La Cascada Table and Bar
We had a great dinner with wine. Service was friendly and attentive.
There wasn’t too many dessert options and they forget to add plastic ware in my to go desserts. Other than that it we had a wonderful time.
Crowded and tables were ridiculously close together. For a romantic evening on a special occasion, it failed miserably. Food was ok but not excellent for a tab just under $200.00
The food was actually very good. The service, however was terrible. After being seated for 20 minutes, no one had greeted us, poured water or taken our order. Tables that were seated after us we receiving appetizers, so I finally went back to the desk and asked. Apparently, our table had not been assigned to anyone. Amanda became our waitress and I'm pretty sure it was her first day waitressing. After an hour, we had not received our appetizers. Additonally, it took another hour for the remainder of our meals to arrive. Not bad, but no refills on water or drinks. Our meals were lukewarm when they did arrive. They did "warm" our filets, but pretty sure just microwaved the plate as potatoes were dried out.
The worst thing was Amanda hair!!-- her hair was long, stringy and filthy. It was hanging down (not in a pony, bun or even half-up) and she kept running her hands through it and then handling our plates, etc. I realize it was a busy night, but everything but the filets should have been preplated and easy to pick up from the kitchen and deliver to the table. Be glad that I paid and did still tip 12%, my husband would not have tipped at all!!
Great food, great service, wonderful atmosphere! If you a unique experience try Tapatio Springs.
Ordered roasted vegetables with risotto. It said nothing about cheese that I saw. Full of cheese and about a tablespoon of vegetables. Very disappointing.
The views were beautiful!! Food was amazing and service was wonderful.
We arrived early but we were treated so professionally. We had a fantastic server. I wish I could remember her name. Great cocktails.
Outstanding! Food and service was exceptional!
Went for a birthday dinner and it was exceptional! The food was delicious and our waiter went above and beyond to make it a special evening!
The service was amazing, the scenery, drinks, food, staff was very attentive of my accommodations. Would definitely go back. Beautiful place, to get away and relax.
Steaks were fabulously tender. A great birthday celebration for my dad!
The food was great and the value was outstanding. Our service was slow, not the wait time from the kitchen, but the service at the table took quite some time. It wasn’t testable service, but not attentive service. The location was beautiful and the food was great. I appreciated that the offered half portions for most of their main dishes. Not a super long drive from the RIM area, but the road to the resort is dark and would have been helpful for the resorts signs to have a little more light on them.
Outstanding service & food was delish.
I had the Dr pepper brisket Mac,nice & spicy.
Hubby had the Au Jus French Dip & also was to die for.
First time back after rebuilding. The new building and decor are refreshing. The service was excellent. The food is good and selections are predictable.
Highlight was the fire burger. Prime rib and baby back ribs were meh. Chicken fried steak was not good. Probably not worth the drive from San Antonio.
Wonderful service! We really enjoyed our dinner and the atmosphere! Highly recommend.
Bravo!! Open again and better than ever! Beautiful new dining room and bar. Wait staff on Christmas Day was attentive and seemed genuinely pleased to have up there. 2 thumbs up!!
The Fire Burger is the best hamburger I have had in recent memory. The service is excellent, the setting and decor are first class. Prices are reasonable. Fantastic overall!!
To start - we were a little disappointed that it was our 30th anniversary (which I included in my reservation) and we were treated as any normal customer. A special table was not set aside, which I expected (maybe I shouldn't have). We were seated in a booth by the kitchen.
Our waitress Juanita was outstanding! She was friendly but not too gushy. She was prompt with our food and made sure we were pleased. She also included a free dessert when she found out it was our anniversary.
We both ordered filet mignon medium rare and they both came out medium to medium-well. We didn't say anything. The steaks were very good.
Overall we were very pleased with all the meals we had at La Cascada, will definitely be back and will recommend to our friends and family.
