Food was very bland and lacked flavor. Get rid of that potato salad. It was awful. Dessert was the best part of the meal. Service was good but for what we paid, we could have gone to a number of other places and had as good, if not a better barbecue experience.
Excellent service. Our server was Very knowledgeable & attentive The food was wonderful. Definitely try the WildBoar Ribs, the Fried Green Tomatoes and a Boss cocktail. You won’t regret it!
We had an amazing time at Lambert's. Highly recommend.
Try and sit outside if you can, it's so nice out there.
One of the more underrated spots for good food and atmosphere.
Outstanding BBQ in downtown Austin. Great service and atmosphere. Thank you for being open.
I had the rainbow trout and it was cooked perfectly and very delicious.
Everything else was just “good”. Glad I went once, but it wasn’t memorable enough for me to good back.
The service was great. We enjoyed the appetizers (queso & ribs). I ordered the 2 meat plate & the brisket had very little meat, almost all fat. The chicken was flavorful. The potato salad was not good, just boiled potatoes with something white on them, not mayo & had no seasoning or taste. My son really enjoyed the mac & cheese. My husband also enjoyed the pork & sausage, very flavorful. I would try it again, ordering different sides.
As always, a fantastic dining experience. Superb food, exceptional service, and lovely atmosphere.
Safe, clean and hospitable. Tasty food and casual atmosphere. Kind and attentive service.
I had the brisket because I wanted to try southern brisket since I’m from Chicago and it’s wasn’t that bad. I feel like it could’ve been a little better but it was still good. The appetizer I had were the ribs: spicy but tasty!
We enjoyed Lambert’s and will go again. The outside is a little sparse so looking forward to eating inside and enjoying the restaurant. The wait staff was very efficient and friendly. The food was very good too.
Excellent bbq in the heart of downtown Austin.
We were celebrating a birthday and had a great experience. The food was amazing along with the service. I recommend trying the ribeye, Fried okra and the mac & cheese.
Lamb ribs are fantastic, hanger steak with avocado was huge. We got a couple sides and it was all great
What an amazing meal. Still one of the classics. We felt safe and cared for at all times.
The brunch food offerings include their version of Frito pie that has a unique flavor blend that results in one craving it later. Love the unique cocktail options as well . Service was fast and just attentive enough.
The food was punch you in the face delicious! So glad my wife and I ate there for my bday celebration. It was a memorable experience amidst the strangeness of what’s going on with the pandemic in the world. I’d recommend them to others looking for a great meal and good service!
Everything was amazing, from the artichoke dip and crispy pork ribs, to the hangar steak and the brisket! We will be back and SOON!! Also great safety protocol in place!
Great food and ambience - stellar service! Every member of the Lambert’s team was friendly, attentive and respectful of the new health and safety guidelines. We felt very comfortable and welcome.
Excellent food, quality ingredients. Employees adhered, wore masks and gloves
We were nervous about going out to dinner during the re-opening days of the pandemic. We were very happy to see everyone in the restaurant following strict guidelines to keep everyone safe in a way that was very comfortable and joyful. The food was delicious and everyone was truly kind to us. We can’t wait to return.
Overpriced and not really a BBQ place. It’s a fancy restaurant. That’s it.
Great atmosphere with knowledgeable waitstaff, amazing food, and a lengthy drink list. A bit pricy - with drinks and an appetizer, our dinner for two was just shy of $200 - but worth every penny.
Outstanding waitstaff with great recommendations. Wonderful atmosphere. Incredible food. Every single item we ordered was amazing. Will absolutely go again.
The staff was amazingly accommodating and the food was excellent!
I was vacationing in Austin as things with the pandemic were getting worse. The wait staff at the restaurant couldn't have been more lovely. They seemed genuinely happy to be there and waiting on customers. I get that that's their job but still, nice to see. As for the food....delicious! My friend and I both had the bbq pork ribs. The meat was tender and delicious. It came with several sauces and we chose the house sauce. Tangy without being too spicy. We also had a side order of broccoli, which we asked to have without jalapeños. Really good. Will happily return if ever in Austin again.
The food was excellent. Brisket and ribeye were perfectly prepared. The potato salad was one of the best I have had and the crab cake salad was fantastic. The environment is really cool with the exposed brick and the upstairs bar. We will be back
Great relaxed restaurant. Nice selection of BBQ and fabulous service.
Brisket was delicious!
Pulled pork with BBQ sauce was very good. The size of a beef "short rib" was humongous. Thanks
Meat was okay, but $40 for a brunch buffet with such a variety of food was a great deal!
Excellent food, service, and beer!
We very visiting Austin on business and this will go down as one of our most memorable dinners ever. The ambience of this old general store was quite nice, though a bit loud for our tastes. Wait staff was incredibly attentive to our needs and knowledgeable about how the food was prepared. The food came out quickly and boy, was it incredible! The deviled eggs were exquisite, the fried green tomatoes tasty (especially when topped with the lump crab), but the highlight of the night was the Wild Boar Ribs—crunchy and delectable with just the right amount of heat!!! Coconut cream pie for desert was light and creamy; the perfect topper to our evening. If we return to Austin, you can be sure we’ll eat at Lambert’s again!
Lambert's was recommended as a great place to experience barbeque, Texas style. We were not disappointed! Service, food and prices were all good. My husband had brisket for dinner, and I had an appetizer of wild boar ribs plus a salad that for me was enough for my full meal. The flavors were wonderful.
Live music was amazing.
Great bbq experience
Highly recommend the short rib for melt off the bone deliciousness. Love Lambert's and will return every time I come back to Austin.
The bbq was upscale but great tasting. The drinks were also fantastic!
Lamert's never disappoints and a great option to show out-of-townwers that Austin also does 'fancy BBQ' expertly.
