   Food was amazing. We didn’t have a great server unfortunately. We weren’t greeted for 15 min after being seated and they didn’t bring us water. After waiting, my partner finally got up and went to the bar to get water for us. She minimally checked on us and was awkward in asking for our order (i.e., came up to us and said nothing, just stood there waiting for us to start our order). It was my partner’s birthday so I expected better service having notified them that we were there to celebrate.

   I decided to take my girl out for dinner at La Conde, since the first time we went a couple months ago everything was outstanding, but today it was very poor. We got seated at the very corner in a small table the server could barley fit to take the order, the service was really poor it looked as if all the attention was to the big parties. Food took about 40 minutes to be deliver to the table, we only got a hamburger and 2 tacos, and it took that long. The worst part is that the food wasn’t even hot, so I wonder if they just forgot about our table. Over all the experience was really bad we were very uncomfortable that when we got our food I asked for the check because we just wanted to leave. Was really hoping for a nice experience like the first time we went, but after today I don’t think we are going back any time soon.

   Great service and food. Beautiful space and love their cocktails. Abraham our server was very friendly and down to earth. He made our dining experience very nice and special. The manager and chef also helped out during our dinner and provided excellent service.

   Ordered 2 of the same drink and they came out completely different - taste and presentation. One came in a skull glass, and the other in a regular glass. Ordered the shower burger, and the cheese that was supposed to be melted, came out congealed and presented as a gross glop on top of my burger. Not worth the hype

   Great place great food but dude went to box up my girls food at end of night and never came back!! Waitress couldn't find him, that was steak and Mac n cheese which is expensive for the steak so that was annoying otherwise great spot I'd come back...but box up my OWN food lol

   Food and drinks are a little over priced but not bad the presentation is great very picture worthy and the venue looks awesome. Like that they have valet as downtown got no parking ever!

    Still had to wait an additional 30 min even though we had a reservation. The service was horrible and we had to continuously ask other servers for water. Waited over an hour for our food and when we got it, it was all cold.

    Made reservations and got seated right away, within a few minutes server brought us water then forgot about us. We waited for 10-15 minutes before getting drinks and ordering food and that is after we let the host know. Food came fairly quick, appetizers were good. We had the mignon skewers and Condé ceviche, we also added a taco which was good but way overpriced for being just 1. My husband ordered rib eye, was not a rib eye it was more of a flank steak and not necessarily medium cooked as he asked for it, it was medium well. I got the fish, nice buttery sauce and good salad and came with rice on the side but brought me mashed potatoes. Apparently they changed a few things on the menu but did not let me know. Mashed potatoes was not the best side for the fish, wish they would have told me at ordering or given me options. Overall it is more of a fun drinks and appetizer kind of night, not necessarily a sit down dinner place.

    Their steak is really good and I loved the appetizers/salads highly recommend this place for a special occasion or just a girls night out!!! Let's not forget about the drinkssssss not only was the presentation impeccable, the drinks were so good!

    I went on a solo Valentine’s date and this was my first time at La Conde. I always saw videos online but the experience in person exceeded my expectations. I’ll be back. 5 out of 5 stars. Highly Recommend.

    We were looking for mexican food and this restaurant came up. But the food isnt mexican - its definitely miscategorized by OpenTable. They have one dish with taco's but most of the other dishes are American. Food is OK - nothing spectacular. Service is horrible - between ordering food and getting served we waited almost 40minutes - worse is that the server came by 3 times - 1st to introduce himself and take the drink order, second to come and take the food order and third to ask if we wanted desert and bring the check. No one ever came to ask us how the food was or if we needed anything else.

    There's no menu, (not everyone has smart phones and would rather hold a real menu in their hand...not some ipad.) The service was exceedingly slow and the orders arrived in spurts. We won't go back.

    Everything was great and outstanding except for two things, it was a little loud inside where we had to speak louder than normal to even hear each other at our tables and even ourselves at some points. And we feel our waiter may not have been that knowledgeable about the menu options but other than that everything else was great. Food tasted great and the ambiance was very nice and different.

