The health and safety of our guests and employees is our top priority. In light of the rapidly evolving situation regarding COVID-19, we will be temporarily ceasing operations in La Bodega Negra Café, Mon-Fri until further notice. We are continuing to stay open Saturday & Sunday and for dinner at La Bodega Negra Restaurant at 9 Old Compton Street. We would be delighted to make a reservation for you there should that be of interest. We thank you for your patience, understanding and support, and hope to welcome you back soon.

La Bodega Negra Cafe serves Mexican street food and cafe bites at 16 Moor Street in Soho. The cafe is open for delicious tacos and coffees, and dishes such as Al Pastor Pork, Pancita Burracho and other Mexican specialities and for take-away all day. The day-time sister of La Bodega Negra restaurant is all about fast, delicious, healthy Mexican food, with a kick-ass bar serving cocktails til late.

A rather limited menu. My grandson disappointed that they didn’t serve fajitas. Bill quite expensive for what we had. Wouldn’t choose to go there again

Unfortunately we came to the cafe at a very busy time, we were given a table in the middle and due to no space in the cafe whatsoever our table and chairs were bumped into by guests and waiters every fifteen seconds. We decided to leave as we wouldn’t be able to enjoy the experience and food. Feeling very sad as we were super excited to visit the place before.

We arrived on time and had to wait for our reservation and then they ran out of frozen margaritas. There was live music which was a good surprise. Tacos were awesome. Service was hit and miss though everyone was kind.

Thought I have booked the restaurant instead of the cafe. Regardless of me making a mistake I did put in the comment that I have a code app therefore I believe someone dealing with the bookings should have called me and let me know that the cafe does not do code app etc. I find it really strange that the restaurant/cafe don't check they bookings/requests in advance. Luckily it wasn't a special dietary requirement or anything else as according to the manager they do not check their bookings in advance or do not check the requests until the booking actually arrives. We did end up dining in the cafe but I don't think I would ever come back as the food was same quality as Chipotle just way pricier.

Good food but terrible service. We were sitting down for 20 mins, had ordered our drinks but they hadn’t arrived when the waitress grabbed our menus and said ‘have you ordered? You know there’s a booking on this table after you?’ We said ‘no’ and she threw the menu back onto the table. The food was good but felt they were hovering around us all night.
