Birthday for my daughter!
Varied menu of traditional Italian favorites. Casual ambiance. Great service with moderate pricing
I've heard many good things about La Scala but I've never actually been. I corrected this by reserving a table for myself and my girlfriend.
The menu was so full of delicious sounding options! We ended up getting the garlic bread with cheese and Italian wedding soup to start. We enjoyed both but to me the garlic bread with cheese was amazing.
For the main course, I ordered pasta vesuvio, a creamy spicy sauce on penne pasta with house made Italian sausage crumbles. The spice was too much for my girlfriend but it was good for me. Just be careful if you're not much for spice.
My girlfriend ordered the chicken Bella Vista. We both loved this chicken with white wine cream sauce!
We also had a bottle of Canyon Road Moscato that was great.
Our waiter was also very helpful, knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor.
Overall a great experience at a beautiful restaurant. We're already planning to go back for lunch soon to try the pizza
Nice to dine in quiet restaurant for a welcome change.
Restaurant was almost empty on early Sunday evening. Service was efficient but they brought me the wrong dish. They were quick about replacing it.
One of my favorite spots in Dublin. Great food and excellent service. You have to go in on Tuesday and sit with rob at the bar for happy hour and order the 8$ cheese lasagna special!!!
This was our first time at La Scala but it won't be our last! Our waitress, Allison, was excellent and the food was delicious! We will definitely recommend this restaurant to our friends. Really worth the drive!
Great service by Ian, the best server in Columbus! Food was great, service was impeccable. We love coming here and bringing friends and family who haven't visited this restaurant.
Friends in from out of town, 4 dinners, nothing was outstanding except the hot bread was great, as was the service. I had the shrimp and scallops dish. Everything was ala carte, soup was just ok. Very pricey for the quality. Also the large bucket near us catching water from the roof leak did nothing for the atmosphere. We have not been there for awhile & will not go back again with guests from out of town it was embarrassing.
Impressed with the wonderful food and outstanding staff.
Enjoyed my birthday meal with Jerry the piano player, wonderful food, great ambiance, and good service. You can't go wrong with La Scala!
Service was the only thing that was good. The food reminded me of bad country club food from my childhood. Everything was very salty, loaded with different cream sauces even when they were in a red sauce.
We felt like it was a very unhealthy meal.
Great as always! Morgan was our server and did a fantastic job. He’s the best. Food was wonderful with large portions (always have some to take home and enjoy)
Great gem in Dublin!
Had a going away dinner for 5 and everything was wonderful! Our server nikhil was attentive and knowledgeable. Had the veal parmigiana and it was absolutely Devine!! The piano was a very charming touch. Would recommend highly for any type of event
Great selection on menu. My italian entree was excellent and very authentic.
We went to LaScala on West Dublin-Granville Road to celebrate our 43rd Wedding Anniversary and our Brother-In-Law's Birthday. We have gone to this location before.
Our Server was Megan H (346) and she did an outstanding job from the beginning of getting our drinks to the final "free" BDAY dessert, which was a pleasant surprise (not too many restaurants do anything anymore)!!
She was friendly, very attentive to us not wanting to be "rushed", and always ready to do whatever it took to make us happy. What a nice encounter in sometimes a hurried environment, where all that matters is to take an order and get the customer out of the restaurant for another customer!!
We also told the Manager of the La Scala on West Dublin-Granville Road about Megan as we left, so he was also aware of her outstanding job.
What a wonderful experience. We will definitely go back and if possible ask for Megan again.
My wife and I first visited La Scala in 1997 shortly after relocating here in Columbus. We were very let down. The white wine initially served to us was warm and the pasta was over cooked. We then found other Italian restaurants that we liked and didn't return to La Scala until a few days ago. This time the white wine was properly chilled, the service was very good, the pianist was capable, but the pasta still wasn't al dente. We are unlikely to return.
First time there and loved it. The atmosphere, service, and food was on point.
It was awesome! My second visit! I'll be back!!!
We were seated promptly—-next to a party of 14 who were so loud the place was vibrating!! We
Asked to be moved immediately and we were. Still were able to hear the very loud party, however
It was an improvement.
My husband and I dined with our son and his wife and our 6 month-old grandson. It was our grandson's first restaurant visit and he did great-even fell asleep during our dinner, despite the noise level which was loud. The salads were fresh and we enjoyed our entrees too. The wait staff were pleasant and helpful to all our needs. Overall, a nice choice for Italian comfort food.
La Scala never seems to disappoint. Hands down, my favorite restaurant in Columbus. The live piano music and beautiful interior create the perfect ambiance for a date night or special occasion.
The live music- pianist was absolutely wonderful adding to the ambiance! We were able to talk while listening to music. Waiter was terrific We had a large group and kept drinks flowing He didn’t hurry us to order.
Excellent dining experience celebrating a birthday. Staff was extremely friendly and professional. Highly recommend this dining venue.
We loved this place for a date night! We had really great service and it was quiet and romantic and comfortable. The bruschetta was great and so was our food! We bought a bottle of sparkling wine, which was reasonably priced. Overall a very nice experience :)
We had to send the food back because it wasn’t hot. We both had pasta and in spite of the fact that they were different dishes, they basically tasted the same. Mediocre at best. The house salad is the best thing on the menu.
Serve was very timid hard to understand my guess was he was just hired .
Went for my bday not one mention... fruit di
mar... all pasta. Huge bowl w 2 shrimp 2 scallops and 2 baby clans... sad the waiter tried but he wasn’t well trained... didn’t even want to stay for dessert.. it was that disappointing. Didn’t even want the leftovers... never again.. was more impressed with Olive Garden and I don’t particularly care for that. Either..
The food was exquisite and our server Nikhil was an absolute pleasure! One of the best experiences I've had dining out in a while! Will definitely be recommending this restaurant to friends.
Spaghetti Sauce was not to their usual quality. Watery and bland. Salad was great...terrific dressing. I knocked over my wine glass and broke it. The host indicated he would bring me a new glass of wine but never did. I had to ask the waitress to remove the wine from my bill (only had one sip).
Grace was a fantastic server! She made great recommendations and knew her stuff about the menu! We had a wonderful dinner.
We had dinner after the 100 Women that Care meeting hosted in the ballroom which was wonderful and it was great of La Scala to give that ballroom to our group for free! We appreciate it so much!
This is a wonderful organization of women doing great things for some or our local charitable organizations.
We will return! Hopefully after the next 100 Women that Care meeting!
Again, Grace was a delight!
Good was very good. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Just a bit pricey.
First time here and it was wonderful. Our server was attentive and food was hot.
Solid Italian restaurant. Portions are very large. Very little for vegetarians.
The food was wonderful however, our server (Justin T) had a bad and unfriendly attitude.
I don't know why we don't come here more often! This is a wonderful place with great food, atmosphere and service.
Wild Mushroom Risotto is wonderful! Loaded with mushrooms and veggies. Ravioli good but meatball served with it wasn't as large as we thought it would be. Wine over priced. Italian selection might have been better value but we aren't as familiar with those. Service was very good and they honored our seating preferences. Definitely would return. Enjoyed piano playing but it was quite loud until restaurant filled up. Liked selection played.
We received the table as requested, near the piano, and enjoyed the music very much. Food was good and service excellent.
Great place for authentic Italian food! Great atmosphere, piano music, pleasant staff.
The crust of the peach cobbler was very salty. Otherwise, everyone enjoyed their meals. Best eggplant parmagiana ever.
