The service ,drinks and the food was beyond excellent!
Trip to new york
Good food, amazing wine list but very noisy and crowded
It was my boyfriend’s birthday, and I made reservations so early in advance. It was quite disappointing when we got there that we got probably the worst table in the whole restaurant. We were directly in the middle of the service station where bus boys were fooling around, being passed by with trash bins, brooms, and broken glass. We were excited to come here, and I felt that the experience was effected the moment we sat down. The food was impeccable as always.... I guess I should have requested another table, so in the end it was probably my fault. I really think the two tables in the service area should be removed all together, I can’t imagine anyone being able to have the best experience possible in that location.
Service was wonderful and food was amazing! Recommended by a friend who lives and NYC and did not disappoint! Be sure to try the Texas Mimosa and Banana French Toast. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. We will be back next trip!
Unbelievable restaurant!!! Honestly, might be my favorite in NYC.
Food was not as good as I expected. Had to return a today's special with Uni in it because pasta was soggy... We tried 3 different pastas but all seemed to taste the same. To be honest a bit disappointed with the service too. They first tried to move us to a seat in between tables when they clearly had availability elsewhere. I had to ask three times to get us a seat where it was slightly quieter. Server rarely came around to check and we had to ask multiple times to get his attention. I would never take my date here as it's not as impressive as advertised. Especially if they were a real foodie.
Great food. Help in the kitchen would make sense.
Vert good place overall. Not quite the epitome of fine dining reviews would lead you to expect. Service was perfunctory, not exactly rude but rather dismissive. Pastas were not exactly extraordinary but very very good. Wines by glass just so so.
Great dinner spot. Sitting at the bar is really fun. The food was great, make sure to get pasta!
Great meal, great atmosphere, great service!! We sat upstairs and it was a bit quieter, which was nice.
Amazing food. Amazing service. Best meal in New York
Family in town. Best restaurant in the neighborhood!
We chose L’Artusi for the last meal before the kids headed home from a Thanksgiving visit. The whole experience was excellent. We were late for brunch and L’Artusi was very accommodating. Can’t wait to experience their dinner!
I came here for my anniversary after reading so many great reviews. My experience surpassed what I read! Our meal started off with some prosecco (so delicious!) and then we dug into the menu. Our waiter (I unfortunately did not get his name) made the experience so much better. He was so knowledgeable, warm, and genuine! His suggestions were great, and every single thing we ordered was delicious. Our grappa tasting at the end was awesome especially thanks to his guidance.
You NEED to try the wagyu tartare and hen when you go!
Can't wait to come back for another special occasion!
Wie bereits vor 2 Jahren sind wir auch dieses Mal rundum begeistert vom L‘Artusi!
Another superlative meal which included the most tender pork chop and new dish - chestnut pappardelle which was very tasty. Great service. Lively atmosphere.
We’ve a problem with the carpaccio -it was salty even they didn’t ask any put salt on it or not. We can call this restaurant modern Italian which is located in America.
We went here for a late brunch on a Sunday. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I had told them when I booked the table that it was our anniversary, and the first thing we got was a glass of sparkling wine on the house to celebrate. We also brought our three year-old and they were very helpful and kind with her. The food was great. I had the ricotta crespelle, and it was delicious. My daughter had the lemon ricotta pancakes, they were also very good. We will definitely come back here, would love to try their dinner menu as well. To sum up: The food is very good and affordable. Service was great!
Food was outstanding and our server was super friendly. Would go back in a heartbeat.
I really wanted to rave about this restaurant but I am going to say it was okay. Getting a reservation was an adventure but trying to get to our table was more of an adventure. Restaurant has one host who assigns tables to the people with reservations and also assigns bar seats to a large number of people who come in without a reservation. So the whole thing was a chaos. We eventually got to our table after having to wait on the line few more minutes than we really wanted. At the same time some people would simply bypass the host line and go to another person who seemed like the floor or the service manager. They were ushered to their seats or tables without having to wait on the line. Perhaps like the saying goes, it's not what you know what who you know.
Food is very good; a lot of small dishes start with, salads, vegetables, pasta dishes and mains. Pasta courses were excellent. Service was amazingly fast, there is hardly any down time between the courses and check arrives as soon as you take the last bite of your dessert. I have to admit, this restaurant is run like a very efficient assembly line. It's just that I really hoped it would have been a more enjoyable experience after all the anticipation.
We went here for my fiance's birthday and it was wonderful! We got a few pastas and apps to share and definitely recommend doing it that way. Our server was amazing, he recommended a great wine and when he found out there was a b-day he did a special app and a little gelato dessert!
This place is all about the scene. Food and service were below average. Staff was extremely pretentious.
This is our “go-to” place in NY. We got to know it by accident one night, and just sat at the bar. It was so perfect that now for any special night out, we don’t hesitate. It’s that good. Food, service, ambiance. It’s as good as you’ll ever get!
Never disappoints, food is consistently great. Had the short rib special tonight which was melt in your mouth meat with polenta. Hope they continue to offer that. Went will with a side of the crispiest new potatoes. Seated on time, with excellent service throughout the meal. All the dishes seemed priced well, even the specials, making this the best value in the city IMHO.
Great food. Hard to get a reservation. Quite loud.
Delicious, great service, great ambiance. Definitely a special occasion restaurant.
Delicious food & wonderful service right in the heart of the Village. If you haven't been go and if you have go again.
The food is exceptional, but you can learn that by looking at the photos. What mattered...the service was extremely warm, and we enjoyed the food and drinks more because of it. The staff was knowledgeable, professional and somehow felt familiar. We were visiting from out of state and enjoyed our meal because it was affordable and welcoming.
Excellent dinner. Highly recommend. Lively upscale ambiance
Came for a one year anniversary. Service and environment was great. They served us complimentary white wine for the occasion which was very nice of them. The starting dishes were great, ricotta cheese special, beef carpaccio and scallops. The main pasta dishes were good but salty but did not warrant sending back for another wait. Only dissapointed in that. Overall a good experience.
I heard this was a "must" on my visit to NYC and people weren't wrong. The scallop appetizer was out of this world and friends and I got three different pasta dishes to share... amazing!
We celebrated to birthdays here this weekend. The good & service was delicious. There were seven people in our party and we all had a different entree and everybody loved their dish! I’d say the highlight was the spaghetti and the pork chops! Honorable mentions go out to the mushroom pasta and hanger state with fried potatoes... oh my gosh so good.
The only downside was the tables were so close you could other people’s conversations
But love the food and will be back
Fantastic! It’s not a quiet place but the loud doesn’t annoy and gives the restaurant a nice ambience. The food is very particular and is excellent! The pasta is delicious and the olive oil dessert is outstanding! I never tasted something like that. Congratulations to the restaurant staff!
Amazing pasta, great ambiance. L’Artusi never disappoints!
Great food and great service
Better than Lilia. There I said it!
One of my favorite NYC restaurants. Great vibe, food, staff, and wine list. Great selection of Amaris with a helpful staff!
