La Cave Wine Bar & Boutique is a local, independently owned restaurant that provides New American Cuisine in a freshly remodeled space. Our cuisine combines fresh local ingredients and classic American dishes, with International flavors, flair, herbs and spices. We offer sushi grade fish, USDA prime cuts of beef, lamb, chicken, pork, and several vegetarian options as well. Our wine selections are global, comprehensive and very carefully chosen to render the perfect compliments to your dining experience. We are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but we are also well known for our tapas, or small plates, and our wine flights. Our Social Hour is daily from 4pm - 6pm. We hold our Wine Tastings in our PDR each 1st Wednesday of the month, and our 4 course Wine Dinners, the last Friday of each month, with each month featuring a different wine region. We are happy to be located within the Sheraton Denver West, and are sure you will think differently about THIS hotel restaurant!

Beautifully remodeled Private Dining Room, with flat screen hook-up capability and individual sound system that can play music from your iPod if you choose. This room has a wine and wood motif, with rich warm carpeting, ample adjustable lighting, B & W photos of vineyards and wine, a wall of cross-cut Rocky Mountain blue stained Pine logs, and wine barrels. Privacy is available with a sanded glass door and privacy screens along windows. With the screens pulled to the sides, a 960 bottle capacity wine display his revealed to create an eye catching ambiance.

I took my family there for a late Easter brunch. The kids loved the Easter bunny that greeted them and there were plenty of choices from the buffet for them to eat. The prime rib was especially good. Service was excellent. The visit was definitely worth it and we will eat there again. My wife was very interested in the extensive wine list and was happy to learn about the regular wine tastings which occur at La Cave.

This was one of the worst dining experience that we have ever had. All that I can come up with is that their kitchen must have had a catastrophic failure that evening. Our waiter was terrible and not the least bit interested in ensuring a good memorable evening. After waiting for 2 hours for our food, getting our water refilled by another waiter only after asking, and receiving food that was sub par, we were pretty perplexed. We were not. Barged for our main courses, but the entire experience has left a bad taste for this restaurant. This is the first Open Table restaurant disaster.

Nice atmosphere, pleasant staff, meal was marginal, beef was grizzly and not prepared as requested for 3 of us then replaced the green veggie with a leak. The servers knew nothing of the on-line advertised 4 course prefix.

Hostess was great, server polite but not super friendly. The other server was much more personable. Brunch fair was standard and pleasant. Nothing special or worth a breakfast date. Might try a wine tasting and see if a different time of day and meal will be different.

The restaurant was not very busy. The greatest promptly and got us her table. Because someone was in training we ended up having three people help us. The trainee was a little nervous and they spend just a little more time at her table then necessary but that is how training goes :-). The duck was pretty good, same with the lamb. Nothing amazing but it was good and prices were OK.

I made a last minute reservation here for Christmas night because this was my first Christmas away from family and I wanted to treat myself to a wonderful evening of good food and good wine. When we arrived the host/sommelier, I assume, greeted us and took us to our table. He was very polite and I was excited for a good dinner. Upon meeting our waiter I had noticed that things were a bit off. My two other friends and I are all between 22-25 and could tell that the waiter wrote us off because of that. Two of us are in the service industry and tip well especially because its the holidays I leave extra. But this service was nothing to write home about. Our waiter neglected us and paid much more attention to his other tables. When asking for bread, that every other table had gotten, we were met with a response of "I'll see what I can do," and nothing more. For someone who had gone out to dinner expecting to drop a good amount of money on herself I was extremely let down and offended. The food was good and the overlook was wonderful but I wouldn't go back for the fact that I was judged before the evening ever started. On any night that would be a sucky part of service, but with it being Christmas it made it even worse.

We went with a group of Christmas Eve dinner because it had been so good last year. Unfortunately, my meal was poorly cooked. They took it back and tried to fix it, but that's never optimal. The dessert was pasty tasting and not very good. Others in the group had better luck. I still think it's a good restaurant, but too pricey to accept mediocre food.
