   Food was great, at a great price for Aspen. The Service was questionable. Got orders wrong, brought the appetizer with the entree, and didn’t fill up water without us asking.

    Absolutely a must when in Aspen. The fajitas are big enough for two and are simply delicious. Our server was Jess and she is outstanding! Highly recomended.

    We’d been told this Mexican Restaurant in the old Jimmy’s location was receiving rave reviews. Unfortunately, we found Las Montanas very disappointing. Service, while polite, was very, very slow. Menu selection was quite lacking, and prices were absolutely ridiculous, even by Aspen standards. Caesar salad was wilted and way over done with the anchovies, and the beef enchiladas were on par with Taco Bell. Mi Cholla is a much better choice for Mexican food in Aspen. Las Montanas will be lucky to last a season.

    My husband and I are visiting Aspen for a few days and dining out is part of the fun of being a tourist. We had an enjoyable.dinner and appreciate that there are some unique offerings on the menu, not just standard Mexican fare. In the spur of the moment, a friend joined us— I shared my salad with him and he ordered an entree and a drink for himself. Our server took it all in stride, without any problem at all.

    When this first opened it was one of our favorite restaurants in Aspen. They have changed the menu and raised the prices again. Chicken enchiladas were $34. Rice and beans were extra. Quality of the food was average. Margaritas were $22 each. We ordered beef tacos , chicken enchiladas, appetizers, margaritas and the bill was over $200 with tip.

    Everything was delicious. I had crab tostadas, husband had beef enchiladas, 1 kid had a soft taco plate and the other had bean and cheese nachos with steak. We are from Texas so skeptical of Tex Mex elsewhere, but we loved the food. The ONLY negative I have is the margarita mix was awful. Wine selection great though.

    The food was excellent quality meats and ingredients. The restaurant was nice and the service was good. The margaritas were delicious with fresh ingredients and quality tequila. We will definitely go back for dinner with family.

    Great experience, Jimmys was well replaced! Not as expensive as people are saying. Very comparable if not better than local competition. FOOD, outstanding. Get the Octopus and the enchilada verde. Next time we will try the fajitas as they were wafting by our table this time and smelled irresistible! Omar was our waiter, it was SO nice to experience a friendly spirit who seemed genuinely happy we were there. Loves his job and the food he is serving. We will be back! thanks for a great Aspen dining experience!

    Best restaurant I’ve been to in Aspen. Food, service, ambiance, fun—all 5 stars. I’m local to the Rockies and have been to restaurants from Vail to Aspen. Las Montanas is my favorite. Excellent wine list. Try the pineapple and ribeye fajitas and chocolate mousse dessert. Fabulous.

    Very good service, food was quite good, but the value was missing. Everything on the menu unbelievably high priced: $54 for one cheese enchilada plate, a bowl of tortilla soup, chips, and one coca-cola.

    5 of us for dinner and last minute added 2 more! The hostess figured it out fast & seamlessly. The fajitas are solid but the big takeaway is the molé! Loved the restaurant vibe. Chic & easy. This place will be a mainstay. I’m not old but the menu font is too tiny! 😂

    drinks were poor, food was good not great. price was stupid high for what the experience was. maybe locals just can't afford it but the food felt like an attempt at special but missed. my 16 year old daughter pours better margs and while its true as a local I almost never eat in Aspen because the pricing is just offensive and this falls into that bucket. also i think someone stole my friends Credit card info and used it to try to purchase a jacket at Gorsuch the next day

    The service was spot on. We ordered the steak fajitas. Coming from Southern California we love steak fajitas. Las Montanas chefs do an amazing job of seasoning and preparing the steak. It was the best! The tortillas are made to order in the kitchen. All you need is the fresh tortillas and steak, nothing else. The black beans were very good. I would recommend Las Montanas to everyone! We ordered a half dozen tortillas to go.
