Always great to visit when we are in town!
One can always count on great food and ambiance at LaScala
Wonderful food and service
Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere
Great menu. Reasonable prices. I have been going to LaScala for years and never tried their Antipasta. It was the best one I have ever had.
Overall, it was an enjoyable dinner. It was a Saturday and apparently, others wanted to eat out as well. We were seated about 6 minutes later than our reserved time; the hostess and owner stated it was extraordinarily busy.
Our waitress was great; she was personable and engaging. Again, due to it being busy she was busy just as well. Dinner consisted of a $30 3-course meal since it was Restaurant Appreciation Week; the food didn't disappoint, it was fabulous.
One thing to note, I enjoyed that owner stopped by the table to ask how everything was going and how our dinner was. She chatted with us for moment and that was fantastic!
We had a TERRIBLE experience last night. We walked in and the hosts said “we’re clearing tables, it’ll just be a few minutes”. We asked if we could grab a drink from the bar while we wait, and she said absolutely!
As time went on I asked the hostess TWO times if our table was almost ready after watching everyone that walked in the door being sat. Another 20minutes later she walked up to us and asked if we still wanted a table.
We understand they were busy, and overwhelmed so we didn’t say much about it. However, after being sat at a table NOT ONE PERSON came to our table for another 25min. At that point our reservation was for 6:45PM and it was 8:15PM so we decided to leave without eating. It was our anniversary, and we have two kids at home. So going out to a nice dinner isn’t always the easiest. I have NEVER been more disappointed in a dining experience in my life! We won’t be back
First time visit is and found it to be an extremely good experience. Service was wonderful. We had the restaurant week menu, and the portions were very substantial and each course was very well executed. COVID restrictions were followed (we ate on the patio - the only ones who chose to do so with the temperature in the low 70s).
The food was phenomenal as always. Generous portions and consistent quality.
We went during restaurant week and the risotto balls (can’t recall the dishes name) were fantastic. The chicken Parmesan was great, the chicken was well cooked and the breading was nice and crispy. Their cannoli was also really good.
We were there to celebrate our friend's birthday. Our meals were average/decent. Our server was extremely busy, to the point of being "stretched too thin" to adequately perform his job. He had shared that the "Birthday" person's dessert would be free. When the bill came, we were actually charged for it. No big deal, we just paid the bill and moved on. It was a chilly evening outside. The air conditioner in the restaurant was on. We had asked several times to have the air conditioning turned down or off as we were sitting right under a duct. The air was adjusted for a short time, but as the restaurant got busier, the air conditioning was on full blast. Had to eat our meals with our jackets on. Personally, for me, I will most likely not be returning here to dine again.
Great service and terrific food. Was a great place to visit for restaurant week.
The best Italian food in Columbus! From the moment you walked in and are greeted by the friendliest of people, to the ambience, the attentive server and decadent food, it was a five-star experience. The meatball appetizer is a MUST have and the fried risotto balls appetizer were the best I have ever had. Loved the eggplant parm! Servings were generous and I had leftovers for next day!
Awesome ambience, large portions, excellent taste, just delicious, great service!
Great Italian Food, Classy, a great date night restaurant.
Best lasagna in town! Also, the best house salad.
Food was wonderful, as usual. Live piano music was a nice touch to our meal.
We were a party of 12 and only one of the meals were enjoyable. The salmon wasn’t seasoned well, we asked the server if the tuna was fresh and although she said it was, it was canned. The pesto sausage/shrimp pasta made both people who ordered it sick that evening. It was a very underwhelming experience, and for $300+ definitely not what we expected.
It was a great night out. Delicious food, great service, beautiful piano music to make a perfect evening.
A nice relaxing evening enjoying the great food and service and listening to the live piano music.
Kind server outdoor patio nice great homemade pasta in some dishes and really excellent Italian meatballs
The food was very good and the service was excellent. Would recommend.
Outstanding evening on the patio with friends. Took part in some of the drink and food specials of the evening and they were excellent.
Had a good time at La Scala. Got a steak that was just okay. Probably should have gone with the Italian dishes.
They got us in last minute for 10 people after another place messed up our reservation for a 40th birthday dinner. It was our waitresses first night and she did outstanding. Thanks LaScala for coming thru
Went to intimate outside dining tables. Very nice and service by Joel was excellent! Food is always consistent and nicely prepared.
Long time patron who has always found the food and atmosphere to exceptional. I highly recommend it.
Celebrated a family birthday - great food and service. Ambiance was warm and friendly. Loved the pianist.
We chose your Italian bistro to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary.
This was our first time to your Italian bistro. I was however disappointed in the food quality. I was anticipating a much better quality of food. I personally have the veal Parmesan, and it appeared as though the breaded veal had been deep-fried way too long. While it was dark and hard, it did have a slight burnt taste to it.
I had asked the waitress if the cannoli was made there at your establishment. I was quite surprised when she answered that it was. It appeared to me that it had been frozen for a long period of time. It had a slight freeze or burn taste to it. As my wife is new to the United States from the Philippines, I was excited to introduce her to an Italian dessert and I chose that dessert to be the cannoli. I have had mini cannolis over my lifetime, and I was rather disappointed in that one.
Our waitress was absolutely amazing. She was very intuitive and very Great at providing us great quality service.
I’m not a complainer, I just think it’s fair to let you know how I felt. I would be willing to give your establishment a second chance in the future. We had a great experience, because the atmosphere was absolutely romantic and calm. And for that I greatly appreciate your establishment.
Best meatballs ever!
A good food good service at a good price this is a good place to eat at
Good service and great food!
I believe I got sick from the sea bass . The meals was played poorly too and looked like it was made in haste. Enough risotto for 4 and the fish was a bit burned but ok. The arugula on top didn’t look fresh.
If you are looking for classic, wonderful Italian food, look no further. Excellent dinner. All 5 of us loved our entries and the service was perfect.
Delicious spaghetti, more than I could eat. xxxxxx
Wonderful food and atmosphere. Looking forward to going here again soon!
I have been going to La Scala for thirty years. Just Love this restaurant.
I had the eggplant Parmesan it was outstanding! The service was great and having the piano player there was such a nice touch.
Awesome! The food was amazing and the server was very tentative. Everything came out quickly!
Our dinner was overall pretty good! The food was good and the restaurant itself is STUNNING! The only minor complaint I would have is that it took quite a while for a waitress to come over to our table after we had been seated. But otherwise, the waitress was great when it came to keeping our water glasses refilled, etc!
