   My wife and I have literally been going to La Gare for 40 years, and have known both generations of family ownership. For 40 years, we have enjoyed the great food, great service, lovely ambience, all at a great price. Where else can you find a restaurant that includes soup, salad, and your main course for one low price. We usually opt for table-side Caesar salad made right in front of you. Delicious! We can't say enough good things about Jackie & Roger having found a way to be able to keep La Gare serving the delicious food they serve to Sonoma County with the same great service, year after year. They are "the best" around!!

   Exceptional meal for the two of us. Started with asparagus soup, then caesar salad made tableside. The Halibut was great and the beef tenderloin was so tender that you could cut it with a dull fork (yes I did say fork). We will be back again and again.

   We celebrated our 40th anniversary with an absolutely spectacular meal. The service was impeccable right from the greeting at the front door. Our server was just attentive enough not too much. And the food was delicious. It’s lovely to go to a restaurant these days that actually doesn’t serve everything à la carte. We had a yummy soup a light salad and Perfectly cooked steak and prime rib dinners desserts were fantastic. I had crème brûlée and my husband had the sticky toffee pudding. And they brought us this beautiful chocolate mousse for our anniversary. We will definitely be back.

   La Gare is a timeless slice of Switzerland in the heart of Santa Rosa. We have been going there for quite a few years, and nothing has changed, which is oddly comforting.

   We were celebrating my daughter’s birthday and I was disappointed with the food tonight I’ve been going there for years for any special occasions . Food was excellent most of the time , not tonight. The New York steak looked so sad and the vegetables weren’t fresh . Maybe they changed the different chef than last year. There were no birthday treat after dinner like they used to do . Probably won’t be back for a while.

   Host, server, waitstaff all greeted us, were very friendly and professional. Food was delicious, restaurant very pretty and cozy inside. We can’t wait to return and dine outside!

   Had a wonderful birthday dinner for my wife. Food was excellent and service was friendly and attentive. We had a corner booth and conversation was delightful given the low overall noise level being low. The perfect choice for a special dinner.

   LaGare is consistently good. All of the food is well prepared and tasty. You can always count on a good meal. That being said, it's not going to "wow" you with some amazing dish. Their menu never seems to change and the "special" is always baked salmon. Free corkage Mondays are a plus! I like LaGare a lot but there are other restaurants that I go to for a truly special dining experience.

   The food is excellent, service is always superb and I love the atmosphere. It can be full of noise at times though.

    Always enjoy dinner at LaGare! From the food to the service to the ambiance and beyond they have it down. The family celebrated Easter there this year what a wonderful experience for all. Thank you Roger and Jaquie for keeping your family legacy going strong