The Slow Roasted Prime Rib was out of this world juicy, moist and delicious. Chef Gene Moss made my husband's birthday extra special when he brought out a piece of cheesecake to him. Definitely a new find for us to enjoy time and time again!
Our 47th wedding anniversary dinner:
1. Food took to long to arrive
2. Food was barely fair for the price
3. Dining area loud with much reverberation
4. Throughout our meal there was a person sweeping the floor with a noisy sweeper
5. Not a calm, enjoyable dining experience
6. Dining area cold and harsh
Or reservation was for 7 PM. We were the only people dining at the time but....cleaning up around our table several hours before closing time....not acceptable. This was our second time dining at La Cascada. The first was about a month after opening. It was not a pleasant experience and the food was subpar. We are members and wanted to give it another chance.....failed again. Seems that you definitely need someone to help with menu, food preparation and creating a warm, soothing dining experience. It would also help to have the waitstaff be a bit more experienced or polished. I think you definitely need to call in Gordon Ramsay!!!!
Very promising. But falls short in value (although I’m glad that we opted for half portions) and taste. The steamed rice Accompanying a chicken dish was undercooked and the vegetable risotto was bland. We did have lunch and breakfast on other occasions. Breakfast is better but pricier. The rack of ribs and chili fries for lunch did deliver.
Great food, service, and atmosphere. I highly recommend the George’s Rose cocktail. It is outstanding.
Food was amazing. Great service. Great remodel. Easy to make reservation
Excellent food and service! Will definitely be back!
We sat outdoors because my daughter, who’s birthday is coming up on Sunday, loves the outdoors. There was a beautiful fire. I had the prime rib and it was amazing! My daughter had cheese pizza and thought it was amazing as well. Great experience!
Very disappointed in the food and service. Took 20 min. For 1 cocktail from bar. We ordered country steak, my husband's was just ok. My steak couldn't be cut by me or my husband.
Waiter brought me a new steak that cut just fine, but was frozen in the center.
Side dishes were tiny, but were ok.
Cheese cake was very good, tiny, but good.
Service was super slow when restaurant wasn’t that busy. Waiter appeared new and not familiar with everything on the menu. Prices are not competitive with other restaurants in the area. Food was great.
Beautiful view of the golf course. Comfortable hill country style. A solid breakfast menu and food was very tasty. Would recommend.
Unfortunately La Cascada is not there yet. It is hard to screw up breakfast, but their buffet was nothing short of a disaster. Nice place and environment, but short on the food quality.
The new facility is beautiful and the food great. Band was two loud for the Cibolo room.
We realize they are working the kinks out after just opening, but the noise level was HORRIBLE! They need to get some acoustic help asap! We were immediately escorted to our table but then sat there for too long before someone greeted us and got our drink order, there seemed to be a confusion on who was serving our table. Once they figured it out, Mac our server was awesome, very personable and helpful.
Food was great and the service was outstanding! We’ll all day definitely be back.
A new restaurant and would try again. Out of items on wine list. Roasted vegetables were not roasted. Steamed would fit the prep.
Enjoyed the food and setting. We dined on the patio. The tables on the patio were very poor quality, grease soaked/stained and were not steady which made dining difficult.
The food was very good. The Ossobuco was excellent. The small strawberry salad was very small but the flavors were good. The side of fire roasted veggies was extremely small, but again very tasty. The small salad and side of veggies were a little pricey for what you get. The ossobuco was a very good value. Overall, the experience was very good.
Very great atmosphere. Live country music and great tasting food with a spicey twist. Cant get much better in the south!
It would have been a 5 Star dinner had I got the reservation I requested. Our reservation was for outside on the patio and when we got there they had no room and seated us inside where it was noisy and we were unable to enjoy music.
The dinner reservation was set and table ready per the reservation. Wait staff and hostess staff seemed to still be in training mode. This was our first visit back since the rebuild. We love the resort and atmosphere. The cost could be a little lower.
We will be back.
Great service and food. Great new Country Club and restaurant. Keep up the good work.
