The lamb and steak were tough. The rest of the food was excellent. Great service and atmosphere.
Great food, exceptional customer service. We have frequently dined here and expect to return on our next visit to Santa Clara. Excellent spot for civil conversation, business lunches, also for celebrations.
Good for business lunches in the Great America and Levi stadium area. Standard California food menu and good service
The salmon was nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked. The salad ingredients were very fresh.
We came for our Valentine’s Day dinner. La Fontana is inside the Hilton Santa Clara lobby. It’s more tailored for business lunch for people from the various tech companies nearby, not for an upscale dinner experience. That’s our expectation and that’s exactly what we found. We had a pris-fixed dinner for $55 each, including appetizer, main course and dessert. We are not impressed with the appetizers, crab cake and salad, but we liked the lamp and duck main courses, as well as the cheesecakes for dessert. The wine selection was OK, priced a little high. Service was OK but the servers seem a little rushed although the dinner crowd wasn’t large....
Overall, we were there for 1 1/2 hour and had a good experience.
No food for 2 hours ... bad food when arrived
It was Thanksgiving evening. It was not disclosed that it would only offer a few Thanksgivings items. Those items were not great. Had I known it, I would have gone somewhere else.
Convenient, comfortable, good lunch menu and tasty food. Good place for business lunch.
This restaurant located in the Hilton hotel is outstanding. Nearby freeways and Levi Stadium. Food is excellent. Good quality and variety. Service is superb! Evita and other staff efficient, helpful and friendly. I have many business meetings at this location. Highly recommended!
Good food and good service. Location was pretty convenient as well.
Although a bit pricey, the staff goes out of their way to see to your every need. The food is good.
Service was fantastic and food delicious. I held a business meeting there for a large party and the only complaint I have is that the staff kept rolling large trash bins and other things in the hallway next to our table. The rolling made such a ruckus it was hard to hear the conversation. They should put down mats on the marble floor to dampen the sound.
We went for a important business meal. The service was amazing. Truly five star. The noise was terrible due to a very loud wedding. We sat on the patio which was better but not pretty. It was still worth it because the food and service made up for it. I would very much go again.
My meal (shrimp capellini) was overcooked. The pasta was stuck together and not enough olive oil to toss. The rest of my group did enjoy their meals. Perhaps just an off dish.
Convenient location, decent selection and easy to go into and park.
The food here is quite good, but beware: what you read on the menu may not be what ends up on your plate. The restaurant decor is pleasant, but bland. There is no real ambience here. Service is excellent. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly.
The waitress brought the wrong order to someone in our group. She acted offended when we told her. Food was average at best.
All their dishes are tasty and presented well. I highly recommend the Fried Calamari!
Great Mother’s Day brunch, good food and nice activities for the kids will be back next year. I guess the only thing missing was breakfast potatoes.
Food was good but for the price I think there could have been more offered. I liked the service and the people were very nice. I would recommend it for brunch, it was nice.
We went to Mother's Day Brunch. Our table was pretty much ignored. We did not get refills on orange juice (we did not want mimosas) or water, and our plates were not cleared when we went back to the buffet for a second helping. We were seated at a table behind a building post so perhaps that was why we were not checked on. The food in the buffet was pretty good, but no eggs benedict were offered. Few choices for desserts compared to other brunches we have experienced. There were cute balloon sculptures near the buffet tables, which made the area festive. For the very expensive price (with tax and tip included it came to about $75 a person), we expected much more in terms of service and variety of food offerings.
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed their Easter brunch and are going back for mother's Day! Staff was outstanding, food was delicious and we loved the atmosphere. Great fun for children, face painting, photo booth, and the Easter Bunny too.
Friendly staff greets you by name if you have been there several times. Parking is so easy right on front of hotel. Quick service for business lunches. Ask for Greek salad with dressing on side.
Over priced
Coffee have to ask for refill
Bread I had to ask
Wine was serverved on like tasting 4z glass
Appetizer on on set menu was like 3z of salad and 2z of fish cake
Soup was great
Over priced 200$ for 2
We wee surprised to see the pre fixe menu... hadn't noticed that in the referral. Yet, the food was deelicious! Wait staff meticulously saw to our every need. Just a shot in the dark to try it and everything came up roses!!! Happy Valentine's Day again sweetheart!.
Great Valentines dinner. Maggie is awesome! Food was terrific.
Everything seemed pre-cooked. People were nice though.
Husband and I had a wonderful Valentine's dinner. It was our first time eating her and would highly recommend it. The Manager Roger and waiter Noel took excellent care and made us feel very welcomed. All the staff was pleasant and the food/wine was excellent. Will definitely return.
Great meal. Maggie was wonderful server! Really enjoyed restaurant.
Picked for the convenience of location but the food was nothing special. Service was good.
Exceptional service and wait staff. Food is creative and very good.
Good place for lunch. Never to crowded
For cocktails, we had a cucumber refresher and Toki Fashion. The drinks are a little on the sweet side and we were not able to detect any actual spirits (Hendricks and Toki Whisky were expected). Besides that, presentation and flavor were fine.
The sesame seared ahi was too fishy for my wife and a little spicy for me, but the seaweed salad that accompanied it was good. Nice presentation. The Roasted carrot soup was excellent. I ordered the cowboy steak, medium rare. For a 16 oz bone-in ribeye, it was a thin slice...well under 1 inch thick with a light pink center instead of the warm red center I was expecting. A little fatty, but flavor and texture were good.
The dining room environment was nothing special...standard hotel restaurant layout. Noise levels were lower than average, in part because so few other diners were present. Overall, the dining experience was okay, but we've definitely had more enjoyable ~$250 meals elsewhere.
Excellent for the price and convenience inside Hilton. Had a great team dinner before convention event.
Great food and outstanding customer services
Was La Fontana up to the Thanksgiving dinner challenge? Sort of. The prix fixe menu was limited, which is fine, but …. The arugula and shaved brussels sprouts salad was dressed like cole slaw, which was not very appealing and not something the menu hinted at. The turkey and prime rib were fine, but shared the same mashed potato and dressing sides (although one had green beans and the other had brussels sprouts). Desserts were accompanied by a very pleasant vanilla ice cream, one of the higher points. Service was mostly good, but perhaps because of Thanksgiving scheduling, not top notch: a server brought entrées to our table when we were still eating our soup and salad, but it turned out that there were not actually ours, they were meant for another table.
We had a great Thanksgiving Lunch. The food was fabulous. Three of us had the pork loin and the other meal was Prime Rib. We loved the warm bread. It was served with butter and an olive tapenade. All sides were great. The desserts were individual torts. And the coffee was great (usually something that is not always expected). But what really impressed us was the manager came by a couple of times and the server came by numerous times to see how things were going, or if we needed anything. It was a great Thanksgiving Meal.
I love this place, cozy, food is good service is good!
We were somewhat disappointed. The restaurant was not busy, yet service was still slow. The ambiance was not very good, even for a hotel based restaurant. It was also overly bright for an evening dinner. I don't think we will go again.
The menu is very limited. Food and service was ok. If not staying at hotel I would not go.
