L'Antica Pizzeria Da Michele
World-renowned Italian Neapolitan pizzeria L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele arrives in Los Angeles early 2019. The first U.S. location of the historic pizzeria featured in the film Eat Pray Love, Antica Pizzeria Da Michele is located in the space which once held Hollywood’s beloved Café Des Artistes. Antica Pizzeria Da Michele will serve traditional Neapolitan pizza, using the same recipes and importing the same ingredients used at its origin restaurant. Upon opening, head pizzaiolo Michele Rubini, who trained in Napoli, will serve the concept’s two classic pizzas, Marinara and Margherita, with plans to expand the menu with the location’s own unique twist in the future.
Inspired by Italian courtyards, which serve as central gathering points for locals, guests who visit the all-new Antica Pizzeria Da Michele are seated in “il cortile” the restaurant’s quintessential Hollywood garden.

Great food and service
The food was absolutely phenomenal. I thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. I will definitely be back soon!
This place is amazing! It all comes together - food, service, ambiance. It's a beautiful space, perfect for outside or indoor dining, warm, inviting, open. Even the waiting area is impeccably designed and comfortable. The service is perfect - knowledgeable, friendly, helpful yet not overbearing. But the food is why we keep coming back. The pizza delivers - it's everything you want it to be, flavorful, chewy, cheesy, and smoky - fresh from the oven. The salads are fantastic - definitely recommend the Caesar or the Beet Salad. You cannot go wrong here!
My friend and I had the best time here! We ordered the margarita pizza the beat salad and one of the pasta dishes! Let’s not forget about the cannolis! Everything was delicious! We are dreaming about having more of the pizza! We highly recommend it! Walking distance to the Dolby theater as well!! All the servers were very friendly. Don’t pass this one by!!
We've been coming since they opened in 2019 and it's consistently excellent. So happy to have an authentic slice of Italy in L.A.
A wonderful find! The restaurant offers an indoor dining area as well as an outdoor dining space with fireplace. We dined on the outdoor patio which is lovely! The center of the restaurant includes an inviting lounge area with fireplace and adjacent bar. L'Antica is known for their Neapolitan pizza's and they offer a selection of pizza's all of which are fabulous. We also ordered a few pasta dishes, equally as delicious and a few salad varieties. The desserts are all made in-house as well. We had a fabulous meal and relaxing time which we hope to duplicate soon. There is valet parking available across the street which is easy access. L'Antica is a "must try" if you haven't already. Be sure to book a reservation as the restaurant fills up quickly during peak hours.
Favourite pizza in LA. Everything we’ve tried was delicious. Warm friendly service. Don’t miss it.
BEYOND amazing food I cannot rave enough!! Went to this restaurant since we couldn’t make it when we were abroad in Naples. The atmosphere was lovely, amazing wine and kind staff! We got the diavola pizza which was the perfect kind of spicy and just a perfectly thin crust pizza you dream of when going to Italy or an amazing Italian restaurant like L’Antica. Citrus salad was light and refreshing, we also started with the fried gnoccho or whatever it was called but was basically fried pizza dough with prosciutto and arugula. Like does a meal get much better than all of that?! Go with a bottle of wine to pair it won’t disappoint! Hope this review helps you 100% decide to go here or also shows the restaurant how amazing it is and what a wonderful time we had!! Thank you L’Antica, can’t speak of you highly enough and we will be BACK!
Delicious! I love that there are plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. My new go to Italian spot in LA.
A pizza place should not sera soggy, cold pizza. Salad was way over dressed, especially when you consider its an anchovy dressing. A little goes a long way. Service was good but the food was was very disappointing.
