Excellent service, excellent food, beautiful restaurant . We love coming here
Still one of our favorite places to dine... any where in the world. L'ATELIER never gets old.
Excellent meal! We enjoyed every courses and it was even better than last time!
We went full Evolution with wine pairing (classic, not premium). I have to say everything was wonderfully presented and tasted beautifully. The wine pairings were perfect. We sat at the counter and thoroughly enjoyed visiting with all of the friendly staff and even chatted up with Chef. My only criticism was I would have liked the sweet pea to be warmer in temperature and we were brought two quails instead of a quail and steak. They brought a steak and said it was compliments of the kitchen, when in actuality it was my order and it was cooked medium rare rather than the medium. Perhaps that was because I should be eating it medium rare, lol, but nonetheless....minor criticisms I think. We enjoyed it and it was worth the hefty price for the experience.
The food was amazing, the whole experience was absolutely delightful. We are definitely going to recommend this place to our friends.
Came with my wife for a anniversary dinner. The entire team at L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon was fantastic. My wife ordered 3 courses and I opted for the 5 course Spring menu. We enjoyed every course, especially the sauces of our main courses. My wife’s black bass had one of the most interesting curry that we have ever tried. We tried two desserts and both were fantastic. Presentation wise, the Nougat, is GORGEOUS. As photographers, we got to appreciate it even more later at home, when we noticed little details from the Nougat’s “bees”.
Chef Christophe Bellanca & team: congratulations and thank you for a outstanding experience!
We will be back,
Thiago & Ana
Outstanding experience. In my opinion, this is the best restaurant in New York. I love the counter seating. Service was excellent in all respects. Sommelier very knowledgeable. I hope to return soon.
Anniversaire de mme
In every way
Not much more I can really say in words.
Thank you for a beautiful experience!
We dine out almost every night and at all the best places.
The food here is excellent and the service we experienced was top notch.
can’t recommend Due to portion sizes and exorbitant prices.
We booked for the first time the NYC restaurant as we love the Paris resaurants and we are frequent visitors there. We were a party of 6 who arrived with good mood and high expectations. We ordered two good bottles of wine.
The restaurant is beautiful, the decore and ambience is great. However, service was Apathetic. It was extrimly slow, we waited two long in between dishes. one dish never made it to the table. Our remarks did not get the right attention, and servers were not attentive. We wanted to order more, but as it was all so slow, chose not to.
Still the food when arrived was very good as always at the L’ Atalier.
Unfortunately, we came out disappointed, and a bit irritated given the expectation.
Loved everything about it!
Will definitely be back ❤️
This is the first time at the New York City restaurant, we have been to the one is Las Vegas in the past... this restaurant was exceptional, the service was impeccable and the food was beyond words can explain.... everything we had was amazing.... I was celebrating my birthday/ 1 year retirement and received a complimentary dessert which was delish..... I highly recommend this restaurant to anybody who is looking for an amazing dining experience.....
Mediocre food. Portions are a joke. Charged wrong amount for the food. Ambience is pretty good.
We had a fun and fabulous night at this glitzy restaurant. Food was amazing as were the drinks. Our servers were great. The mashed potatoes were killer. We all did small plates. Some of the stand outs were the langoustine and the lotte. The wagyu beef was also amazing. It was the perfect restaurant experience: good friends, good food, good wine in a fun and beautiful space. We could not have been happier.
Food and service exceptional, as usual. Always an amazing experience!
Phenomenal all around! Wonderful dishes (if only a tad light quantity-wise) and great wine suggestions.
This restaurant is a good as it gets in fine dining experience
It felt like Robouchon restaurants in Paris and Monaco. Same red chair counter seating as Paris with a hushed ambiance. Service friendly, crisp, and professional. The dishes were uniformly outstanding: black truffles over pasta, eggplant confit, black bass, beef and foie grad mini burgers, langoustines, quail, black bass. All seasoned and presented beautifully. Enjoyed one of the signature cocktails, vieux carre. Of course we had the signature mashed potatoes! We will definitely return. A special evening.
Dining at L'Atelier is a unique and wonderful experience. The service, ambiance and food are beyond excellent.
Lackluster for this level.
The food was outstanding. Our captain/waiter, Jean Pierre was outstanding. The layout of the restaurant is too much like a high end bar. I really do not need to see the food being prepared. I am more interested in how the food tastes!
Had a great time. The spring menu is delicious. The service was great. I enjoyed seeing the kitchen in action as well.
Definitely one of the best restaurants in town. Innovative cuisine, best quality ingredients, perfect service.
Amazing experience. Espectacular service.
Loved our night sitting at the chefs table. Staff was very attentive and personable. One of our lighlights for the weekend.
Way too overpriced and we left hungry!!!!! Never again!!!!!!!
Amazing food and wine pairing with great service. Bar seating has limitations on privacy and noice level
Beautiful decor, standout details, nice colors.
Sat at the bar, amazing service, outstanding attention to customers. Food is always beautifully plated, so much so that you don’t want to eat it, but well... then you dive in. Delicious. Everything we ordered. Bread basket worth the wait. Personally I love the little baguettes only because I m not a fan of cooked cheese. But everyone loves the cheese rolls and they disappear in no time. Everything is amazing.
I expected excellent food - it was better than expected. Same with the service. B-day dinner with my wife - not many locals, unless Hong Kong, Tokyo and Canada are considered local. Kitchen is poetry in motion and the staff struck right balance between cool professionalism and warmth. We loved it; it wasn't on expense account, but we'll be back.
EVERYTHING ABOUT OUR DINING EXPERIENCE WAS WONDERFUL
Perfect as always
I guess they aim to be a "happening" two star restaurant - a really tough balance to hit. Only "chef's counter" seating is available for parties of two, but to call it a "chef's counter" is a bit of a stretch. Some seats have great views of the kitchen, others are best described as bar seating. The food is quite good, but hard to call it special, particularly in comparison to some of the other NYC two star rivals. We had what amounted to a very nice meal in an unusual and fun for a two star restaurant atmosphere, the food felt a bit overpriced for what it is, but they'll let you bringing your own wine (corkage was something like $50, a bargain compared to the typical markup here), pretty good overall.
I'd go back, bring a nice bottle of my own wine, and enjoy a good meal in an un-stuffy atmosphere - but there are other places I'd rather be (fittingly, those tables are harder to get).
From the moment you arrive the hostess made you feel welcome and and special. The wait staff and sommelier were thorough, friendly and accommodating. The food was simply amazing and we got the pleasure to meet the chef Christophe Bellanca after dinner who was easy to talk to qnd invited us back. Everything comes together like the pieces of a fine watch, and you have the best seat in the house to witness it all, worth every penny!!
Really loved the white asparagus with morilles mushrooms, the eggplant, the scallop crudo and the side of vegetables. We will order these again. The sole was not up to par to the rest, we will try something different next time. We really enjoyed being able to pick small portion dishes a la carte and create our own testing menu. The service was stellar from the whole staff. Bravo. We will be back.
This was an incredible experience! The ambiance, food, and service were all excellent. I cannot express just how wonderful a time we had. I can't believe this restaurant doesn't have three Michelin stars!!
Satisfied everything !
what would you expect from the best! Not our first time, but our best time. The counter is the place to be. You can go with the set menu or the a la carte, but the food is fantastic and everyone is pleased to assist and explain. Great for a special occasion. The bar is beautiful as well
Wonderful evening and a terrific meal. Very pricey. A few reasonably priced wines would have improved my mood.
