The hostess would not seat us right away even when I told her we had reservations and that I was a Select Club member. Your restaurant is noisy and one party had two children next to us who ran round and round their table, screaming with laughter and you did nothing about it. I would not recommend this location of Landry's.
We go to landrys on I-10 quite often, and typically we love the experience. This time was not great. The service was poor. The food was over cooked or at least had been sitting under a heat lamp for too long. I ordered the seafood pasta dish and I got one scallop that was cut in half. The sauce had dried out on the pasta too. The cooks apparently burned the appetizer so it took forever to come out, but thankfully they took it off the bill. We never got any French bread which is given at the very start. Overall, we left very disappointed. Tillman would have been sad to see his flagship restaurant this way. It’s a wonderful restaurant in katy, but it needs some improvement.
Food was awful! Don't know if it's because the freeze had just ended or what but it was not like the times before...
It’s been a while since we dined at Landry’s , our server was very nice and friendly. Enjoyed the seafood, gumbo is as good as we remembered.
I took my wife to Landry’s for our Valentines Day dinner. It was wonderful! Food was fantastic, service was great.
Despite the food there is a little more expensive we like go there for special occasions.
Food was excellent our waiter (Todd) was awesome!
Valentine’s
Was good like always
Reservations were made for 8pm but they were not able to seat us until almost 8:40pm. My wife ordered stuffed flounder and it was extremely fishy tasting to where she couldn’t even eat it. I ordered the “special” surf and turf, which was okay.. lobster tail was extremely salty, but at least tasted somewhat fresh, and the steak was very bland but cooked okay. Definitely was not worth the $60+ price tag. I could have ordered 10x better from the red lobster down the street.
We’re pretty easy going and I’ve never reviewed anything before, but this was worth pointing out. Not worth it at all. Will probably never go back.
Very nice dinner at Landry’s. Good redfish, snapper, shrimp cocktail. Good job by the waiter.
The service was a little slow, the food was consistent with other Landry’s properties. The waitstaff didn’t seem to be in a hurry to clean tables even though only half the tables were available (as per guidelines).
I have visited many Landry's but this was by far the worst experience ever. From the hour wait even with reservations, to the horrible horrible drinks, to the hostess seating us right in front of the door when I asked if we would feel the wind everytime the door opened and she said no guess what she lied. The only thing good about this place was the food.
Having celebrated many occasions at different Landry locations including this one many times, we were disappointed in the food and service. The Katy location has always been our go to place. However, last Friday evening changed my opinion. The food was sub par and the service fair.
We made reservations for 6 at 7pm. We get seated at 7:15 which was fine with everything going on. This is our first time coming here and really love seafood and was excited to try something new. We ordered our food, starters and drinks by 7:30. By 7:50 we get our starters and by 8pm we get out drinks. By 8:55 our food comes out and not even hot and the Chilean Sea Bass wasn't even cooked, the Red Snapper was over cooked the seafood platter was not hot either. The only thing we had that was decent was the Calamari and drinks. Come to find out they were severely under staff and they apparently are like that every Saturday to the point where the manager has to be in the back to cook the food and deal with customers which explains why it took so long to get food and why the waiters and waitresses were able to stand around for long periods of time. This was not the experience we'd hoped for and would've loved a different one. Maybe when they get staffed properly we can have a do over. My heart truly goes out to the staff and that manager because with a company this magnitude they should not function like this every weekend as the staff says.
This service was fast, courteous, and friendly. We have already made reservations for our next visit.
Took 15 minutes for someone to offer water and acknowledge we were even there after we were seated. We didn’t get the water until 20 minutes later and they had to be reminded. They were out of the appetizer I ordered, then what ordered instead was over fried. They were out of the drink I order, then they were out of the topping for the entree I ordered. I understand, we came late. My husband works weird hours and this was our only available time together and we wanted to spend it with a nice dinner for our anniversary. We reserved for 9pm which I thought would be better than directly before close. I guess if I’m going to be inconvenienced in such a way they could have offered something more than a verbal apology for the inconvenience. We got nothing other than a “sorry for the inconvenience, have a nice night”. No compensated appetizer, drink, nothing but I paid full price for the stuff they were out of and a ruined anniversary dinner. I probably won’t return.
