Incredible food and great staff. Have time to dine. We were there 3 hours.
The food and service was amazing! Unfortunately it took about an hour before our food showed up, but it was worth the wait.
Excellent fine dining restaurant with exceptional service, ambiance and food food. Menu selection is unequalled by any other place in Salt Lake. For authentic Italian cuisine it can't be beat with even a trip to Italy.
The food is excellent. We had 3 different dishes plus desserts-all were great. The service is very good-just know this place is not into speed dining. It is a slower pace as we were there 3 hours start to finish. It is definitely on the upscale side as far as feel, presentation and decor. This is not some mom and pop red checkered vinyl tablecloth kind of place. The owner/manager was working the room and very friendly and seemed genuinely interested if the patrons were enjoying the meal/experience.
Outstanding fine dining experience, what an experience
You can tell that every employee truly takes pride in what they do. They really want to take good care of you. You pay for it, but it's an experience to dine here that I hope many to have the opportunity to enjoy.
My daughter and I were celebrating her birthday as well as her recent move to a new apartment in Sugar House. What a wonderful surprise to find this restaurant so close by. It was definitely a combination of ambiance, service and food that made the price easier to swallow. It has been many years since I have had such a fabulous experience at a restaurant.
Fine dining at his best
Best service I ever had
Best Italian I ever had hands down la trattoria just raise the fine dining in slc
We wanted to try it out because it was new. And part of Sicilia Mia. Can we say......wow. Wow. Wow wow. Amazing. Felt like a trip to Italy. Luxury style
Just recently opened. Outstanding service. Really feel that these guys are trying hard to do a great job. Lighting ambiance still needs some work. Food was excellent.
Had a great experience at la Trattoria last week. Our waiter Claudio was outstanding.
Wonderful ambience, excellent service. Did not feel rushed. Great choice for a special occasion.
The Valentine's Day dinner was wonderful. Outstanding Italian food and caring staff.
Amazing food and service. Great place for a special occasion
Wonderful food great great service. Food was extraordinary. Many Savory dishes.
Excellent. The staff, the presentation, the food: all of it was excellent. You absolutely get what you pay for. Really looking forward to coming back and trying other menu items. We shared the courses (2 of us) starting with salad prepared table-side; primi course shared the pasta trio; carne course shared the tomahawk steak (we took a lot home - way too much for the two of us); espresso and shared cannoli for dessert. They start you with really lovely rustic house-made fresh bread as well. My only “less than perfect” suggestion for the restaurant would be to up their game on the Caesar salad. The croutons are what you would expect at any old place. They could use some of the day old from their house breads and make really wonderful and unique croutons.
Keep in mind this is more of a fine dining version of their other restaurants. Some reviewers were expecting the same as Sicilia Mia or Sicilia Antica, etc.. I’ve been to several of their locations; and while I’ve generally enjoyed them all, this one is special. Could not have been more pleased with the entire experience.
We made reservations thinking we were going to Sicilia Mia where we had eaten before in a different location. We found this location on their website expecting the same menu, same prices, same experience. WRONG! The prices were higher, the menu different and the food not good. Two of us ordered the "famous" Carbonara served table side in the wheel of Parmesan cheese. WRONG! They brought out a bowl of their version and served it in two bowls. When I asked they said "yes we get a lot of comments that we dont do that". The pasta had pork in it not pancetta and was rubbery and not good at all. Nothing tasted the same or was the same. And with the big bill at the end of the night and a very disappointing meal and experience we felt like we had been deceived. Wouldn't you think when a restaurant advertises 6 locations they would all be the same? That is usually what happens but unfortunately not this time. Dont waste your money.
Great food, great staff, great experience.
best fine dining Italian in town , I love the home made pasta love the service 5star
Fantastic addition to the Salt Lake dining scene! Before the meal was over I was already saying I wanted to come back immediately. Service was friendly and attentive and food was beyond expectation. I highly recommend the Ceasar prepared tableside & the Spaghetti al Limone e Caviale. Can't wait for my next visit.
We tried La Trattoria for the first time. Service and staff were wonderful, friendly, and outgoing. We had a Caesar salad for two, the tortellini, and the lemon sorbet with fruit for dessert. Because we are vegetarians who are serious about vegetables, we were sorry to see that there were no vegetable sides on the menu. Mostly the entrees were meat, and we don't eat meat. That was the downside.
We recommend that the salads might be served for one person with more vegetables and a more diverse offering of salads
We LOVE this chain of restaurants are were excited to try this new speciality location for our five year anniversary. The ambiance is fantastic and we were seated right by the kitchen and were able to watch them prepare the food. It took quite a while for someone to come over and give us menus after we were seated. It took even longer to get an actual waiter to our table. We were disappointed by the food, which surprised us both. I wanted a salad, but my man hates salad and the only option they had for salad were ones that served two people. The carbonara noodles did not seem to be cooked enough and the pesto dish was bland. We had numerous staff come over and welcome us and check- in on things, which was nice. However, three different staff came over to ask if we wanted more bread (to which we replied yes), and we never received it. Same when asking for Parmesan or pepper. Still love the family of restaurants, but likely will not be trying this location again.
Amazing food, great service and a lovely space with reasonable pricing and a good wine list. A fantastic addition to Salt Lake dining .
Amazing experience you travel to Italy with the first bite
Best fine dining in town best service ever, attentively water bowl if you order seafood and different steak knives to your choice
Best homemade fettuccine I have had as well
We can’t wait to go back
I’m excited to have this great new restaurant in the neighborhood. Loved the menu and the food. Great wine menu. A bit pricey but worth it. We will be back.
Service was exceptional. Food was excellent. The only reason for four stars was portion size was small for the entrees.
had to send the wine back. over priced and vey limited menu.
no chicken or pizza and only large shared salads.
seems more like a steak house w cheesy decor.
