Landry's Seafood House - San Antonio

Music upstairs was way too loud. We could not have a conversation
Excellent food and the waiter was fantastic
At first the service was slow (15 min being seated before our waiter first appeared), but she acknowledged the wait, apologized, and appeared to try to be extra attentive after that. The oysters were especially good, as were the desserts. For the entrees- I think we each loved our main dish (tuna, shrimp), but the sides were over fried / over cooked. So while it tried to be a good dining experience, it felt a bit neglected. It was a busy weekend night, so taking that into account we’re still rating highly.
Mike was our waiter and he was phenomenal !!!! We have eaten at several Landry’s all over the country and by far this was the best service and food!!!
Right on the Riverwalk. We choose to sit inside. There is a bar with a band on the third level (which was extremely loud) but we sat in the opposite area on the second level. Our waitress was so very pleasant.
Grateful for Open Table Reservations as we would have had a much longer wait had we not used it! Took a little long to get our appetizers and dinner, but drinks were flowing and our server Mia was on top of everything! Overall a great experience and the food was worth the wait! Will definitely visit again if in the area!
Poorly managed restaurant. Took 3 hours to get our food and still walked out without eating.
For $50/fish plate, the food was disgusting. I had to send my snapper back due to it being covered with blackened seasoning . It looked like it was breaded in old bay. The shrimp/crawfish topping was over cooked and the fish was also over cooked and dry. When I asked for a re-fire, our waitress rolled her eyes and refused to look at my plate. I ended up canceling the re-fire because I just wanted to get out of there. We get better food and service at Chart House ( tower of the americas) for basically the same price. For what this place charges, the food should be on point. It’s a shame that they would have the audacity to charge this much for long john silvers quality.
Over priced, slow service, food was okay but not spectacular.
Atmosphere was great, perfect view of the san Antonio river, and nice location
The band is always amazing and our server, Brandon, was PHENOMENAL. The food was a bit slow, but still delish.
I went to Landry’s Seafood House on a date and it was overall a great meal. The service was good and the wait time for the food was minimal. The shrimp enbrochette is a great choice for an appetizer. I ordered the reef and beef which is a lobster tail with a nice sized ribeye. The lobster tail was seasoned and tasteful as well as the ribeye. If you want to eat great seafood on the river walk I would highly suggest Landry’s Seafood House.
Very good service and food, we will definitely be back.
Visiting for vacation. The food and service was exceptional!
Omar was an amazing server who cared about us as if we were family!!!
Thoroughly enjoyed it and Will provided great service. Enjoyed meeting and talking with Bruno
Birthday dinner, everything was great but the server started out on a high note but dwindle after that. He was young, but has potential.
Our waitress was very nice and very attentive to our need to make a show. Great food!
Our waiter was extremely slow and inefficient. The appetizers took forever to come and so did our entrees. We waited a LONG time to get straws for our drinks, we waited a LONG time to get bread, for example. We only saw him working three tables, including ours, so we could not understand such lengthy waits/delays.
Call ahead to make sure they have the entree's they list in case they run out. With our party of 3 for a 7:15pm reservation, 2 of the 4 entree items our party requested were not available (seafood and pork chops). Also, they need to learn how to prepare a "Pittsburgh" style steak when requested.
The food was excellent and the atmosphere was great!
From the moment we walked into Landry's , I felt good. The table was perfect , with a view of the river. The drinks were spectacular, the appetizers where great, followed by the entrées, which where amazingly tasty and cooked to perfection. Finally came the desert, which topped everything in becoming one of the best ever father's day dinner I have ever had. The waiter was excellent in serving us, dinner at Landry's was perfect !!!
Excellent food and service!
Went to dinner with my husband who is deploying in 4 days (for a year). The food is expensive but so delicious! Server was attentive . He really pushed extras so much so that it was annoying. Live music was nice.
We like Landrys Seafood. This was the first visit to the San Antonio. We enjoyed the service and the food. We were a bit disappointed in the Raspberry Lemon Drop Martini and the Pomegranate drinks. Not sure if the bar tender was new but they were nothing like the ones we had in Galveston. I opted for a beer for my second drink..
Great place for business meals! Fine dinijgng great food and professional wait staff. Thank you for everything! See you next time.
Service was excellent, food was outstanding! Exceeded my expectations
Charbroiled oysters were very good. Seared scallops were small and a bit undercooked, but the vegetable orzo and spinach made it worthwhile!
Our server was attentive and personable. The food was fabulous.
I made a reservation for 10 online for 8:30 at 9:00 AM and I received a text around 4:30 PM telling me they would probably split us up into 2 tables since they had reservations made earlier in the week. I got an email confirming my reservation so I assumed someone with Landry’s knew what my confirmation meant. We had 4 people get mad they dropped out and went to Psppadeau’s...
It's always a pleasant experience to eat hear. The location to the river with the large glass windows is a special treat.
Why do I keep coming back? Because the food is always perfect. The wait staff very professional and knowledgeable. See you next time.
Best seafood in San Antonio and you get great service as well. Bruno and Ashley are great!
Felt like they were rushing us. Wanted to sit and enjoy ourselves and it felt like they wanted to turn the table even though they were not busy.
The reason I would not recommend Landry's is there's so many better places on the Riverwalk. We choose Landry's because we were looking for Seafood and it was always a good place to dine. The waiter was slow and always tried to sell up on everything we ordered. I took his recommendation for Mahi and wished I didn't as I had the smallest portion of food than anyone else in our party of seven. It was also just so so.
Our server was excellent! He was entertaining, attentive, and timely. The food and ambiance was superb! I am a Landry’s fan from now on.
They apparently forgot part of our order and brought 1 plate out 10 minutes before the others They did replace the cold food but one person ordered fried shrimp and they were over cooked. Manager came over and said they were sorry but offered nothing to us. Our waiter, Tyler, was good and I thought he handled it better than the manager.
This is one of our favorite places to fine. Food and service are always great.
A minimum level of quality is expected at a chain restaurant and unfortunately this location did not achieve that. It took 30 minutes for our appetizer to show up and another 45 for the food for a table of 5 which included 2 kid meals. Once the food arrived most was cold and subpar. There was not recognition or apologies for the poor service and took another 30 minutes to pay the check. All of this is unacceptable on a moderately busy evening.
Disappointed!! Asked the waiter for no tomatoes and onions....they had to take main dish back due to tomatoes...but still didn't fix onions.
