Connor was the best waiter ever!! So accommodating and so nice! We can’t wait to celebrate again at La Lucha!
Overall most dishes tasted good, only thing holding it back is the prices/value you get from a few dishes.
Great experience. Service and food were phenomenal. Will be coming back soon!
What a gem! So glad our son recommended it to us. We were super impressed with the fun dining room and the great menu choices. We had excellent service and were continuously checked on by everyone. I highly recommend this place -- such a good vibe.
Great good! Great chef!
I thought the menu was too small and very limited lo were calorie options.
Great food, significant and unique dishes. Waiter had deep and thoughtful input and recommendations on drinks. Management is consistent, present and engaged.
Great fried chicken!!
Thank you Brian for making sure my friends and I were taken care of tonight. My friends were floored with our dining experience. The service by Connor was exceptional. What a wonderful young man. From beginning to finish, everything was perfect. One of my friends really needed this outing. Her dad has Alzheimer's and she lost her job as she is his caretaker. It has been very difficult for her and I wanted her to have a nice time. Coming to La Lucha was the best and right decision. Thank you.
Best fried shrimp and chicken in town.
It's cute for drinks and apps. Not a well thought out menu for a balanced meal.
La Lucha is consistently excellent. One of the best oyster programs in the city and seasonal offerings keep the menu fresh. The boudin balls alone are worth a trip. Enjoy!
My husband and I loved La Lucha on our first visit. However, the second visit wasn't so great. The fried chicken was not as delicious as the first time. The dumplings were mushy. I should have said something. Service was ok. I'm not sure but the consistency just wasn't there and consistency is important so that clients can continue to be excited over recommending a place.
Delicious!! We had the Red Snapper on the Half Shell and Brussel Sprouts it was amazing. The service was really good. Our server was very attentive. We will be returning soon.
La Lucha is our comfort food. Love going there; it’s become a Thursday tradition.
The service was wonderful. Our waiter was very well versed in how each item was prepared. The food was delightful. Deviled eggs, Roasted Brussels sprouts ( in kimchi sauce)... biscuits to die for and fried chicken and shrimp!! The chicken was brined for two days and was delish! I didn’t like being so crowded ( our neighbors conversation overshadowed our dinner) And, due to the crowd it was a little loud. Overall though, we loved it and will return!!
I love La Lucha!
Excellent fried chicken and biscuits. Get the whole bird and take home leftovers.
We tried a bunch of different items and each were delicious! Our waiter was great and attentive. Will definitely be back!
Made a reservation same evening on a Thursday. Nice vibe. Very good service. Easy to hear conversation but still a lively ambience. Exceptional dishes. Inventive cocktails. Overall recommend. All of the food was very good. All very intense and spiced. Butter, cheese, peppers, kimchi. Could use a more balance but we may have ordered imprudently and I’m admittedly a mature diner. Great for sharing. Will definitely try again. Valet parking was easy and complimentary. Recommend.
Its always amazing. The drinks, food, and not mention the best charbroiled oyster this side of the Mississippi
Easily the best fried chicken and the best biscuits we’ve ever had. Relaxed but professional service. Complimentary valet parking made our experience even more seamless. Thank you for a great date night!
Everything was delicious. Our server was very patient with us as new patrons of your restaurant. He made a delicious recommendation. I only wish you sold individual pieces of chicken.
The food was all really good. Service was exceptional. I would definitely come back. Parking can be kind of tricky if you don't valet but overall my wife and I had a good experience.
Great drinks, great food and great oysters! I have been on multiple occasions and never had a bad thing.
Food was great, service was outstanding, and the cocktail mixing was good!
My 11-year old son chose La Lucha for his birthday based on the burgers and soft serve. Happy hour oysters were great. Service was friendly as usual.
I love this place..... the food and staff are excellent
I made a reservation 24 hrs in advance but was seated along the wall with inches between two other tables! Awful. It was early and very few people there. Not necessary and it was not appreciated.
Food was great and waiter was great. Our seating was ridiculous.
Food was delicious fun atmosphere
Normally, this is our go to place when we want fried chicken, but this visit was very off. The butter tasted like margarine. The chicken and biscuits were excellent as usual, but my dining partner and I both got very sick after we left.
La Lucha is always a solid choice. We will return soon.
The redfish was spicy and lip smacking delicious. But even better was the uniquely prepared collard greens. They were mysteriously flavored with a complex array of unknown ingredients. We will definitely visit again because my wife spied an enormous platter of fried chicken that brought back memories of carefree childhood Sunday afternoons. The only negative that I can recall was the lack of adequate signage which caused us to circle the block.
We had an issue with service. Our food came out really late and at separate times. The description given by our server of the oyster loaf was completely wrong.
Great food. I've never ordered anything from LaLucha that I didn't love.
The restaurant itself is very well-designed and has great ambiance. The service is very cheerful and efficient. The food was good overall, but the dumplings were much too salty and garlicky and I found it odd that the blackened catfish was just a plate of catfish with nothing else. Also, I specifically told them it was a birthday celebration and would have appreciated at least some mention of it for my daughter. Perhaps I'm too old to appreciate this restaurant, but I really don't get the concept of being reminiscent of the old San Jacinto Inn...I'm thinking the chef or owner may be too young to have ever gone there.
Decided at the last minute to try someplace new on a Saturday night. What a pleasant surprise. Loved it. Cool sophisticated but casual vibe. excellent service. Odd menu concoctions. Settled on Fried chicken and shrimp combo, outstanding. Some of the best juicy fried chicken in town. Great seasoning. Will be back for sure. Parking is a mess like every place in that corridor. Valet available next door at their TexMex cousin.
Service was exemplary, but it’s hard to overcome the fact the menu is overwhelmingly tilted to fried food, which we avoid.
We were able to make an easy reservation through Opentable and walked right to our table and able to order right away. Our drinks were good, food was delicious - especially the fried chicken. The menu had so many great specials on it, I told the waitress I wanted to eat all the opportunities. I would definitely go again. Everything was great.
Great birthday celebration. The roasted oysters, fried chicken, fried shrimp, fried oysters, deviled eggs and shrimp dumplings were delicious! Great wine and cocktails. Finished off with some soft serve for the bday girl and complementary bubbly. A great afternoon!
