   The service and food was excellent, they went out of their way to make sure my allergies were taken care of, even charge dish a bit. The venue makes it perfect.

   We had a really nice dinner last night! The highlight of the meal was a delicious watermelon gazpacho, recommended by our server. Steaks were cooked to perfection, side dishes were hot and tasty, and my cold glass of Sancerre hit the spot. I did feel bad for our server, who was sat with too many tables for one person to manage. He did an awesome job, though, and we never felt ignored. While the food was good, I was hoping for more of a “wow, this is the best food ever” experience considering the price of our meal. For that reason, we’d probably only return for a quick drink and not a full dinner.

   Solid choice but overpriced for the quality of the food. The croissant was malformed and the eggs were fine, but not amazing. I'd expect a bit more from a restaurant at this price point. There are other options on 14th Street (le Diplomate, for example) that are better.

   We arrived on time and the receptonist had trouble finding our reservation and someone to seat us upstairs. It was a birthday celebrtion, and the four of us were dressed formally and ready for a lovely evening in a beautiful art deco setting, The young man who was to seat us took us to the first table at the top of the stairs adjacent to the open bar (no table cloth, middle of the room). We asked for a table in the quieter side area with table cloths and were able to sit there. The venue is lovely. Our waiter had an attitude the minute he came to the table, and it did not improve throughout the evening. Somehow we ended up ordering everthing for dinner at the same time . We waited and waited for drinks and then the appetizers came virtually at the same time. Oysters were excellent. Dinner was hard on the heels of the appetizers--we wanted to order wine but no waiter so we had to snag a bus boy. Steaks were outstanding. Lobster was appalling. Had to wait to order desserts; desserts not at all what I expected in term or quality or French variety. Happy Birthday was a small scoop of orange sherbert with a little chocolate "sign." Some other patrons were beautifully dressed for a fine restaurant, but they also allow the "jeans and t-shirt" crowd. Would I go back--yes, for drinks at the bar and light bites. The interior is worth it, but it is disappointing for a venue with some much potential to be a glamorous, elegant dining spot with perfectly trained staff for a bespoke evening out.

   Great service by Gloria!!!! Thanks Gloria for your fantastic attitude!!! Great person!! I was upset because they removed from the menu one of the best plates!!! Boeuf a la Bourguignon!!!! Terrible decision!!!!!!

   After my last visit to La Grande Boucherie left me disappointed, I was honestly on the fence about ever returning. But to their credit, the management reached out and offered me a voucher, and they were extremely persistent about wanting to make things right. That’s the kind of customer service you hope for when things go wrong. I decided to give them another shot and made a lunch reservation for Saturday with my best friend. I’m so glad I did. This visit was exactly what I expect from a restaurant of this caliber. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was as beautiful as ever, and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly or attentive. It felt like they genuinely cared about turning my experience around, and it made a huge difference. I really appreciate the effort they put in to make sure I’d come back, and I’m happy to say they absolutely delivered this time. I’ll definitely be returning again. This is what true customer service looks like.

   So, second time at La Grande, experience was not as good. First, the appetizers were the best part of the meal. The server was good and then I ordered a cognac that I had the first time-which was a great experience. This time I was served the same cognac in the wrong glass, it was flat-and kind of ruined the experience.
