We went for Restaurant Week. Dinner was listed for $35 p/p but when we arrived it was $45 p/p. My husband really enjoyed his salmon. I had the stuffed flounder and it was okay. The salad seemed like bagged salad. The best part was the dessert. I looked at the menu pricing and it was only about a $10 savings. I was disappointed.
The food was great. The server was attentive and on point. We were very happy with our food selections and our cocktails were amazing! Highly recommend it.
The location is great, really nice having a live band. Upstairs bar was fun, and entertainig. Food was very good for the most part. Steak and lobster were delecious, bisque outstanding. I had the etouffe, perhaps it was just me, but kinda bland. Server, was OK, but towards the end of the meal he was (MIA), before that his service was good. Will definately return...
Very accommodating for large parties! As busy as it seemed to get, we never felt rushed to end our dining experience (which took about 3hrs d/t 2 ppl in out party arriving late). The music from upstairs was also a nice addition. My husband and I plan to go back on a date night for dinner, and then to experience the upstairs lounge that was very intriguing.
too much up sale waiter talked way to much felt like a used car sales meeting food was good a bit dry expected a bit better for the money
High quality, upscale dining, in a casual river walk setting. Perfect for special occasions, or in our case a nice lunch while conveniently in town for the afternoon.
The service was very very slow. The food was not as good as the price. My wife enjoyed her food. We both enjoyed our desserts. Overall a good experience but for the money I was not WOWED.
Our food was excellent. The ambience is excellent.
Small meeting over dinner. Great environment.
Upscale environment, good prices, great food
Good Service and food.
Food was mediocre at best. I expected so much more, but as my 16 year old son put it ‘it felt like we were eating yesterday’s leftovers and this place didn’t deserve our reservation’.
Service and ambiance were great.
Great spot on the river walk! Excellent food at reasonable prices and always friendly service. The cedar plank salmon was fantastic and is always one of our favorites!
Nobody and restaurant would not see this very short staffed or out of almost everything we tried to order not pleased at all very uncomfortable for us I obviously don’t know what the word Customer means Terrible!!! How can you be out of everything!!!
Food taste was great. Ribeye Valentino is over priced for an over bearing amount of mushrooms. Service was average. Drinks were good
The service was practically non existent because we wanted patio dining to be safe for the pandemic and the food was not impressive at all. I usually don’t post poor reviews even if the food is bad but this meal was practically unethical. They served my five year old fried pieces of bread instead of fried chicken tenders. Our adult plates weren’t much better but were at least the meat we ordered. I have had a better meal at Red Lobster for a quarter of the price. This place was not fine dining and I would trust McDonalds more for quality than what this place exhibited tonight with serving fried bread in place of fried chicken in their kids meal to my 5 year old. Pictures below.
The lobster bisque and crab cake was excellent. Unfortunately, the filet I ordered had little to no flavor. I think whoever prepared it forgot to add any salt or pepper. The red fish my wife order was over cooked.
Food was similar in taste to Long John silver. Staff was very short handed but over the service side was good and attentive.
We went for our anniversary, and it was the absolute worse experience we have ever had dinning.
Besides the waiting before having a table ready even tho it was a previous reservation. The food and service were really good.
Was an amazing experience, everything was awesome
Andrew was really kind and nice.
The problem was that we already had a reservation but still they made us wait for 40 minutes until a table was ready.
And they gave us a table that was recently used and didn’t clean it and sanitised it well.
The food was really good and Andrew’s attention and recommendations were on point, that saved the night.
We come downtown to Landrys specifically every holiday season. It has always been one of my favorite spots for dining along the river walk. But this year was different. Our experience wasn't "bad". But it was not the standard I've come to know and expect from a finer dining establishment. Our waitress greeted us in a timely enough manner. She was nice and pleasant and professional enough. However, she seemed to skip some steps of service i feel. We were never told of a nightly special, usually something off the menu that is something to consider. We were never offered or brought bread that usually comes with our meals. I'm not sure if salads come with the meals or if they're a la carte, but didn't get one or offered either. When the food arrived, i think good service comes to check to ensure that the customer is satisfied with the food. That didn't happen. We had one plate that had was not satisfactory. We had to get the attention of another staff member to address it. We sparingly saw our server throughout the meal. Not saying she didn't come by at all. She did. But at times refills on drinks or clearing of finished plates would have been nice. If the restaurant had been packed, i would've understood. But it wasn't. There were a number of empty tables. A dessert menu or coffee option was never offered. We are fairly familiar with the menu and have a favorite, so we just ordered that.
The food was very good. But the portions and plates seemed to have gotten smaller over the years. I remember getting plates and servings that just about filled plate just a few years ago.
All in all, again it wasn't a "bad" experience. It just wasn't the GREAT that encouraged going to Landrys a holiday tradition.
Will our server was Awesome!! He kept our drinks filled. Food was great and the right portion. Was busy for New Years Eve. But everything was great.
My husband and I opted to give Landry’s a second try after a horrible experience in Houston. New Year’s Eve dinner. I made a reservation and we showed up 2 minutes before time. We still had to wait 30 minutes on a table. My husband ordered a shrimp dish to which they came back and replied they were out of that dish. This is about 7pm. How can they not be prepared to tell people they are out of a popular shrimp dish, on this kind of night, and being a seafood restaurant? He ordered a 2nd dish. They came back and said that was out as well. So he ordered a bowl of shrimp gumbo. It was not even edible. It was as if they poured the salt container in the gumbo and it was lukewarm to top it off. He sent it back and the server mentioned there were the same complaints about it from others. They sure were pushing their specials though which were not what we wanted and were the most expensive things on the menu. At that point, he gave up and decided not to even eat. My redfish came out which was a $37 dish. The fish was dry, the asparagus was hard. I ate the fish because I was starving. I would absolutely not recommend this restaurant and will never go there again.
The menu was full of options from seafood to beef. Great view of Riverwalk.
Great place. We sat outside. A little busy with people walking by but the food was delish.
Our service with Anthony was the best ever. Second to none he did a great job with our table and the ones around us
Steak was over cooked and the seafood on top of it was dried out. Server forgot to bring drinks, forgot our order and didn’t seem to be engaged.
Awesome service and Great food! The Sea Bass was delicious
We were group of 11 with ages ranging from 5-86. Anthony was our server. He was awesome. He made everyone feel special no matter what there age or request. He was professional and entertaining. He made our evening special.
We had reservations and we still had to wait 25 minutes before we were sat. The hostess seemed totally lost. The wait service was pretty good. The food overall was pretty good, but the side salad was below average and the mahi-mahi was extremely salty. The salmon was tasty as was the calamari.
Food and waiter very good. No bartender so couldn’t get a cocktail
Service was great! We wanted outside but ended up inside. Table was great!
Enjoyed our meal. Anthony is a great waiter!
very slow service, server did not seem to care about visiting us or offering recommendations. food was very good but way small portions for price and not worth the wai.
Excellent food! Reservations recommended
Tourist prices but decent fare. Good desserts though. Reservations a must or be prepared for a long wait to be seated.
Food was amazing but I booked the reservation to sit outside on the riverwalk. Was a little disappointed the patio was closed.
The location is great. Food was good, but not impressive. Service was slow and not very attentive. Noted that the dinner was an anniversary celebration when making the reservation and there was no acknowledgement of it, nor any special treatment at all.