Service was horrible. Appetizer delayed twice, waiter seemed confused. Food was subpar. Ordered blackened snapper with pontchartrain sauce. Tasted like tilapia with cream of mushroom sauce.
Setting a reservation was easy enough. Service was kinda poor. Took some time after being seated before anyone showed up, even then we only say her a small handful of times. Drinks got refilled once. We said from the beginning we were going to want a creme brûlée and after it came time to get it, we reminded the server of it and we were told it’ll be done in a few minutes. Those few minutes later, we were told they were out... we sat down on a Friday at 6pm. How can you be out?? And it wasn’t busy at all. For the price, it wasn’t a great value. Granted it was a fried platter, it all kinda tasted the same. Aaaand to top it off, we were still charged for the dessert and didn’t get any. Bill was fixed but you’re not pulling a smooth on me. Maybe a one off bad visit but that was your chance Landry’s. I’d rather go to Pappadeaux’s or Babin’s.
Food was great. Loved the calamari. Short on waitress staff.not sure if it was social distancing but overall we will be back
A group of us went to Landry's in Katy to celebrate New Year's Eve because our original plans fell through. While the restaurant was busy, it wasn't crowded so there is no reason for the issues we had.
The first issue we had was with the waiter Todd. He wasn't friendly, he totally acted like he didn't want to be there, he wasn't tentative. We had to ask another waiter to find him. He forgot our appetizer, never came by to see how the food was. He's service or lack thereof was highly disappointing.
All the food that was brought out, was cold, lacked flavor, and was very disappointing besides the filet I had. While mine was cold and lacked flavor, it was very tender to the point where I used a regular dinner knife to cut it.
The fried calamari was cold and tasted bad. We didn't eat it and yet when Todd came by he never asked if anything was wrong with the dish considering how little we ate of it.
The salads that were brought out, could barely be called a salad. When some of our friends said they didn't want a salad, you could tell that annoyed him...which is odd.
Overall for our first time going here, it was very disappointing and we won't be back.
The only good thing was the drinks from the bar were good.
Came in from out of State been several years since we dined at Landry’s, Food was very disappointing. Bland, fillers and cold. Service great.
Our 3 course Holiday Dinner was excellent. Would highly recommend.
Great experience! Miss Victoria was a great server & took excellent care of us.
I thought the price of meals was more than the quality.
Excellent food for lunch as always. Please was not crowded at all. Very easy to have a conversation.
The service was pretty terrible. Greet and drinks were late. 1 drink was spilled on a guest of mine. GM and staff seemed unapologetic. Server was new but no helped her. 1 entree was delivered cold and the gumbo tasted scorched. GM offered desserts but we declined.
Our waitress was great. Great attitude and patient with my father in law who talks to much.
Service was outstanding. Turkey could have been a little more moist. Mashed potatoes were good. Can't comment on the stuffing or green beans since I've never liked them anyway.
We were treated to an amazing Thanksgiving meal at a more than fair price! We had our son in from Mississippi. He wanted a hamburger and we enjoyed a traditional turkey meal! Desserts were excellent as well!
We always enjoy our meals at Landry's Seafood House.
Enjoyed the food. Service was good. Bath rooms old and outdated. Not the cleanest.
Entrees were great. The banana's foster was not freshly made and showed. Crepe was not completely done and bananas were cold
Salmon was excellent, waitress was attentive. WIll return
Great dining experience. Very nice atmosphere. Two thumbs up!!
Food and ambience were excellent! My husband and I decided to have an impromptu dinner and we craved seafood that night. Landry's did not disappoint.
Great food, excellent service. Waiter deserves a raise. Very enjoyable time.
Was not bad but not impressed.
Would not go back.
Not even in the same ballpark as the grotto...
I have visited this restaurant for years and this visit the food and service was outstanding as always, however, the Astros game had a lot of very loud patrons which made it extremely difficult to hear or have a conversation. I just picked the wrong night to dine out.
Fabulous staff. Very attentive. Food was great, well prepared.
