Great brunch spot! The grounds make a good walk for after the meal but overall 10/10. The price may be a bit steep but the service and food make the prices well worth it.
We had a bridal brunch on the patio and it was wonderful. The grounds are stunning. Food and service were fabulous.
Food was amazing! Our server was lackluster. Couldn’t remember the specials, forgot to bring our basket of bread so we had to ask for it after our appetizer. She didn’t bring our dinner out and by the time she came back we were finished. Everything was still delicious but the service was disappointing for our Anniversary dinner and my husband’s first time there.
outrageously expensive; 1 veal chop $60; wine that sells for $40 A BOTTLE... $25 PER GLASS.
Service, however was terrific but the decor a bit tired looking
My partner and I really enjoyed the off menu items the chef offered due to fresh local produce and mushrooms being available. The variety of flavors in each dish was amazing. Our server, Meg, made the whole experience fantastic. She took good care of us and helped us navigate our options to choose just what we wanted. The walk through the grounds after was delightful and relaxing. We loved not feeling rushed but instead very welcomed.
The food was wonderful. No doubt it is a unique setting and ambience. Seems like one pays a premium for this....just not sure it is justified.
What a magical place! The brunch was delicious and felt as if it was prepared by a French trained chef. We also did the wine tasting and we’re very impressed by the varietals grown on property. Meg provided five star service and was super knowledgeable about the wine and food. We even enjoyed a visit by one of the resident peacocks on property. Can’t wait to come back!
I love La Callie
Haven't lived in Utah for 15 years. Although I had been to LaCaille over 25 times, this was the first time in 15 years. It was all the good things I remembered and more. Still my favorite restaurant. Wish I lived closer to it.
The setting is exceptional, the staff friendly and wanting to serve, and the food is always excellent. Hard to ask for anything more.
We had a lovely time here. It is pricey, but we felt the food was worth it for the quality and for the overall experience. Everything was delicious and presented with great care and service. We enjoyed a walk on the grounds and seeing the ponds, vineyard, mountain views, and peacocks. We will definitely be going again.
Absolutely outstanding in every way! The hanging flower baskets and lamp posts at the gated entrance sets the tone perfectly for the charming manor that awaits at the end of the red brick drive. The food and service follow suit! Brunch is a “must do” in SLC!
Anniversary. The food was superb as was the service.
La Caille was a beautiful experienced the grounds were breathtaking and the food was delicious. It was pricey which was expected, so definitely something for a special occasion.
The setting is fabulous and the food is as good as it gets. This place is amazing and perfect for special occasions.
This was the most beautiful restaurant I have ever had the opportunity to visit. The staff was wonderful and the ambience was outstanding
I would stay clear until they can hire more wait staff and open up their patio dining. Right now its just not worth the enormous cost for the less than impeccable service. Don't expect anything if you have a special occasion apparently that is a thing of the past...apparently impeccable service is a thing of the past as well unless you are fortunate enough to get certain waiters. The food was quite good but not good enough to over come the poor service.
Beautiful night, excellent food and service
The grounds were beautiful but not well maintained as in the past. Food wasn't worth the cost, service just mediocre, lighting was dark w/one little candle on the table & couldn't see menu. Overall a bad dining experience for all six of us. Not the same restaurant as in the past!
The grounds are amazing, indisputable! But the rest was a bit of a let down for me.
The receptionist was cold and on the lower end of friendliness.
The ambient music was repetitive and in a loop, and they had French music mixed with Brazilian 🤷 …. Kind of confusing.
The Irony was they only served Italian sparkling water and for dessert they have tiramisu…
The quality and presentation of the food was optimal, but in odd numbers…. For instance, for 2 people they brought 3 rolls, and 7 escargot?
The cheese and meat tray were really good, and the Filet mignon was delicious and cooked to perfection…
They asked what the occasion was, but never once made it an out of the ordinary experience. The place really lacked a “welcome, we are glad you are here” feeling at every step.
But overall I don’t think I got the value of a $350 dinner experience for two.
I could’ve eaten the same items for a fraction of the price at other local restaurants. So I would suggest they either lower the price or step up the service and menu. It seems they rely too bravely in the grounds and the reputation. I wouldn’t recommend it at this point.
We had a great time celebrating my daughter's 16th birthday at La Caille. The food was delicious and we enjoyed walking around the beautiful garden and grounds.
The food tasted good. Definitely the best tasting filet mignon I've ever tasted. The service was fine. The value of cost in comparison to what you actually get is lacking. The scenery/grounds are beautiful.
If you don't mind paying large amounts of money for minimal amounts of good tasting food, this is your place.
Food was very good, but the coffee was beyond bad! Stale, sour and lukewarm - unacceptable in a reputable restaurant.
Grayson was fantastic, the food was outstanding and wine exquisite. We wil go back for other celebrations as soon as possible. What a lovely setting!
Very nice, we went for a 8 year anniversary. Perfect for the occasion
I have worked in the restaurant industry for 8 years and this was by far THE best meal my family and I have ever had. We ordered almost everything from the menu from the hors d'oeuvre soups and salads to the entree and deserts. Everything came out in a timely manner and the waitress was so attentive. The food was marvelous and the ambience of the dining room was elegant. Overall the evening was purely unforgettable.
I hope this was just an aberration: Between being seated and arrival of our entree, an hour & 40 minutes passed. The venue was not at all crowded. Also, in the absence of valet service, some parking guidance would be welcome
So amazing! This was a really great restaurant and the atmosphere and grounds were quite incredible.
Amazing ambiance and great food. Pricey but worth it.
Great food, great atmosphere. Definitely a great place to go for special occasions.
Beautiful location for the restaurant with well kept grounds with ponds, statues, and bridges, and a lovely french cottage feel inside and out. Loved our corner table. Our waiter was wonderful and the food was delicious. We had people at the table getting the rack of lamb, duck breast, lobster/scallop and everything was delicious. The lobster bisque was a tasty start and I really liked that they had a wine flight tasting option with 5 glasses. It was definitely a fancier and pricier night out (~$50-80/entree) but it was worth it for our special occasion!
The perfect spot for a special evening with your loved one. Romantic, quiet, special and the food is amazing
The views at this restaurant were amazing! The food was delicious! Definitely worth it!
We have been dining here for over 40 years. We moved out of state, but still keep returning !!! A total delight !!!!
It's been 21 years since I last ate here. Food was not as I remember. I'm sure dinner is still fantastic, but brunch was not consistent with their reputation this time. 3 of 4 different plates were overcooked. English muffins were burnt and egg yokes were all overcooked. I was very disappointed trying to impress my spouse on our anniversary.
Excellent service, beautiful space. Food wasn't my favorite, but I'd still recommend trying La Caille at least once or for special occasions.
Food was obviously expensive but worth it for the experience!
Meg was very informative and friendly. We were recently married and everyone congratulated us. We felt very welcomed.
Appetizers was good and delicious main dish average
It's quite expensive for what you get but the venue is very pretty, the staff is friendly, and the food is good. We had the escargot, lobster bisque, and duck breast. The wines were surprisingly good as well.
The food and service was excellent. But it is still very expensive.
