La Caille Restaurant

This was our first visit and I guarantee it will not be our last! The restaurant was really nice and the staff were optimistically friendly! We will return soon!
It was one of the nicest restaurants we’ve ever been to.
Beautiful inside and out. Fantastic service and the food was phenomenal.
Not as intimate a setting for a romantic restaurant. It was nice to walk the grounds but the food definitely felt overpriced. It should indicate $$$$ on Opentable. The inside is in need of an overhaul.
It wonderful restaurant Hidden away in Sandy Utah. Sending food at same service and outstanding Ambience
Great special occasion restaurant, especially around Christmas. Very expensive, food is good, but not as good as Log Haven and other restaurants in the area. Plan to spend $100+ pp.
The food for New Year's eve was not worth $150 per person. You would think that a better selection for this special evening would be more appealing. The bass was very fishy and did not taste fresh. The stake at medium rare was tough as cardboard and equally tasteless. I realize that this is a French/Belgian menu of items but at the end of the day it is also supposed to be filling not just presented like supposed works of art. I think my youngest grandchild would have left hungry. Really missed the mark by a large margin. The menu and taste of the food would be beaten by most other higher end restaurants such as Ruth Chris, Flemings', Bambara, etc. Compared to itself from past years this is a big step down. Tell your chef its not all about presentation-which is a part-it's also behind serving a delicious meal.
The celebration afterward, which was supposed to be a dance, was also a big disappointment. The room was small and the music was not suited for the clientele you try to attract-at least not us. Doubt that many teenagers attended the evening with you. Punk and other hip-hop music will never be replaced by a good quintet or similar offering.
If your aim is to attract the 20 somethings it would have worked but for those who spend $150 per plate this is an almost failure . If it wasn't for my beautiful date on her birthday it would have been a worse than a failure. I give you an F.
Please stop and re-evaluate who you are trying to be and who you are trying to attract. The beautiful setting demands a better finish to the night!
The food was very subpar...we have been going here for over 40 years and the food has fluctuated from good to bad during that time. The New York Strip steak was suppose to be Kobe Beef and it was far from it, I would bet that it was at best a bad strip steak. It was tough with no flavor, the sides were basic. The Appetizers were good, small portions but good. The dessert was very common and not what I would expect on New Years Eve. The servers were very good, the room they put us in was on the 3rd floor and very hot, multiple people complained and moved tables. They know the room is hot but they still sit people in this area. Overall not a good experience and not worth the money.
Service was horrible. Food took forever to come out, not the chef’s fault but I’m pretty sure it was under the heat lamp for a while. Server came by to check on us once during the meal and they forgot to bring my drink and I had to remind them several times. They said they were “busy,” and I’m a waitress I know busy. I don’t believe the servers has sections as they were all over the place in the restaurant which caused disorganization and confusion.
Although the service is great, the cost to value is so-so.
Wonderful service from start to finish. We had particular dietary needs, one GF free and one no Shellfish. The chef prepared a fresh GF bread for the one individual. Then when the chef sent out the Amuse-bouches for our table, he made certain one was shellfish free. We were a party of four and each of us ordered different entrees. Each of us thought our dish was awesome. Ambiance of the restaurant is lovely. They are very pricey, particularly in the wine selections. However, we expect to make this an annual tradition.
Dining room and atmosphere was great. Staff was helpful and helped us coordinate last-minute change on reservation. However was not notified that there's only fixed menu on that night. Food was good in general, but house made wine was sub-par (sour and taste more like juice than wine). Service was okay, mixed up appetizer and entree order for different people a couple of times. When charging the card, gratitude was added on top of tax, and the first charge was on a different table incorrectly.
We went for Christmas Eve dinner after booking through Open Table. There was no indication that there was special pricing for this meal. The bill was nearly $600 for 3 people and we only ordered two diet cokes for drinks. This is a beautiful restaurant and the food was good but nowhere near good enough to demand that kind of cost! There needs to be clearer warnings of special event pricing!
They meal was prefixed and we were not informed beforehand that is was prefixed. It was so I but very average for the sticker price
Had a great time. Tremendous service
The service was awful. This is very unusual for La Caille. The lettuce in my salad was brown. My friends meat was so overcooked it was not edible. Incredibly disappointed. We have always loved La Caille, but this was not a good experience at all. It was too expensive, the service was sub-par, the food was average at best.
Waiter and service were excellent. Most of the food was very good. Pickled cranapples?? they were odd. The shrimp in all 3 seafood dishes were overcooked and chewy. We expect more for the price.
Our server, Cade, was terrific. The hostess and car valet were very friendly and personable. The food overall was very good, especially the carmel and pecan coated complimentary croissants (best we have ever had). If the price point was a lower, we would frequent more often.
Wonderful dining experience! Especially love coming during the holidays! Our server, Bailey was excellent!
Superior ambiance, especially during the holidays. However for the prices the food should be exceptional, but it wasn’t. Other restaurants have better food for half the price. This was the consensus for all six in our party.
I feel that there has been minimal upkeep on the place and it is in desperate need of being redecorated. The decor is outdated and the Christmas decorations are appalling! Very dated and cheap quality! I was very surprised that a place that is supposed to be a high end French restaurant would display such cheap decor! They definitely need to hire a professional!
Our Book Club enjoyed our Christmas Brunch at LaCaille, and it was simply elegant.
AMAZING!!! My son and I had such a great time on our “last date night” before our new baby comes! Everyone was so nice and accommodating. We can’t wait to come back again!
Brunch was great and our server Gustavo was amazing!
The atmosphere is fabulous. The staff is wonderful and the food is exceptional. We had a magnificent time. It was a truly great treat!
We went to have a nice night out with friends and it didn’t disappoint. We had a wonderful time, food was delicious and service was great. Price is steep but you are paying more for the experience.
Loved it! Our second year birthday outing for my wife! The food is amazing!
The place it’s just amazing. The food superb. The service, out of this world, our server Grayson was fantastic. He deserves big tips for sure.
We went there for brunch, food was pricy but it was just okay, I'm sure we can find restaurants with better food and even cheaper. I had wild mushroom omelet but the mushroom actually is the one that I always buy from Asian Market, not "wild". We had elk sausage and it tasted like the sausages we bought at Smiths. But the scene was beautiful. So I give 3 stars.
I had been to this restaurant 45 years ago when it was called Quail Run, same place and owners . I live in Illinois and was surprised it was still there. What a great place. Food excellent , atmosphere over the top and people very nice!
Such a nice place to eat!
The entire experience was 5 star from the valet to the front desk staff. Our table attendant was always there with water just at the right time. And our waitress exceeded our expectations at every turn. We can't wait to return to this magical place !
La Caille was definitely one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. From the moment one arrives and welcomed by the friendly Valet staff until you taste the last bite of the exquisite and beautiful dessert, you feel like being treated like royalty! Our waitress was very attentive and informative. The food was absolutely delicious. The setting and views through the windows are beautiful. If you want a very special experience paired with delicious food and great staff - this is the restaurant to go to. We will be back for sure!
The experience was unmatched, the food was very good, the complimentary dishes were appreciated, and the entire place was a true winter-wonderland.
Absolutely amazing. Worth every penny.
For the price, it wasn’t the best value. The food was very good. Other than some of it came out cold so we had to request warmer food to come.
Our server was good, but should have a better knowledge of the wines on the menu. Should also bring the drinks out first. Our server was slow on our table, compared to others around ours. Otherwise it was very nice.
Dinner with my sons and their wives.
Great restaurant m! It’s a splurge but totally worth it!
Execellent experience all around!
