   I took my mom here for Mother's Day. We sat outside and it was the most perfect afternoon. The view was beautiful, food was amazing, service was good. Overall great experience and I will definitely be coming back!

   Very disappointing Mother’s Day brunch here. Lovely setting but there seemed a lack of staff…. Was not especially busy considering it was Mother’s Day. After being seated it took 25 minutes for anyone to come and take our order… waited another 35 minutes for our food. The food was ok but overall was not worth the wait. It was noted by management that we had waited too long and our drinks were comped.

   Laurel has so much potential, in an absolutely gorgeous hotel with beautiful patio, ambiance, decor. The last few times we’ve gone, service has gone downhill. Starting with reservations, seemingly no reservations open however less than half full every time we show up. Maybe low on staff? We had a reservation, waited 10+mins to be seated, then moved/cleaned our own table. First latte came out cold. We waited so long for a coffee refill I went to the counter and ordered my own. Food took quite longer than normal and were told “still waiting” but then came out cold. It also was made different this time so I wonder if there’s a new chef. I wish the food and quality could improve because I love this spot.

   We had the best service from Simo! He was personable, knowledgeable, and super friendly. Made the experience amazing.

   Food was average, service was exceptional from the two girls and the red head manager. Unfortunately I didn’t get anyone’s names. My experience turned poor when I saw how the very tall man with glasses was speaking to employees he seemed to be throwing a fit about barbacoa is what I kept hearing and he had his voice raised and stomped his foot. It made our experience very uncomfortable and we departed quickly. Won’t be back again

   Our dinner experience at Laurel was exceptional. Simo, our server was amazing. He made wonderful recommendations. Steering us towards the Burrata appetizer. I ordered a pasta dish, the ragu with braised beef and veal. It was very good. I would definitely order it again. All the pasta is made in house. My husband ordered the steak with Verde salsa. It was cooked nicely. They also brought out the pistachio ricotta cake with coconut, it was delicious. After dinner, we had time to kill. We wanted to soak in the views and incredible ambience, so we took a drink, and walked to the outdoor couches. We just sat and enjoyed the evening. Both of us forgot we were in Austin. If you're looking for a mini vacation, even if it's just for the dinner hour, take the gorgeous drive, enjoy really good service, live music, amazing views, and ambience, your partner. This dinner was not lost on me. One I will re-create time and time again...

   The waiter was very nice. The food was not edible and it took forever to get it. We were sat first in a restaurant with nobody in it and somehow he ended up with food last we ended up leaving and going somewhere else not a good experience.

   We sat at the bar at Laurel and had great service. We ordered the meatballs, Caesar salad, bolognese and broccolini. All were fantastic.

    My family and I went to Laurel for brunch yesterday, and the service was fantastic. I made the reservation for my birthday, and they not only paid attention to it but also took care to make me feel special on my special day!
