   The ambience was lovely. The service was top-notch. It was really nice to see so many of our old friends meaning the WAIT staff back at the restaurant. THE CHEF‘S NEW MENU WAS EXCELLENT. WE BOTH HAD THE FISH OF THE DAY DORADO. IT WAS SEARED ON THE SKIN PERFECTLY AND COOKED NOT A MOMENT TOO LONG. OUR ONLY CRITIQUE WAS THE OLIVE OIL CAKE AND ALMOND CAKE WAS A LITTLE DENSE LIKE A POUND CAKE AND THERE WAS A LITTLE TO KNOW ALMOND FLAVOR, BUT THE SORBET WAS FANTASTIC AND THE CAKE WAS GOOD. IT WAS JUST NOT WHAT WE EXPECTED.

   Lovely restaurant on Westport shoreline. Food was fabulous! The seafood, from tuna tartare, mussels, shrimp, clams to Dorado all so well prepared and presented. We can’t wait to return.

   After being closed for over four months, my wife and I were somewhat surprised to see that so little had changed at LaPlage, including the menu. While we are very fond of this restaurant’s water view, and the staff are nice, the noise level in the enclosed sunroom was so loud that we cut our evening short without dessert or coffee. We‘ll certainly return for an outdoor brunch, but won’t again take the noise risk for dinner.

   One of the best NYE celebrations my husband and I have experienced! The restaurant was decorated in an elegant and festive way to set the mood. The live music was excellent, encouraging many folks to dance. The service was wonderful. And the 5 course tasting menu was exquisite ! What a wonderful way to bring in the new year!

   Have been dining here for a long time. It’s always a pleasant experience with a changing and interesting specials offering that keeps us coming back for more. Last time was for my moms 95th birthday celebration. We were given a glass of champagne for all 5 of us in the beginning of our meal. The wait staff, especially our waiter, was attentive to my mom throughout our dinner and made her feel special. The staff really out did themselves! La Plage is a great all-around restaurant located in a beautiful setting on the Long Island Sound.

   Absolute perfection. The meal & service were impeccable. We went for dinner on Christmas day. We were seated promptly & didnt have to wait for anything. The attention from the staff was amazing. We may go back every year if we can.

   This Prix Fixe Christmas lunch was one of the best meals my husband and I have EVER had. The Amuse roast chestnut latte with vanilla foam topping was unbelievably delicious. I will try to replicate it. The raw bar selection was next - so fresh, so delicious, especially the oysters. My husband ordered the ample NY steak, cooked as ordered, enough that we had left over for breakfast today. I had the crusted salmon in a cauliflower risotto. Finally the best English Christmas pudding ever, and I am English. Fruity, moist and the light glacé sauce completed our meal. Truly outstanding service from Oumo and all the staff who were efficient, timely and patient.

   We usually go out to a top shelf restaurant for Thanksgiving and Christmas but failed to get a reservation at our usual spot and we were blessed to find a table at Lav Plage! Excellent on all counts, ambiance, service and quality of the dinners we each enjoyed. We recommend La Plage for a quality dining experience.

   The king salmon was absolutely awful. No taste. English pudding was mediocre. The truffle risotto was excellent Prefer consistent food quality in a pricey testaurant.

    Wonderful Xmas lunch. I’ve never dined out on Christmas Day. The service was exceptional, warm and friendly. The prix fixe menu was eclectic, serving all palates. All dishes were beautifully prepared.
