La Noria Bistro
We loved our dining experience! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was charming and sexy. Can’t wait to come back!!
Highly recommend this restaurant. Food was amazing and service was excellent! Great for groups or date night!
Sister restaurant to El Barzon...similar (but not the same) menu and food quality...the atmosphere was a little nicer and more up to date...went with 6 others and everyone liked their meals and will be back.
We are always looking for new places and this came from Hour Magazine. Inside was surprising nice. Nice staff and very attentive. Food was average. Seems to be trying too much to be a blend of Mexican and Italian. Misses on both. My guess it would be much better as one or the other.
Food unfortunately was cold for several of us dining. Food was fair but very poorly seasoned. Service was great. Will not return.
Service was very slow... waitress seemed untrained... initial cocktails took 20 mins to get to us...
didn't get requests for more sauce for chips fulfilled...
The food was very good. I had
There were four of us and the meals were all excellent.
Food was delicious and drinks were good, however I wish service was just a little bit faster. Then again, it was a bust night so I can't blame them.
The food was incredible From the appetizer Shrimp LaNoria, to our entrees. AMAZING. We love it there!!
We went here for our Valentine's Day dinner. It was good crowd but didn't expect service to be as slow as it was. We waited about 15 minutes after sitting down before our server took our drink order. It appeared others seated prior to us had been waiting a while also. Entire dinner took about 2 hours and missed a movie we were planning to see. That said, food was good (not great). We would go back on an off night to see if it is truly bad service or just a busy Valentine's Day night. I recommend giving them a try.
Service started out slow but the food was good,
Terrific blend of menu items for everyone's palate. Outstanding food. Fantastic service.
Great food, atmosphere and service.
Food did cool off rather quickly after being served, but still good food.
We had an excellent meal at La Noria Bistro. Hubby had the goat barbacoa and octopus appitizer and I had the special, eggplant lasagna. All was very, very good!! The service was outstanding! We will be back.
La Noria Bistro was wonderful and I will definitely return. From the minute we were seated, our server brought us chips and salsa (which was out of this world). I ordered the caprese appetizer which is served in a tower for starting with a portobello mushroom, tomato, fresh mozzarella cheese and basil. It sits in a puree of basil and vinegar garnished with balsamic vinegar. Fantastic! Our entrees were veal parmigiana which was perfectly cooked and sauced and served with a generous side of spaghetti. I ordered the orecchiette with lamb ragu. Since the pasta is made in house and in limited quantities they had run out. So I asked for the ragu over fettuccini. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and the sauce was seasoned perfectly. Finally for my birthday I was served a decadent piece of chocolate cake on a large platter wishing me a happy birthday. There are many things on the menu that are interesting and most definitely will be returning to try.
Food and service was excellent as always.
Great food and service. Lots of menu choices including fresh sea food. Sea bass entree was delicious. Beautiful restored building.
i love this place. very family friendly, exceptional service and great food.
100/100 recommend every time if you haven't. even if you have, go back!
Great food, great service highly recommend dinner for two without any drinks but two appetizers and dinners was under $50.00 and food was delicious. Many options from Mexican and Italian cuisine.
Excellent food and service as always
We went to La Noria bases on reviews and were not disappointed. Really enjoyed the Mole, the octopus appetizer, and shrimp scampi. Will definitely come back.
Food and service was excellent as always.
Really enjoyed the food. I definitely will go back again.
We’ve been before which made us bring friends back. This visit though brought really slow and terrible service. We had a reservation and they put us in the section of huge party (30 people) and we ended up having to move we could hear each other. Food was delicious though.
Always great food and service!
Very good food, wonderful waiter, great atmosphere. Would go back. Reasonably priced too.
Nice menu, friendly staff, food was very good. We will be back.
You can’t mess up a house salad, and they messed up a house salad.
An empty Saturday night and service was still slow. The waitress was not attentive. The food had no character but, the lemon drop martini was EXCELLENT!
Although the service was ok, the staff didn’t seem trained in the restaurant/hospitality industry. No welcome, no thanks for coming, just indifferent. Food and ambiance were great.
Oh my goodness. My mom makes the best sauce in the world please DO NOT tell her I tasted La Noria’s classic spaghetti and realized I’ve been living a lie my whole life. Amazing. Thank you. Awesome, awesome, awesome. I was mad at myself for ordering a “boring dish” until it was love at first bite.
So full, so happy.
When the food is this good you know it’s something special.
We were in Detroit for the Detroit Free Press international half marathon. We chose this place because we wanted to eat Italian to carb load. It was shocking that it was Italian and Mexican food, which are two of my favorite cuisine‘s. My daughter and I ordered lasagna Bolognese it was amazing. My boyfriend ordered spaghetti and he loved it. His son ordered pepperoni pizza and inhaled it. The bread was great. The guacamole appetizer was also amazing…
Food is really good chef knows what to do service was too slow in the beginning but got better need more staff especially at bar however we will be back menu is exciting
The service was just plain bad. They food was fair and we wished we had gotten a reservation at El Barzon instead. It’s like a sad step child of El Barzon. Probably won’t go back.
This place does it all well....Food was incredible, creative, delicious but not pretentious. Seriously, the best margarita I have ever had...not sticky or too sweet and they salt half the glass, which is good because I always forget to say "no salt". Waitress was constantly checking on us and so was the management. Staff could not be nicer. Inside is warm, hip and feels authentic. The area is up and coming (Two James, Slows, Gold Cash Gold and the old train station are a mile away) they just replaced the sidewalks and there a lot of activity at this corner (sister restaurant, El Barzon is next door). We will be back because I am still thinking about the Octopus appetizer that we requested extra bread to soak up the incredible sauce....
The food was really good , the service was just okay. Our server was very nice but a little absent at times. It’s also a rather slow, start to finish so give yourself plenty of time for your meal
I will be back. It’s a really good place.
Unfortunately I can’t name a decent thing about this establishment outside of the ambiance inside. There are so many Cons that I think the owners need to start from scratch.
Parking in a designated muddy parking lot prior to entering the establishment set the tone.
Took 20 minutes to get our first drink-which was wrong by the way.
I ordered fettuccine Alfredo with prosciutto which came out as if it had been under a heat lamp for 15 minutes. Prosciutto looked like diced up ham from Kroger.
I ordered a taco which I thought was really good.
My date enjoyed her food though. She had penne
Cute restaurant. Diverse menu. We had a table of six. We all ordered Mexican. Enchiladas we not that good. Tacos were okay. Service was sub par. Hardly ever came back to refill the single bottle that was left on the table for six people.
Steak tacos were excellent
