   Possibly the worst gumbo I have ever had. Bad chicken. Bad sausage. The roux was horrible. No okra or any vegetables. Never going back.

   Food was very good a little crowded so service was a little bit slow. Sadly, our salad came out Same time as our meals not sure whose fault that was. Noise level was a little high. We love Landrys . It’s consistently good. It can be a little noisy and a little slow tho

   Made a reservation at Landry’s for an anniversary meal. Staff did not use reservation system so were unaware of the occasion. Seated next to an extremely loud table and had to be reseated. We requested a gluten free menu and it took a long time to arrive. Finally ordered but it took a long time again to get salads. Main course came out and was good. Check was incorrect initially and had to be corrected. Of all the 48 anniversary dinners, this one rated last.

   Not sure why I made a reservation. Upon arrival we were greeted with “I’ve marked that you’re here and we’ll seat you when we can. All the walk-ins were seated ahead of us. In my reservation I also indicated that it was my wife’s birthday, and that she preferred dairy and gluten free options. None of this was conveyed to our server. I also asked for a table by the windows (which I later learned are always given to reservations) so I guess we got that as the result of my reservation and not my specific request. My wife’s salmon was bland, so they brought some Old Bay seasoning from the kitchen to jazz it up. My gumbo was excellent, but I wasn’t the guest of honor. When the check arrived it included an extra glass of wine that we didn’t have, and we later learned that the floor manager had intended to comp our dessert, but that wasn’t reflected on the bill either. Both were ultimately fixed, but added to the disappointment. And after all of this, NO ONE ever told my wife Happy Birthday ☹️ Next time we’re in Kemah we’ll try one of the local dives rather than Landry’s

   My wife and I and our son and daughter-in-law enjoyed a very nice evening. We had the CRAB, SPINACH + ARTICHOKE DIP dip for an appetizer which was delish. My wife and I split the Snapper Hemingway and each had the Wedge salads. My son had the redfish and daughter-in-law had the shrimp brochette. We were all very pleased with the food. Our server Ashley, was VERY attentive and kept refilling our bread and waters nonstop. We were celebrating my wife's birthday an we were very happy that we chose Landry's!
