Lamberts Downtown Barbecue, localizado en la calle 2ª, en el distrito del centro de Austin, ofrece modernos clásicos tejanos en un edificio histórico restaurado. El establecimiento Lamberts hace énfasis en ingredientes frescos locales, carnes naturales, productos frescos y mariscos. Además, es el inventor del "Fancy Barbecue." La tienda Schneider, que ha sido restaurada y que está localizada en la esquina de Guadalupe y la calle 2ª, cuenta con cocina abierta y salón comedor en la 1ª planta, con asientos en el patio al aire libre. El bar de la planta alta y el salón ofrecen música en vivo casi todas las noches y tienen capacidad para grupos grandes y eventos privados. Desde su apertura en 2006, el establecimiento Lamberts ha aparecido en Food & Wine, The New York Times y Conde Nast Traveler, y ha sido elegido como el 4º mejor restaurante nuevo de Texas por la revista Texas Monthly.

Loved the brisket...but if you like it lean you need to request. Queso was so yummy!! Will be back for that. Nice time. Our entire family said we will be returning soon. Luke, our server, was great!

Lamberts was awesome! Me and my wife are constantly trying out new places to eat and this place did not disappoint! If you enjoy a BBQ and trying to get out of the Austin Sun, go during lunch and enjoy the nice warm hand towels after!

Tldr; WOW 10/10. Passed "the water test" with flying colors. Food was phenomenal in both flavor and cook. Service was top notch even though it's a more casual type restaurant. Ambiance: Love what this place has going on, not too bright, not too dark, just right. Feels like you're eating at their home because you can tell how much pride they take in this place. Service: 11/10. Our seating preferences were honored without us even having to bring it up at the hostess stand. Seated right away, and quickly got water and these delicious mini cornbread muffins with whipped butter. Then the manager came out to say hello and brought out a complimentary appetizer that my wife was already talking about getting. They passed "the water test" with flying colors. Never wanting for water. Ava, our server, gave us great recommendations and was very attentive and treated us very well. Everyone from the manager, hostess, server, bussers, expo, were all super professional and on it. They must do a lot of training and you can tell pretty quickly this place is well managed. Food: - Queso w/ burnt ends: DELICIOUS. Homemade chips and what we think was homemade flour tortillas. - Brisket: HOLY that was some amazing brisket. Not too fatty but also not dry at all. Cooked & seasoned to perfection - Hanger Steak: cooked & seasoned to perfection. The salsa verde and chili relleno just take this dish over the top. - Broccoli & Baked Potato sides: perfect sides for our shared entrees. The baked potato is really more of a mashed/whipped potato and it is delicious - Texas Gold Cake: we were SO full from our dinner but had to give this a try and we were so glad we did. Perfect treat to end a phenomenal dinner. Summary: Would definitely go back. These folks are Pros, in a restaurant world of gimmicky mediocre food & service. They show us how great restaurants really can be when ran properly. Kudos to everyone. Amazing!

Everything was great, but pretty pricey for 8oz of meat. The hostess kept us downstairs instead of up where the music is loud

The service and food was as amazing as usual. My only complaint was that it was SO dark, everyone had to read the menu using the flashlight on their phones!

The food and ambience was great. The service was literally the worst I’ve ever had. UPDATE: The manager Rich called me and apologized. He told me that it is their intention to “provide an elevated bbq experience”. He refunded us our entire meal. It’s not about failing it’s about how you react. That is classy and I’ll give them another chance next time I’m in town.
