Spinach and mushroom canolini was amazing!
Do not enjoy, bad service, food was nothing special.
Good meal, great service and a beautiful restaurant.
Great restaurant on the Skytop Lodge property. Food was delicious and the kitchen went out of their way to accommodate a gluten allergy! Amazing!
We are local and went for Christmas dinner. We were seated right away and our server was attentive and professional. The food and wine were delicious and my steak was cooked perfectly. We missed the lake view as it was evening in winter but I’m looking forward to returning soon.
Felt like a stuffy Country Club. Outdated decor and music. Limited menu. Angel Hair pasta dish came out looking like porridge, too much garlic...sent back. Average Pork Cutlet.....decent Wild Mushroom Risotto. Salad appetizers were good.
Unlike everyone employee at Skytop Lodge, our server was completely unable to engage...spoke at a level that was barely audible. No manager came to the table after one entree was sent back. Our hostess was very friendly.
If you're staying at Skytop....stick with the Windsor and/or Taproom restaurants.
The food selections are good and include vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. Entrees are filling and delicious. Arugula with blood orange and fennel was fantastic!
Been to this restaurant several times in the past - the food is historically hit or miss, and this night it was a miss. My entree was a pork dish, and it clearly came to the restaurant ( in one of the big US Foods or Pocono Foods trucks I see regularly making deliveries) frozen and ready to be popped in the deep fryer, then popped on my plate. I think about half or more the dozen entrees I’ve eaten in the last couple years here were not prepared fresh in the kitchen.
Now I know using pre-prepped food is ubiquitous in the restaurant industry but it should banned on entrees with tax and tip that approach $50.00. I might fall off the wagon in the future, but as of now I take the pledge never to return.
Much of the non-kitchen staff are work visa holders from various generally poor Caribbean and Eastern European countries, and they, like the local area sourced employees, are pleasant, engaging and responsive almost always. They are generally not fantastic but they are not a problem.
My current thought is to blame this poor food value on either (1) the cost accounting department, which is trying to drive cost of food to less than 10% of the check, or (2) the Human Resources department, who won’t or can’t hire enough chefs.
Great place great food but the decor and CARPET IS OUT DATED. Server Anthony and Criag were funny and on point.
While we didn't expect much from a food establishment in the Poconos, the food at Lakeview was subpar. This is a skip.
Great service. Good food. Dessert a catastrophe! But I would come there a again:)
The food was inedible and the total bill for 2 people was 130+. Calamari was over done, bread was stale, entree choices were limited and what was ordered was burned, dry, and flavorless. This restaurant needs to be 100% revamped.
I ordered chicken thighs (on the menu). Definitely got chicken tenders, not thighs. Dried out and hard. Menu was very unappealing . Difficult to find things to choose. Service was spotty--at first it was excellent--then we had to wait--and wait--and wait for water, food, check. Dessert was tasteless. On the plus side--Beautiful setting.
Overall the experience was a 5 out of 10. I ordered the King Crab appetizer which was tastless. The pro cutlet was dry .
SkyTop was amazing!
Our waitress Charisse wasn’t so lovely!! We did have a mussel dish that wasn’t the greatest smelling or tasting however the overall experience was delightful. Lovely staff great ambiance!
An absolutely fantastic dining experience!
As an appetizer, we enjoyed a Hummus Trio that was slightly modified to accommodate one of my dining companion’s vegan requirement. Thank you to the incredibly kind manager, chef and servers in ensuring my vegan friend so thoroughly enjoyed her meal. Your patience was truly appreciated.
So many great options on the menu, my table shared two more vegan selections from the menu, along with the breaded pork cutlet with wild mushrooms, and finally, a ravioli dish made with fresh pasta, ricotta, mozzarella, spinach and beef ragu.
Highest accolades to the chef and staff at Lakeview, each and every bite demonstrated their great care and professionalism. Thank you again for a delightful evening!
Excellent!! Food, atmosphere, staff, everything was wonderful! We really appreciated the complimentary cheese board presented to us in honor of the Birthday we were celebrating! Thank you!!
We had a very good server and the view is lovely. However, neither Greek salad nor my salmon dishes had ingredients that complemented one another. My husband’s raviolis were a bit too al dente although the sauce was tasty.
Food was not great.
Very empty....3 other diners in a huge place. The food was ok.....the service was good but nothing special...the bug problem was...we wasn't guest of the hotel we was staying at another resort 20 minutes away, we uber there but once we tried to go home.....no uber or Lyft in the area, we was basically stranded out there for an hour and the people there at the resort was short and rude with us. The hospitality went out the window once they got our money for the food that wasn't worth the price. Somehow after being stranded in the lobby an uber finally was in the area and that nightmare was over.
Food was delicious, the views and ambiance were wonderful and our server Petra was awesome!
Service and good were excellent. It’s a little hard to find if you are not a guest at the lodge. The resort is so expansive it’s a drive through the property. But I would recommend it and would go back again.
It's expensive, but it's a resort so that's expected. The food was really good.
Only people in the lace - kind of spooky on a wet foggy night
