Took two friends (Back Bay "foodies" ) and they were stunned they didn't know about you... Totally loved the food even though we all ordered the same entree.... They will make the "long" trip from their "base" again.... I only have to walk!!! Lucky me Stay as wonderful as you have always been surprising all w/ new ideas in seasonal "findings" !!

A nice find that I discovered on Yelp. The restaurant is in a funny location, however once you're inside its really lovely. The food is creative Italian - not your normal spaghetti meal!

A group of 5 friends met at LaMarra for dinner. I am so glad to know about the restaurant, as it was my first visit. We enjoyed the food and wine and the experience was great. Once more people arrived, it became a bit loud, so I probably would not bring my in laws as they are hard of hearing. But I Will definitely return.

The food is excellent and the wine pairings we had with the prix-fixe were superb. The ambience is pleasant, if a little noisy. Unfortunately, the service was very slow. We had some younger servers upstairs who seemed a little challenged by everything, and were not very attentive. No-one came to the table for a long period. Finally, I waved down a server to ask for the bill. We then asked to split the bill onto two separate credit cards and this just seemed to stump them. I think they were confused we were leaving before desert had been ordered, oblivious to how long the table had been left unattended. When the senior server returned he looked pained as he realized what happened (I felt bad for him). It was unfortunate, because the food really was excellent and the wines expertly chosen and the senior server was quite good. But the younger staff just did not know what to do.
