Valentine's Day Special Menus & More
Love is in the Air, we are featuring Vday curated Specials along our regular menu and Raw Bar.
Good broad selection of well prepared, seafood oriented dishes. Super food salad and golden beet salad stood out. Cod was flavorful. The key was the excellent service throughout. Our waiter was superb and the manager ran a tight ship. I will return for sure.
We had an AMAZING time! Ronaldo, our server, was amazing! He made us feel very welcome and took great care of us. My husband and I are huge raw bar fans and frequently would go out to indulge in oysters when we lived in NYC. Since we moved to CT it’s been tough to find a place that shucks them properly without getting pieces of shell in the oyster or chopping the oyster to bits in the process. They have a TOP NOTCH shucker at La Plage! The oysters were all fresh, plump and shell-free. The best oysters I’ve had in a long time. They are a bit pricey, but I saw that they have a happy hour selection at a lesser price. I can’t wait to go enjoy a glass of bubbles and indulge in the oysters of the hour! Our group also really loved the crudo, the goat cheese salad, the octopus, the lobster risotto, the bass and the mushroom pasta. For a seafood joint, we were blown away that the chicken and pork chops were just as yummy and the Chef prepared the pork to the appropriate temperature without overcooking it. Oh and the BREAD! Devine! We will definitely be back soon!
I really liked the way the new restaurant looks compared to the previous, and great food and cocktails. Everyone was very pleasant.
This was my first time at the La Plage restaurant at the Long Shore Club. the restaurant has changed hands a few times over the past ten years. This new restaurant seems like it is off to a good start. I hope they have continued success. The location and the views make it ideal for when the weather is nicer and the sunsets are a bit later in the day. A cold winter evening did not provide the best atmosphere.
Our meals were very good. I had the hamburger and it was delicious. My dining companion had a salad with chicken and it was large and also delicious. I look forward to going back to La Plage.
I had asked for a candle to be put in the dessert since we were celebrating a birthday. I didn’t ask the waiter because I did it online when I made the reservation. Very disappointed that this request was not honored. That is not good customer service.
We've been several times since November and the food is always great and service is consistently well above average. We Like that the tables are spread apart, offering some distancing as well. Cool vibe, gorgeous location and great food and service. Best dirty martini (with blue cheese olives) I've ever had!
highly recommend. great views of the Sound, excellent service and food!
The restaurant is beautiful and the staff is very friendly and attentive.
The prices are quite high. Our experience specifically was frustrating because we ordered what we thought would be a form of a bagel and lox and turned out to be an entire pizza which I could have shared with my daughter. Each pizza was $26 so the bill was very high.
Lovely News Year Brunch in a lovely setting. Everyone safely spaced. Immaculate.
Food wasn’t great
Our reservation was for 6:00. We had to wait over a half hour until anyone noticed us. The noise level was so high that we couldn't hold a conversation without shouting.
As for the food, it was OK -- I've had better. But I don't think the dinner for four was worth almost $500. We only had three glasses of wine @ $13 each, and four cups of coffee at $3 each. I think at those prices, coffee should have been included.
The service was excellent.
Celebrated Christmas dinner.
They were surprisingly well organized for being completely full on Christmas! We had a great meal and will be back.
It was extremely noisy and very uncomfortable to have a relaxing dinner!!
We went for the Christmas Eve dinner everything was perfection. The food, wait staff and company were wonderful!
Their Christmas Day specials were very good. Truly some of the best prepared food of my life. I will be back.
First time diners for the prix fixe Christmas Day lunch. Everything was absolutely fabulous. Greeted and seated promptly and attention had been paid to my special instruction when I reserved. Friendly server and the food off the chain. Portions were ample and presentation beautiful. Oysters, filet mignon cooked to perfection and the fingerling potatoes divine. Egg nog creme brûlée was a festive and original dessert. Definitely recommend this place and will be returning soon.
Nice meal and setting though my steak was not cooked to the temperature I ordered and the seats are seriously uncomfortable.
This restaurant has the perfect location to dine in Westport, the view is outstanding. The food is fresh and beautifully prepared, the atmosphere is wonderful. We have eaten there many times since opening and never felt rushed by servers.
Awful food. Tasteless. The service was very slow but only 5 or 6 tables were full. With so many great restaurants in the area, they will need to step up their food game to be successful. It’s a shame because the ambiance, especially in the summer, is so great.
Very loud in patio area
Great food- little pricey but service & staff is great
The food was sensational. The service was excellent.
Noise level on deck makes it preferable.
At night there is light pollution from bright lights
On property which make enjoying the normal harbor
Lights more difficult. Easy for management to fix.
The oysters, octopus and goat cheese salad were all delicious. The lobster risotto was soggy and the steak was not well prepared.
Excellent food and service! We had a nice table in the heated outside part.
Unusual menu. Good service. Very stark and too loud. Apps, entrees and drinks very pricey. Not a good value compared to similar restaurants.
Great location and ambience along with great service, drinks and food.
We were celebrating a special anniversary ( indicated at time of reservation) & hoped for a more memorable evening such as our previous experiences at L’escale & Artisan.
Thanksgiving dinner for two was a lovely experience at La Plage. We were lucky to be seated by the window and enjoyed a spectacular sunset view. I highly recommend the oysters which were very fresh and delicious. The service was amazing. This is our 2nd time there, and we will be back.
The food and the service were outstanding. The only drawback was the excessive noise level. It was hard to converse with my wife who sat only a couple of feet away, of a large table of heavy drinking women next to us who made an obnoxious amount of noise. Given the crowded amount of diners, we were not able to relocate away from them.
My family and I booked a table for seven at La Plage for Thanksgiving. To start, Riley was lovely to accommodate our request to change our reservation just two days beforehand. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, airy, and did not at all make anyone feel at risk of being on top of strangers. The closed in patio had stunning views of the water and easily socially distanced from other patrons. The staff were very well trained and accommodating, even replacing a salad that needed modifying within minutes. Each course was expertly prepare, delicious, and more than enough food for each of us. We kept remarking how much we were enjoying ourselves and what a perfect spot it was for the holiday. We will definitely be returning.
This was our second visit to La Plage. We were greeted and welcomed back by the friendly hostess. Since it was Thanksgiving, the menu was prix fixe, but had plenty of choices for our party of 4. Every course was excellent and we were even given turkey sliders to take home for our leftovers. We will certainly be regulars at this wonderful venue.
Nice ambience and excellent service on a Sunday eve but lobster roll was a little over cooked. Would go again
Too noisy, table left unclean in between courses, cold temp food ok not special
The menu is very limited, not enough options. Price are very high! $24 for a pizza? Ordered the black bass and salmon, had no taste at all. This was very disappointing especially for the high prices. Such a beautiful location but not worth the money
First time dinning at La Plage snd I must say it was fantastic from the moment we were greeted until the end. Food was delicious. I look forward to going back. ✔️
Food and service excellent. Sunday night quiet so noise levels low. However we were there for restaurant week and the noise got overwhelming as the dining room filled
Dined on a SUnday night, restaurant wasn't very crowded and service was present and attentive. Family of 5 are all picky and everyone found something they loved on the menu. Would definitely return. Cool decor.
The food, service, and view are outstanding. My husband and I have been there twice--most recently to celebrate our anniversary. We shared an excellent bottle of wine recommended by the waitress, and a cauliflower and hummus appetizer. He enjoyed the lobster risotto; I enjoyed the bass. Both were beautifully presented and delicious. The service was excellent.
Excellent attentive staff; lovely coastal chic ambiance…food prices on the high side - so will be special occasion place, rather than regular dining spot.
