Fantastic Place: My work colleagues and I had a layover in Austin. Knowing very little about Austin, we used OpenTable to find Lancaster’s. It was fantastic! The food was the most notable. I did the deviled eggs with a top of caviar and beef brisket salad. Service was prompt, professional and polite. We had arrived early, but the manager shuffled a few things to get us to a table anyway. My only reason for not 5-stars all around is that noise level is moderately difficult to have conversation except for person next to you. The restaurant is in an old historic building with brick walls - not to be helped, but FYI if trying to conduct business. I’ll definitely be back!
The food was terrific. The staff was friendly, attentive and efficient. Overall, my wife and I had a fantastic time together, with a great meal! We will certainly be returning from San Diego!

“Fancy BBQ” was how it was described and agree. Smoked chicken salad was delish.
Very good (not great) BBQ at a premium price due to location. Tries very hard to be upscale BBQ. Great staff and good cocktails. It's a nice night if you go in with the mindset of being ok paying double the amount for BBQ for a more "date night/cocktails" type vibe than your standard BBQ joint.
Asked of me: “Of the three, brisket, ribs, chicken, which did you like best?”
The chicken was really really good. But the brisket and ribs tie for first place. Yes, the brisket is that good!
Oh, and the mac n’ cheese? OMG!

This is likely a fun spot for work dinners or locals who want a new spin on bbq.
For the price, the food failed to meet expectations. The steak cooked perfectly; but almost cold when it arrived.
For how cool of a city Austin is, there were many better meals than the one we had at Lambert’s.
Unfortunately just middle of the road.
We ate here once before and most food ordered was okay-good with a thing or two being disappointing. This time almost all the food was poor, meaning on the cold side, not as flavorful, tough and not tender, etc. Definitely not worth the high price, or even a low price for that matter. Service was good though. This place is definitely going off the list. Very disappointed.
I had heard the Lambert's was very good. I thought the Brisket was good but overpriced and over-spiced. Austin has some great BBQ places, so you might like it.
A $20 brunch with a $40 price tag. Drinks are not included- for $40, I'd expect at least coffee to be.
All and all good- bbq short rib was amazing

My clothes smelled of smoke after dining.
The happy hour is only offered at the bar with only few seats available.
Server did not tell us the sides were large so we ended up ordering more than a couple and ended up with a lot of food.
Expected at least happy hour drinks to be offered at tables.
Brisket was cold.
Even though the food was tasty the price was too high.

A must when you visit Austin! The atmosphere was energetic but relaxed and the food was amazing (some of the best brisket in the city).
Quite tasty in most forms (too full to try dessert). The wild boar ribs were unique and spicy; quite flavorful. Iceberg salad was fresh. The queso was a disappointment arriving at luke-warm temperatures. The beef brisket was naturally flavored although over the top with some homemade BBQ sauce. Pork ribs were also up there however less spicy. The mac and cheese was super dense (just the way I like it). Sweet/street corn was not your usual take however I really liked the unique favor. Another disappointment was the hot link which had little flavor; as much as I hate to say it, I'd almost have taken a breakfast sausage over that. Drinks were also numerous and well-made with all you'd expect readily available.
Note that there is an upstairs with live music which makes conversation impossible. Reservations are practically required if you don't want to wait 2 hours.
BBQ was delicious. Sides were a little disappointing.
Waited over 20 minutes for our drink order to arrive, well after receiving our appetizer. BBQ ribs were dry and brisket was so so. Mac n cheese was good. Not the experience we expected and way over priced

Food and service were both superb and the BBQ aroma when you walk in is to die for. There was a little draft where we were seated in the back, as the staff was coming and going through the back door a lot.
All in all a very memorable and wonderful evening.
We reserved for 1:15 pm. The place was quiet! Friendly, helpful waitress delivered our ordered food promptly (between visits to the buffer). She made a bday cake with candle out of a piece of delicious French toast. It was an occasion birthday and we were very pleased.
Waiter hard selling expensive menu items was really annoying. Drink service slow. Questioned us when we wanted to send back an under cooked dish.
Everything is delicious! One of the best meals I've ever eaten. Had a 5pm reservation, so I sat at the bar for happy hour pricing. It was a steal for the quality of food and service. Highlights include the wild boar ribs, he brisket, and the decadent mac & cheese. I liked the smaller portions because it meant I could try more things! Excellent cocktails too. Highly highly recommend for quality BBQ in a more upscale setting.
A more upscale barbecue experience than many others in Austin, and at a more upscale price. Brisket was great. So were the pork ribs. The house oak aged Old Fashioned was outstanding and is worth a visit alone. Service was outstanding. It's nice having great barbecue in a table service setting for a change.

Love Lamberts! First time for lunch. The Chicken Fried Oysters rocked and the Beef Brisket was brilliant as usual!
Disappointed this trip to Lambert’s. Their wild boar short ribs were fantastic but everything thing else was sub-par. The brisket was flavorful but served Luke warm to cold, the ribeye was okay but not worth $47, it was too fatty and chewy, not melt in your mouth tender like the waiter described and the brussel sprouts were not cooked nearly enough.
Great restaurant with great service. We had twelve people and never had wait for a drink. Food was outstanding.
Enjoyed the brunch buffet on a Sunday. The spread was diverse and everything tasted great. It was also cool that they had a long list of small plates also included as part of the brunch. Highly recommend.
