   Pre theater dinner. Television volume at screaming loud volume. Other diners complained and were told they were not allowed to change the volume. Much later, staff finally decreased volume. Food was forgotten and I had to ask for each item. They were delivered individually/piecemeal only after I informed the server that I didn’t get this then that. Servers themselves were polite and communicated in a professional manner.

   We chose the LaSalle Kitchen because of its proximity to the Morris Auditorium, and because it is affiliated with the (downstairs restaurant) LaSalle Grill, where I have had great dining experiences. The LaSalle Kitchen is an upstairs bar, with a more casual vibe. They are rotating themed menus every couple of months, and this rotation, IMHO, completely missed the mark. I was at the restaurant in February, and the vibe and food options were much better. The current Saloon theme with Southwestern-style food options was not appealing to anyone in our party. We ordered the "Cowboy Caviar" for a starter. It came with about a two-cup portion of a bean and corn salsa, one-ounce portions of the guac and the queso, and about 20 chips for four people. When we finally flagged down a server to ask for additional chips, they provided about 20 more. The server did indicate that options from the LaSalle Grill menu were available, and items (such as toppings on the hamburger) could be tailored. Our whole party ordered a variation of the "Bandito Burger", some with the chili and southwest topping, and some with alternate toppings. All were disappointed that the Prime Rib patty was not the expected tender, juicy burger but was somewhat dry and flavorless. No one in my party tried options from the alcohol menu on this occasion, so I cannot speak to the cocktails or beer and wine selections. Because the menu rotates, I advise checking the website to know what you are getting when you visit. We may try it after they change the menu.

   A total gem. We loved the vibe, food, music & drinks. The service was great until a few tables came all at once and they got backed up but everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. Will certainly repeat.

   Tiki themed menu and surroundings at the end of January were very nice, but we did not stick around for the live music. We were surprised by the limited menu, but the sliders with spam were unexpectedly fantastic. The drinks were also very good. But the mahi tacos with mango salsa were bland. Service was inconsistent, with waiters taking turns on us--and forgetting us for some longer stretches. It was good, but next time, we'll stick with downstairs at the LaSalle Grille for dinner.

    I enjoyed the fresh options with the Tiki menu, but it was fairly pricey. Also, my wife who only eats plain food had no reasonable options. It was a very busy night, so our server was not at our table very frequently.

    We have spent 7 NYE’s here and plan to continue. We also visit a few times through the year. Such a great vibe in that room. And the drinks are always amazing. The food is always good though I wish the menu had just a tiny bit more variety and options. But that doesn’t stop us from going! We really love LKT!!

    We go there most Thursdays for the trivia. The food is very good quality, and I love that the keep the menu fresh by changing it up almost every week. They treated me to a complimentary dessert last night for my birthday, and it was delicious. Overall, I love the place, but just wish there were a few simpler and less pricey options to choose from. For main courses, most of it starts around $18. The only things lower are salads and appetizers.

    Excellent! Best burger that I have had in a long time! I had the Kevin Bacon burger. We all enjoyed our food and drinks. Very nice place. We were there on a Friday and they had live music, which was very nice.

    Great atmosphere and beer selection. Service is always good. We ordered a beer that didn't turn out to be what we thought it was and they comped the one we did not like and brought us something different. We told them they didn't need to do it, but our waiter said they were happy to. He was extremely attentive. Bonus was playing shuffleboard while we waited for our food which arrived promptly.

    We came in with a group of 5 and had an amazing time. The knowledge of the staff regarding their bourbons was impressive - the cocktails were created with expertise and care regarding the ingredients and presentation. The old fashion was the best I have had! Our server, Betty, was excellent and provided great service to our party. The manager, Nate, came over and greeted our table -making us feel welcome. I can’t leave a review and NOT talk about our dinners!! So impressed by the quality, the flavor, and the uniqueness of the plates they serve at the tavern! We had wings, burgers, nachos, and ordered more wings! They take traditional bar food to the next level - the flavor profile of these seemingly simple dishes is only describable if you make a trip to LKT. We couldn’t say enough good things about our visit. From the handcrafted cocktails, the amazing dinner, the knowledgeable and kind staff to the amazing atmosphere at the Tavern. If you haven’t been - you’re missing a gem in south bend.

    We were visiting from Indianapolis and this was our first visit to LaSalle Kitchen & Tavern. I chose it because it was walking distance to the Morris Performing Arts Theater, but I was so glad I did. Everything was absolutely wonderful. Our servers were quite busy with multiple tables and still managed to be very attentive and helpful. We never felt like we had to wait too long for anything we needed. The food was incredible. We tried several things because we couldn’t decide. The Brussels and the cheese balls were my favorite. My husband tried the Gold Rush cocktail, it was delicious. My basic margarita I asked for was very good too. The atmosphere of the bar was super cool and we will definitely be back next time we’re in town.

    Fun spot for a terrific dinner! Bar food (you have to be over 21 to eat there), and there is music at 8:00pm on many nights. Menu is pretty limited to burgers and appetizers, with 1 or 2 other dishes. Food was delicious! Not a good place for vegans, other than that, highly recommended. We reserved at 6:30pm on Friday, unaware of the live music, and we were the only people there to eat. The area filled up pretty quickly around 7-7:30. Atmosphere is fun - it's a walk up on the third floor over the La Salle fancy restaurant. I'm guessing it's pretty loud when the music is playing, but I wish we could have stayed for the music. Seems like they book lots of diverse music - a fiddler and a guitarist were setting up for the first set when we left. Fun time!

    The vibe of this place is awesome. The alley leading to steps to enter is pretty cool the food was fine. The calamari wasn’t our favorite and the burger was a tad salty, but overall it was fine. When it comes to drinks, I prefer a wine glass. They use stemless but that is just a personal preference. The service was good. W

    We have been at this restaurant several times in the past few months and our visit this time was very different from our past experiences. The service was very slow and we were never able to receive our dessert despite it being a part of our set menu. The server was very apologetic but it didn’t appear that anyone in management cared. Every business is entitled to an occasional “off” day and hopefully yesterday was it.

    We had a party of 6. 4 of them had the filet and a couple of them said it was the best filet they had ever had. Steak was so tender that all you needed was a fork to cut it up. I had the salmon and it was the best salmon dish I have ever had. The cream sauce was the absolute best and complemented the salmon perfectly.
