Loved hearing the near by music ;). Great food and service.
Larkins was as usual, excellent. (I kinda wish there were a ribeye choice smaller than the 28oz) but we had a ribeye with brussel sprout hash, shrimp and grits, she crab soup and the wedge salad. All excellent. We even had those pre-bottled mixed drinks the bartender makes...they're always so delicious.
Very nice Table fabulous food
Ribs of lamb were fantastic. My wife loved the salad. Had to send my rack of lamb back as it was not cooked to my satisfaction. Issue was resolved to my satisfaction. My wife rack of lamb was cooked to perfection.rare rare
My filet migon was over cooks as if they had it sitting in the oven and my husband only had three bones on his rake of lamb but every other place that we saw coming out had a few more. This was for my husband birthday and I wanted to be special. I just felt a little burnt with the food quality when I know it's always good.
Our pre-theater 'brunch' was very good.....your staff people were very helpful at having our table ready (it was sweltering hot).
Temperature was in the 90s & we were on the hot side as we were on the open side (not complaining). My husband had a full-meal, and I had more of a snack (sort of). I really liked the hard-boiled eggs - haven't had them in a many months. Staff was great to keep refilling water glasses.
Excellent atmosphere; nice service though our waitress had too many tables & no busboy; great salads, tapas, appetizers; main entrees are ok but nothing special; cheesecake was inedible.
Food was exceptional!
Our server must have been new because he seemed a little lost.
Excellent food and location. The valet parking is very convenient before the show at Peace center
The fame of the She Crab Soup is justified. The filets were cooked to perfection and the service was very attentive. I believe that this restaurant is an excellent value.
As always Larkin’s does not disappoint. It was a 49 year anniversary celebration and was perfect
Service was slow
My friend treated me to a night out celebrating a contract I landed. Everything was outstanding. Started With a couple cocktails. She got a pear martini and I got the campfire. We started with the calamari steak with a pistachio and sweet mustard crust. Amazing. Then went to oysters Rockefeller, best in town. Tables side Caesar salad followed. Best salad I’ve ever had. We ordered a bottle from their “unusual reds.” Delicious. Was similar to a noir. I ordered the aged ribeye with a blue cheese crust and side of mushrooms and she got the filet with a baked potato. Both were phenomenal and cooked to perfection. For Dessert we had the Baked Alaska. And finished with some limoncello. Wonderful table presentation. Memo took awesome care of us. And David the manager made sure everything was up to Larkins’ standard. A beautiful night out.
The service was good but slow. It was hot inside the restaurant and they had to redo my steak. For the money I excepted a lot better.
Worst service ever. 2nd table seated on patio at 5:15 one of the last served. Appetizers came out after entree. 20minutes to get a drink. The show tables got priority. I guess I failed to mention we were also going to show. But booked my table with plenty of time. Unsincere apology from manager. Waitress rude.
Should have ordered a steak. Fish was great but should have ordered steak. The scallop appetizer is a must!!
Our friends just moved to SC and we were visiting. The food, the service, the location and ambiance were great.
The food was great. Our waiter was real nice and very good at his job. My wife and I went for our anniversary and overall had a great time.
Enjoyed all but the Corona concert event make an already noisy restaurant hard to have a fine dining experience.
Avoid lunch if you want an experience similar to the dinner reviews. The lunch menu was very limited and mostly hamburgers. If we wanted a hamburger, Five Guys would be better. Service was definitely sub-par for a presumably higher end restaurant. Fortunately, the ambiance and riverside setting is excellent any time of day.
We stayed at the Hampton, short walk to the restaurant. Beautiful inside, food was great, we had mahi and tuna, good bottle of rose. Our server was great.Would definitely recommend.
Our server (Michael Craft) was well informed and attentive. Special thank you to Larkin's for accommodating my food allergy and making such an incredible dinner. I had the Sesame encrusted Ahi tuna and my date had the Mahi Mahi.
We were visiting Greenville and Larkin's on the River was recommended as one restaurant to try. The food was good as was our service, but I thought it was very overpriced. I would highly recommend a cup of the She Crab Soup - it was excellent
Lovely, traditional steak house. Thoroughly enjoyed. Will return.
Good service. Great steaks. Every bit as good as the higher priced restaurant across the river.
Excellent experience. Great service, awesome entrees, addtl food and wine. Attentive service. Thank you.
Had reservations a week in advance and when we arrived ask if we could be seated outside. We were told no because tables were reserved. Seated inside with view of patio and no customers arrived to sit outside during the time we were there. Servers were nice but service was not good! Waited on wine, long wait on food and had to ask for check because server was taking candles off all the tables. There were less than 25 people total in the bar, outside and inside dining area. No excuse for the poor service and being lied about the outside seating. Disappointed to say the least for the cost and anticipation of dining there while in Greenville.
Great overall! However if you want anything other than a filet, you have to order a ridiculous size. 28 oz ribeye! The crab "soup" is very tasty, but it's more of a chowder, super thick.
Hostess and Server were great.
The service wasn't very good. We didn't get the bread until a manager brought it out to us. My wife ordered a glass of wine and wasn't brought out until we had to ask for it again. Many tables were complaining about the service and cold bread. My wife ordered the 3 course signature meal and didn't get the soup/salad portion of it before the main entree was brought out. They forgot our sides. The manager had to come to our table twice and apologize and then no sort of compensation was offered for the service. Still left a good tip because we aren't scumbags.
Fantastic evening to celebrate Anniversary. Server was excellent and ensured we had a great evening. She Crab soup is TO DIE for. So thick and rich with copious amounts of crabmeat. Ribeye steak melted in my mouth like butter. So tender and cooked perfectly. Wife’s shrimp & grits were amazing. We ordered the brussel sprouts and they were well undercooked and without flavor. Server noticed, apologized, and removed the order from our bill without hesitation. Overall experience was fantastic. Atmosphere was lively but you can easily carry on a conversation. Will be back!
Asked for bread three times but never got it. 😠
great food. great service. great drink menu. great location.
We visited Larkin’s for a special occasion: high school graduation. The servers (we had 2) both recognized her for her achievements and went out of their way to acknowledge her . We had fantastic truffle fries for an appetizer (our 11 year old fussy boy polished them off) and every person loved their choice from the menu.
The Lava cake with ice cream was amazing and the cappuccino really hit the spot.
I will be returning.
Great food and service. People where easy to speak with. Bartenders friendly
Great dining experience and the waiter know a lot about food pairing which I enjoy the conversation and the recommendation as well.
Wonderful experience from start to finish. Food was excellent, service was attentive without being intrusive, and the ambience was upscale yet approachable.
Very relaxed setting, our server Serenity was professional and attentive. The lunch experience was casual and well paced and the food was exactly what we were hoping for. I would recommend Larkin’s on The River for lunch and for drink and dinner with friends.
My dinner at Larkin's on the River was perfect. The steak was soft and flavorful. The fries with truffle sauce and Parmesan cheese were fabulous! Our waiter was so nice and attentive. We loved being outside, people watching, and enjoying such a terrific supper. I would love to go again. It was an evening never to be forgotten.
We celebrated any anniversary and they made it extra special with a few "comps". Great meal and service.
We were very displeased with her overall experience was not impressed for the price of our meals atmosphere was stale service was subpar waiter was very unfriendly ! I have to say probably would never return if I did would only be for appetizers and dessert Because this were the only things that are good! Was very excited because I thought it was gonna be a great place maybe we just caught you on a bad night
