Great food and definitely great drinks!!! The view is amazing!
The food and drinks were amazing. He staff were all super friendly and welcoming.
Great place!! Amazing food and drinks, beautiful inside and outside. Dessert could be better.
My husband and I celebrated our 26th anniversary here. We enjoyed the oysters, steak tartar, lamb, scallops, and the very fun cotton candy Baked Alaska. Our servers were fabulous and the restaurant did a great job of keeping patrons safe with QR menus, face masks and gloves, and distancing in tables. The views are breathtaking and we were happy to celebrate our anniversary in this beautiful space.
Beautiful atmosphere and great service
This might just be my favorite restaurant for a night out. The Greek Meatball special was amazing (and they were served over truffled polenta!)! As was the Cotton Candy Chocolate Cake, the Lobster Fra Diavolo, Seafood Misto appetizer, and Watermelon Salad. I will definitely be coming back here. The atmosphere is really nice too...great decorations and great views.
The ambiance and service was great. Drinks were nice and strong. My only complaint is the menu is very limited. I ordered the seafood risotto, unfortunately it was not my favorite I had to send it back. Overall I had a few drinks, a nice server, and a good time. I would come back for happy hour but skip over dinner.
Service and view was superb, Food and drinks were great. We will definitely be back!
Nice environment and good food. It was a good combination for a Sunday brunch.
This was the best food I’ve had in a long time, not to mention the place is beautiful and we had an insane view of the fireworks on the patio. The service was also amazing. Would absolutely eat there again and recommend for a date night or special occasion. I might leave my husband and ask the chef to marry me lol. Order the baked Alaska and Rose Sangria, you won’t be disappointed.
La Vie was the perfect spot for a night to celebrate July 4th. The outdoor patio has a great view of the fireworks from the National Mall, and it was easy to see from our table. Our server went above and beyond to make sure we were well-taken care of, and she even took photos of us with the fireworks in the background. Will be back again soon!
LaVie is on of my favorite restaurants. Always clean. Food, drinks and customer service is always excellent.
This is our FAVORITE place to go in DC. High end, but reasonable pricing, and phenomenal food. True authentic Mediterranean dishes with incredible flavor, we absolutely love everything we’ve had there. The ambiance is beautiful, with scenic views of the water and streets below. You are missing out, if you’ve never experienced La Vie!
La Vie did a great job with Social Distancing and mask wearing! Food and service were exceptional!
Best restaurant in DC! Incredible service and unbelievably good food.
First time ever dining at La Vie absolutely amazing. The food was fresh and full of flavor. Ambiance impeccable beautiful and romantic. Drinks you can’t just have one. I would recommend La Vie to anyone who wants the whole package dining experience.
My BFF and I had such an amazing time at La Vie. We were thrilled with the atmoshere and the food. The Calamari was a bit salty when we first ordered however, it was delicious after we sent it back and got another batch. Thank you for having the tables separated so we felt safe as we are still dealing with Covid-19. I would definitely refer LaVie to others.
We had a good time thank you.
A+ for social distancing, service, food, decor, view and drinks
Absolutely, love love love this place. The service was professional, very clean and upscale swanky, everyone wore mask, the menu was digital to your phone. I took my boyfriend for this birthday and he'd loved it. The outdoor dining and view was just amazing.
The food and service at La Vie were outstanding! Although the price was above what I would typically spend unless on special occasions.
The food was great and in an awesome location. The servers were very attentive and friendly.
I really enjoyed the food and I loved the decor. I totally recommend this place.
To celebrate my 27th birthday, I decided to dine at La Vie for dinner because I had never gone there before and because of the spectacular views of the Potomac. The ambience, the decor, the customer service, the view, and most importantly, the food/drinks, all exceeded my expectations! For dinner, I went with the Atlantic Salmon, a side of Brussel sprouts, and a glass of Prosecco... one word, amazing! The food was cooked to perfection and the Prosecco was chilled to my liking. In celebration of my birthday, my server and the managers sung "Happy Birthday," gave me a complimentary glass of Prosecco, a chocolate cake, a chocolate bar, and a birthday card -- all unexpected but it helped to make my birthday the perfect day that it was! I will definitely be returning to La Vie, especially during the Spring/Summer months to soak in the sun and enjoy the views of the Potomac from La Vie's rooftop patio area!
It is a very nice restautrant with great food. The view on the warf is incredible! I just wish there was some pleasant music on a Tuesday night and not so much noise. The seafood we ordered was delicious.
Birthday, not as beautiful as I thought. Very expensive!! Service is perfect. Have a nice view!! Food was good but small for the price!! We were 2 and we spent $139 ( without the tips). I had a drink, but my sister only got water!! I ordered a steak frites.
We celebrate three birthdays. The staff was very accommodating and attentive. The views are amazing!
Amazing ambience and great service. Food was a bit spicy but delicious and presentation was very impressive as was the manager and the service. Very attentive, professional, courteous staff. They provided an excellent customer experience!
Excellent menu & service made for a wonderful evening!
Came here with family. Good kids menu. Beautiful views. Beef tartar was too seasoned and you couldn’t tell it was beef. Snow crab risotto was good, but crab was lost in the seafood flavor (seafood in the rice). Mussels w French style were very good. Overall very nice but not excellent for foodies.
Can’t wait to go back, excellent food and service!
I chose La Vie for dinner on my Birthday. The evening was AMAZING! The service, ambience, food and the view were exceptional. I will be back. And I'll be sure to tell everyone I know about La Vie😉
Really great time and ambience. Our family had amazing service and by the way the food was excellent!
Food and service was great. Ambiance was spectacular. Will definitely be going back
Delicious food. Beautiful presentation. Fantastic view. Nice energy and comfortable vibe. And our server, Andres, was terrific.
First the positives: it is a lovely space with a great view (if you are by a window). The service was excellent and the mixed cocktails were very good. Our appetizer of Frito misto was very good and while the arancini were good, I've never seen such small ones. One of us a the $27 hamburger which was only average; the French fries served with two of our dishes were too salty as were the grilled scallops. The steak frites was OK (given the salty fries) but the duck confit was a great mistake. While the duck leg (a very small duck leg) was crispy it, too was too salty. The melange of noodles and a strange assortment of vegetables did nothing to enhance the duck and wasn't, in itself, very good. It is highly unlikely we will return.
Went to La Vie for the first time and it was a very nice experience. Food, view and service ( thank you Juan Carlos) were great.
Had a wonderful experience at La Vie. Was in town for the weekend and wanted a great place for brunch and La Vie was highly recommended. Located on the water, the space is bright, open and beautiful. We had an early brunch so it wasn't crowded and our waiter Juan Carlos was super friendly and attentive. The buffet was fantastic and had a nice variety of sweet and savory dishes so come hungry so you can taste a little of everything. Brunch is $44 without drinks, which is on the pricier side so if you don't plan on eating much, then the value isn't there. The bottomless bellini's were great and packed a punch. Don't leave without taking a cute selfie for the gram in the ladies room. Looking forward to my next visit
We really enjoyed our time. Our table had a great view of the Wharf. Had the scallops and they were delicious. We were celebrating a birthday and they brought out a special desert with a sparkler. Great place for a date would come again.
A wonderful experience. Great view, delicious view, friendly and helpful service from both our server Mitch and the manager. A lovely place!
