La Plage is a waterfront casual restaurant & oyster bar showcasing a coastal cuisine focused on locally harvested seafood and shellfish, garden fresh produce and sustainable meats, served in a relaxed atmosphere with views of the Saugatuck River and Long Island sound. Lovely water view but not happy with lunch menu. More like dinner entrees. No sandwiches except burger and did not have Swiss cheese instead of cheddar. No grilled salmon. French fries were undercooked. Price for lobster roll was expensive at $42.

Great views of the water, from inside and outside on the deck. Service was attentive and caring, and the food was excellent. Best fish and chips I've had in a long time.

We had an anniversary lunch at La Plage on 6/12/2025. Very pleased. Good, interesting, very nicely presented food. Excellent, pleasant, knowledgeable service. Great parking. Beautiful location. A little pricey, but worth it. We will return.

The food was fine, the issue was the kitchen was backed up quite a bit. So the food was slow to come out to the point where one waiter was asking if we wanted to order dessert...before our main course had even come out.

Overall a very good experience that started off a bit rocky. I had reserved months in advance to celebrate the occasion of three June birthdays. We were initially offered a table by the hostess that was a small 4 top with a 5th chair squished at the end right by the entry and far from the outdoor table requested on open table and also requested in a follow up phone call. The hostess seemed fine with letting us leave and said it would be over an hour for another table. Fortunately the general manager stepped in and after a twenty minute wait enjoying drinks at the bar we were finally escorted to a perfect corner table outside with lovely views to enjoy with the good food, good service and great company. Everything was delicious and we will return as this is a favorite restaurant! The new menu is very good and maintains the best of the old menu!

This is such a great venue, sitting outside on the porch overlooking Long Island Sound. The food is also delicious but a little pricey. Great for a special occasion. Service is also very good.

A beautiful spot overlooking a picturesque ocean view at Longshore in Westport CT… The food was delicious and the service excellent. I highly recommend La Plague, it will evoke the feeling of having stepped onto a resort. Bon appetite!!
