   Yes it was Mother's Day, but timing of the meal was *way* off: 2 adult main courses arriving well before the pizza for our teenage daughter. Yes, a manager came by the table to let us know the pizza kitchen was backed up & we weren't forgotten, but no offer of bread or something for the 3rd person at the table to do other than watch their parents eat? Gelato also arrived well after the (premade) deserts and coffee arrived even later. Food was okay, nothing truly as amazing as the prices would have you think. Ambiance is essentially minimal, it's just mostly one large room with faux marble tabletops.

   I mean, this place is a vibe. They have a huge menu and some people liked what they ordered and some of us thought our food was bland. It was definitely all overpriced for what we got. There are far better Italian restaurants. Honestly, I think the marketplace is the best part about going here.

   We have NEVER had a more disappointing meal. Our server was very charming and the bottle of wine, which didn’t arrive until after the appetizer and the salad, was properly chilled.Beyond that, the idea that this pathetic excuse for quality, authentic Italian food can be misrepresented as a positive dining experience is sadly laughable. We came here to luxuriate in the same dishes we LOVED at another Eataly. Big mistake. We will not return.

   We can’t believe how the service could be so bad. We’ve been before but probably won’t go back. They don’t write down your order and so basically there were errors in basically everything we ordered from the first drink to the last dessert. They were working hard but had no idea what the other wait staff was doing. It was a cluster f of service. There were forgotten meals, they canceled the advertised cannoli cart and no more afogados. Sorry but no more us. We will only eat down stairs for now on. It’s too bad. I used to like this place.

   It was a week night and not very busy but our waiter was slower and when we were ready for the check he was puttering around folding napkins and tasking. I also did not love that he served us dessert but did not think to bring us utensils so we had to flag him down to get them

   We had early dinner at La Pizza & La Pasta. Both the food quality and the performance of wait staff were below expectations. Our total bill was a shocking $200 (for 3 people). We will never go back there again. The caesar salad was dry with little dressing. We had to ask the wait staff for a side of caesar’s dressing and for them to top off our salad with some parmesan cheese. All of our dishes were served cold: the Bolognese, the pizza and meatballs. The wait staff did not ask us about whether we want house water or bottle water. Instead, the waitress went ahead and ordered a bottle water ($10!!). When they served us the Bolognese, they did not ask if we would like shredded parmesan cheese on top. We also noticed that the wait staff never stopped by our table to check on this. They all seemed stressed with some anxious energy. For a restaurant located inside an EATALY location, and how they market themselves as authentic Italian experience, I give this place only 2 stars !!!

   Dinner at La Pizza & La Pasta was fantastic! The service was warm and friendly, and the management was impressively attentive, ensuring everything was just right. We started with the tagliere and caponata, both excellent. For mains, we had the cacio e pepe and the scoglio, each packed with flavor. To finish, we shared a creamy, delicious tiramisù. We’re definitely planning a return visit!

   This is a busy place, the service was efficient but nothing special. The food was good, but not great just pretty standard Italian fare.

    I had the pasta with the carbonara sauce. It’s a simple and elegant dish. If done right, it is heavenly. This restaurant did it right. This savory dish at Pasta & Pizza reminds me of the flavors of “Roma.” It was al dente and filled with an authentic Italian taste. The thick smoky bacon enhanced it even more. The pasta was simply amazing. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Thank you.
