet atmosphere for which it has been known for centuries. The all-day, unwanted, inappropriate commercial pop music is not conducive to stressed courtroom lawyers discussing their active litigation matters and overworked judges treating their fresh-faced clerks to a peaceful lunch. What a loss. What a shame. How one person is allowed to be so destructive of such a long, cherished tradition should be addressed by the LSO benchers.
The dining room itself is of great architectural interest and the stained glass windows are stunning. The menu offers good choice and the dishes we chose were delicious. Service and value are top notch. And, after dining, you can explore (ssshhh) the library and the Rotunda for further architectural delights.
Wild trout was over cooked, accompanying wild rice salad seemed like it was prepared the day before and too cold. Coffee was not good.
We booked a reservation for 10 for my call to the bar ceremony. The food, wine, service and atmosphere were all perfect. We had a wonderful time. The light coming in through the stained glass windows was lovely.
I absolutely love this restaurant and took my friends there for the first time yesterday. They were so WOWED.
Everything was perfect... food was delicious and fresh, friendly, professional staff and incredible venue,
Thanks to Stewart, and all the staff for making our dining experience so positive.
Great as usual - we are never disappointed but on this visit I have to say that I had the best service I have ever had at Osgoode Hall. Our server was phenomenal and this compliment comes from three industry veterans - all sommeliers!!
One of the best kept secrets in Toronto, a wonderful place to have lunch!
Never disappointed but the food (which was always good) is better than I can ever remember. My Icelandic cod main was fresh and perfectly cooked with delicious and well chosen accompaniments. One of the finest kitchens in the city - I’m returning for a business lunch next week!!
It's a nice place for professionals.
The food is well prepared.
I love the room. This place is a gem in the heart of the city. Been coming for 29 years. Waiter was SO nice and helpful. Keep it up.
A wonderfully festive place for a Christmas lunch with friends. The food was great, the service was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance was lovely.
The tirkey dinner was excellent especially the dessert.
Service was brisk and fairly impersonal.
Beware ordering tea for which we were chsrged $8.00 for 1 teabag in a pot for one.
This is one of the best kept restaurant secrets in the city. This may not be fine cuisine / dining, but it’s consistently excellent. I’ve been dining there for more than a decade, and continue to recommend it highly.
Beautiful historic room, well maintained. Food was simple and good. Service was professional. Good value.
Hostess was inefficient and did not relate to customers. Just going about doing her job, without any particular heart / passion.
In summary, an enjoyable experience. We will visit again soon.
It was a great experience to dine in Osgoode Hall with its old world charm! The dining room’s ambiance was super with the beautiful stained glass windows. The food was delicious and nicely presented. We had a very cheery helpful server. We will definitely dine here again.
It was very pleasant, the atmosphere elegant and calm, the service first class and we loved the food. I was celebrating a friend's birthday with three others and every one of us felt festive and delighted. Thank you, we will come again.
Osgoode Restaurant is located in a beautiful space at the Law Society of Ontario. With lots of history surrounding us, we enjoyed a delicious and healthy meal. I had the chicken breast and my friend enjoyed the trout. The Belgian chocolate cake was succulent! Prices are excellent for the quality of food, service and chance to dine in a one of kind historic building.
The food was great. Good ingredients, made well, delivered on time! Made it back to work on time!
Beautiful location. Great simple food.
We've always had a terrific experience. There just isn't a better place to enjoy lunch in downtown Toronto.
Birthday. Always pleasant and interesting
From arrival to departure the experience was very good.
Great food and service and an interesting ambiance. I love the fact there is no piped in music and one can carry on a conversation.
Food is delicious, and they serve the best butter tarts.
The restaurant is quite unique. You are surrounded by books and stained glass windows in an almost church-library like atmosphere. Service is excellent. The food was good. My soup starter had been heated too hot and was nothing special. My fish main course and dessert were good. My partner chose steak and chips and stated it was the best meal he has eaten in Canada!!!
A wonderful experience! We will be returning again soon.
I was impressed with the impeccable but polite and friendly service, the delicious food, and the beautiful room. I highly recommend this restaurant.
this is the hidden gem of lunch dining in downtown Toronto - i suggest the daily special
We ordered the fixed menu. Everyone found the appetizers and soups a bit disappointing. The main course was delicious, as was the dessert. Service was excellent, linen, plates and silverware were clean. Great ambience, and even though the tables are quite close together, the noise level was quite moderate and we could comfortably have good conversations. Would definitely recommend this to friends and colleagues.
