   Beautiful restaurant. Alex was a great server . Lobster Bisque was great along side of Caesar salad and grouper. Beignets were 5 star and freshly made coffee made for a perfect finish.

   Our experiences at this restaurant have generally been nothing short of amazing. We've visited numerous times, and the food, drinks, and overall ambiance have always impressed us. The service has typically been excellent as well, which is why it’s been one of our go-to spots. Unfortunately, our most recent visit didn’t quite live up to those past experiences. The service was noticeably lacking—we had to wait quite a while for drink refills, and our table wasn’t cleared of used plates and glasses, which was a bit inconvenient given the limited table space. That said, I understand that every place can have an off night, and I believe this was one of those instances. I still highly recommend this restaurant based on all my other visits, which have consistently been outstanding.

   For an exceptional dining experience in Key West, you need to reserve your table as soon as reservations are accepted before your visit. I believe they open 60 or 90 days before the date of the reservation. Our sunset dining experience was exceptional. The food was outstanding and the service was impeccable. We did have an issue with the bar service, but the manager was very accommodating and made everything right. We will be back on a future visit. Outstanding experience. Thank you!

   This may well be the most beautiful place to eat a meal in Key West....but.......food is average at best. We have been going once a year for 15 years plus. Menu has NEVER changed. Disappointed that we couldn't have separate checks as we have always done in the past. Because of that we didn't get dessert or drinks as we didn't want to mess with who had what to make it fair. No more parking comp for the Opal garage. Server seemed pretty disappointed in the lack of attention paid to the restaurant.

   Made reservation well in advance but nonetheless was given poor table which we changed but only slightly better. Entrees were greatly delayed to the point where we complained to the server and was told they had a large party which was being given priority. This was not acceptable and after more waiting and waiting we left.

   With the exception of a black man working outside at the dock, just before entering the restaurant, who when asked a simple question by my wife responded in a relatively put-out tone and then proceded to advise her that "there is a sign right there you could read" the mid-afternoon lunch was great. I was an inch away from slapping his smart XXX face. The place is beautiful, ferry was perfect, beach is very nice - our waiter was great and we had the pleasure of chatting with him and his boss on the ferry on the way back.

   The food was delicious, the scenery was spectacular, and the service was great. It's a fancier place but the prices weren't bad at all.

    A table of diners just behind us and basically in the middle of the room where we were seated was extremely loud, profane and drunk. Management did nothing to address this. In fact, drinks continued to be delivered. Despite the beautiful surroundings and our excitement to see the sunset in this acclaimed setting, we were so disgusted we could not eat. We turned a few times to look at the diners, hoping they would quiet down and tame their language. Finally, my husband left our table in search of the manager. Once the staff located him, he seemed unbothered by the issue, never apologized, and instead claimed to know nothing about it because he “wasn’t in the room.” During this encounter with the manager (who did take care of our bill), another very dissatisfied diner came up to the manager and said he was a customer for decades who had brought friends to the restaurant after bragging to them about how special it is and that he was so embarrassed for what they were experiencing due to the obnoxious table. I cannot comment on the food quality because we literally could not eat. When my husband returned from his discussion with the manager, we simply got up to leave. Our waiter asked us what was wrong and I quietly said, “the table behind us.” The waiter said nothing. He knew. We slipped out hopefully without making a scene. We were not offered a different seat, an invitation to return, or even an apology. Before traveling to Key West, we had made our reservations weeks in advance because availability is limited at this famous restaurant with amazing sunset views. We’re not prudes, but this restaurant is not a party bar, and management should have improved the experience for everyone in that room. If they did not know how, then we hope this has been a learning experience. We also hope they do not take their location for granted and let the service slide, because that is the surest way to turn from a special occasion restaurant to another local dive.
