Terrific food at prices below what this level of quality and ambiance usually commands. Great vibe and location.
Pasta a little too soft. Pork chop was spectacular. Pastas hit or miss. Would go again, but just order a bit differently. Best playlist Ive heard at a restaurant and just an awesome vibe.
Exceptional service , I’m already planning to make
a dinner reservation, we like to taste their excellent
Truly amazing food and service!! Highly recommend to go for date night and special occasion:)
Wonderful experience and great food! I will be back!
Great dinner on our trip in NY. Warm welcoming experience from top to bottom. Food and drink were outstanding. Thank you
Great food, and absolutely wonderful service. I was worried this restaurant would be too much about hype but it was fantastic
So great but so loud
Truly one of the best Italian restaurants in NYC, and I grew up in Italy.
Prices are extremely reasonable, and the ambiance/service very pleasant.
The food at L'Artusi is outstanding. The wine menu is incredibly extensive, and the staff are very knowledgeable. If you're looking for top quality Italian food, this is a must. It's not cheap, but great for a special occasion or a fancier dinner choice.
The lamb ragu with ricotta was absolutely unmissable. Order it, you won't regret it.
Food and service were incredible.
A lovely meal at L'Artusi. Every dish was well composed and delicious. Service was attentive and it was well worth the trip down town.
It is a fabulous restaurant with great food and no airs. The only downside is getting a reservation. Staff and food are stellar .
Food is impeccable at L'Artusi, as is the Italian wine list. On a Thursday night, a 5:30 rez, the restaurant became much more noisy in the next hour than I remembered it. It was packed, as it is, I think, every night. Hard to get a reservation.
L'Artusi just does it so well. we happened to be there for a birthday meal, but it really is an any night of the week type place. Can't comment on entrees since we never get past pasta and they are all just so good. we shared the mushroom and the lamb/mint ragus this time around.
Great restaurant! Made reservations here as a referral from a friend. The food was fantastic. Ordered the hanger steak and eggs which is not my normal breakfast food. Steak was flavorful , juicy and cooked to perfection. The blanco salsa was a treat in itself. Service was attentive without being hoovering. The portions were large with each bite an explosion in my mouth. Great place and I look forward to coming back soon!
Great food, wonderful server. Reasonably priced (for manhattan)
i just love this place! superlative food, ambient, location
Consistently outstanding food, especially the decadent pasta dishes with enough variety to satisfy every palate. The olive oil cake is a must. Awesome service and attention to detail.
This might be the best value for your money restaurant in NYC. Had an amazing meal; will be daydreaming all week about the ricotta cheese special!
Still dynamic, attentive and fun, with the best pasta in nyc. Perfect.
I had dinner here with a friend. After trying to get a reservation for about a year we finally scored one. Given its popularity we were expecting "outstanding," Instead it was "very good." Without the hype we'd probably think about coming back, but in the end it didn't feel worth the extra effort. The decor is rustic with lots of wood, attractive but not memorable. The noise levels are pretty high, but manageable for conversation. The food ranged from superb to very good. The bread is excellent, with peppery olive oil reminiscent of the best of Tuscany. The shishito peppers were wonderful, and the standout was the special burrata and stoned fruits and tomato appetizer. The burrata was the creamiest I've ever had. We then split their signature pssta dish, spaghetti with garlic scapes and parmesan. It was simple but delicious. We had the swordfish and branzino entrees. Both were very good. Not ethereal, but well prepared and tasty. We did not have dessert. Service was generally good but uneven. One server told us the specials and then our main server came to do the same. When our server helped with us the wine list (apparently there is no sommelier) I asked for a red that would go well with seafood at a particular price limit. He pointed me to one a dollar below my limit, then one that was $9.00 above it. I dislike that way of dealing with customers, as it gives an impression of pushing more expensive wines rather than satisfying the customer's desires. It also puts the customer in the awkward position of having to say "that's over the limit I asked for." We also ordered the peppers after seeing them on other tables because we'd missed them on the menu. When they didn't come out with the other appetizer we asked about it and our server told us he arranged for them to come with the pasta. But he had not asked us when we wanted them. Overall, very good but I don't understand the hype.
First time experience was great. Staff were wonderful and very attentive. Loved the recommendations our server suggested and they even brought out a nice little ice cream with candle for my husband’s birthday. Food was delicious and will go back again!
This was my first visit to the restaurant and I had a wonderful birthday experience at Lartusi. Fabulous food and wine and the service was SUPERB. I cannot wait to return!
The food was mediocre at best. Octopus was chewy, pork chop was half fat and the rest was chewy. Their "signature" mushroom dish was nothing special. We had a couple good glasses of wine. The space is extremely cramped and noisy and the clientele are unsavory. If you are there for a meeting or on a date, bar seating is likely a better option.
Amazing combinations of ingredients. Like a party for my palate. Def worth the wait For reservations. I will be back!
Excellent food, excellent service, we were celebrating our anniversary and it did not disappoint. Flavors were delicate and well executed. Fresh and scrumptious- would return in a heart beat!!
Sat Upstairs and appreciated that it was a little quieter than downstairs. Really liked some new additions to the menu especially the tuna Crudo which was a very refreshing preparation. Food is consistently excellent.
Everything was wonderful ... the ricotta was amazing . BucAtini was perfect . The only disappointing thing was the branzino which was almost no fish and all olives . Nikki was a fabulous server.
Raspberry stracciatella yummm
Very good food, elegant restaurant. Poor service. The waiter didn’t understand the order of the dishes we explicitly said. Also, the food arrived before the bottle of wine we ordered: this is an unforgivable mistake for a restaurant like L’Artusi.
I visit LArtusi every time I visit NYC (or at least when I can get a reservation). It is probably my favorite restaurant in the city. I have been here many times and have never been disappointed. The food is amazing, the service always on point, and it's got a great overall vibe.
Simply amazing, booked a month before, worth the wait.
Overall, I liked the pastas and ricotta cheese and mushroom appetizers we tried, but not sure if I would go back given how hard it is to get a reservation here.
The manager and staff are exceptional and went above and beyond. Love coming here.
Awesome food and environment. Knowledgeable staff. Never disappoints!
Everything was amazing food environment and service. They even wished my girlfriend happy birthday with a cake from my notes in Opentable
Took my out-of-town parents to L'Artusi and WOW did we have such an incredible experience! We were promptly seated for our reservation and greeted by the most personable and knowledgeable waitstaff. The space is beautiful and the food/drinks not only are presented like art, they taste incredible! Everything we ordered was delicious and expertly recommended. One thing I have to mention was the branzino came with way too many olives (the fish was presented on an entire bed of olives) that took away from the delicate flavour of the fish and made the dish quite salty, though that's just our taste. Overall, amazing and worth waiting a month for the reservation
Amazing food & service! We ordered beef cappaccio and apricot ricotta for appetizer. For the pastas we ordered the famous garganelli and todays special octopus pasta which was fantastic. We were so full but had to finish with the olive oil cake!!! So delicious! Its so hard to get a reservation but i would def go back :)