    Horrible experience! Our waiter was also a bartender, so he had to go back and forth between serving tables and making drinks. He disappeared after we placed our drink order. We waited for almost half an hour, until we reached out to another waiter (Alejandro)that was passing by. He was nice enough to help us and he took our order. We waited almost an hour after that to get our food and it was super cold. We spoke to the manager and we witnessed her go off on our second waiter right in front of our table. She seems to be very unprofessional. They gave us a complementary appetizer due to the inconvenience, but then noticed that it was on our check. There were additional things we didn’t order that were also on the check. The food isn’t good, the service is terrible, and there seems to be no organization. If they were short staffed, I would understand some of the flaws, but there happened to be plenty of people working. I will not be going back. If I may also add, we were there to celebrate my friends birthday, and there was absolutely no acknowledgment of that whatsoever. I reminded our waiter upon arrival, but that seemed to mean nothing. The only pleasent part of our experience was when we had Alejandro helping us! So I would like to give a shout-out to him!

    Beware this is night club vibe and good food is not their jam. I urge you to pass on this restaurant unless you enjoy pounding club music while you dine, lots of yelling from other tables drinking shots and nearly inedible food. Our party of 8 was seated 30 minutes late for dinner. Service was very slow and our food was the worst starting with a cold head of cauliflower (was supposed to be grilled) and shrimp that was so so. Dinner entrees we’re NOT FRESH. My $15 premium beef taco was cold, grisly meat and woody pineapple. Tuna rolls were sent back as they had very little tuna and not fresh. On a positive note the bartenders make cool drinks (kind of gimmicky with dry ice and the serve in a box) but very expensive and taste bad. I wanted to love this place but it was a huge disappointment.

    Walk into the restaurant their spacing is very small and crowded, felt like you were dining with other couples/families. The noise is obnoxiously loud, head a headache within 15 minutes. We ordered food it took 30 minutes to come out and was not good. Server admitted that their cooks are not good and do not listen. On top of all this, they didn’t offer to give us free appetizers or anything for the trouble. Only go here for drinks and to pre game before partying!!!

    The esthetics of the place was great, but the food was a let down. The meat was very dry and chewy, sides were cold and drinks were very small and odd tasting. The server stood at our table while we were looking at the drinks menu and made us feel pressured and rushed to order.

    The vibe doesn’t match the prices. Very loud (nightclub loud), so loud it makes the people sitting at the bar yell just to talk. They brought out a lobster that was cooked on top and completely raw on the bottom. They remade it but it took 20 minutes. One of us was all done eating while the other one sat and watched. Ended up taking it to go which is never as good. We were there for our anniversary and I even put that on the reservation. They sat us next to the server station so we were bumped into the whole time. Didn’t turn out as expected. Won’t visit again.

    First and last time dining at this restaurant. 1. Bartender working the bar didn’t know what a Vesper was; served a brown drink with no lemon garnish. 2. The waitress at our table was super slow and very hard to understand. She initially took my drink order and then walked away without asking anyone else’s order. Then when she came back, we had to ask for the wine menu. 3. We ordered oysters as a starter and the waitress replied, “I don’t think we have those anymore. We have scallops though”. 4. We ordered the USDA Prime Rib Eye, Branzino, Wagyu steak, Sushi, Ceviche, Brussels, and Truffle fries. This was the worst Rib Eye I’ve ever tasted. It was tough and flavorless served with whole garlic to use on the steak but it wasn’t spreadable. Sushi - not even formed tightly into a roll, served with battered greasy shrimp on top and slathered in sauce. Brussels - salty. Truffle fries - dry and cold. The $80 Wagyu, Branzino, and ceviche were the only items that were satisfactory, yet not spectacular. 5. Food was served all at once. No arrangement from the servers. They literally were just pushing plates on to the table and then walked away. 6. We were missing a setting so had to get up to ask for one since our waitress was nowhere in sight. 7. The ambience is intended to be upscale but the service kills that notion. Also, while trying to convey your order in an already noisy, uncomfortable setting, the DJ unexpectedly cranks up the music. The restaurant lights dim down so that only the lights at each table are lit. A belly dancer comes into the dining area with fire on her head and hands. So, we’re sitting in a room where we can’t see because there’s no light at our table, and the music is blaring so we can’t converse. Waitress was inconvenienced in bringing us a light. 8. We didn’t ask for dessert menu or boxes for leftovers. 9. Recommend they take lessons from STK or Cowboy Star on being an excellent steak house with stellar service in downtown San Diego.

    This place seems half restaurant half club. The music is way too loud to have a conversation with anyone at the table and the service was sub par. Perhaps it was just our waitress but we waited longer than tables around us who got sat after us to get our order taken and delivered. The food was OK not bad but not earth shattering. If I come back it’ll be to have drinks because they cater more to people who order drinks than a regular dining experience.
