La Puerta Mission Hills is the second addition to the La Puerta family. We offer the same menu as our sister restaurant in the Gaslamp which has celebrated 13 years of operation. We are dedicated to bringing a unique dining experience to the Mission Hills neighborhood which features delicious Mexican food, an extensive agave selection, handcrafted cocktails and margaritas made with fresh squeezed juice.
We invite you to join us and experience our hospitality in what we hope will be your go to Cantina for years to come.

    Fabulous restaurant! Excellent service , fun energetic environment and great food. The music is a little too loud especially if you have more than two people in your group, it’s hard to hear. But this is just a minor item. The restaurant is really great!

    Great meal. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The atmosphere was also great. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back soon!

    Sitting at the bar was nice, the bartender was attentive and friendly. The waiter once we got seated wasn’t as attentive and would periodically to see if we needed something. But overall the experience of the restaurant was very pleasant

    We really enjoyed our lunch here. The Guacamole recommendation was a winner. The restaurant is pretty with the living wall, and it was quiet at lunch time. I would rather have a printed cocktail menu, but it wasn't a big deal to look up drinks on our phones. I would definitely return.

    The atmosphere was electric and the vibe was absolutely amazing, lively and unforgettable. Decent Mexican food at great prices-tasty, satisfying and easy on the wallet. The Flan dessert wasn’t too sweet or bland for our liking.

    All of the staff was amazing and the food delicious. Always a tiny bit annoying when there are yapping dogs, but we still had a lovely time!
