Chef Lewis’s menu is influenced by years of global travel and inspired by Japanese and Korean yakiniku (literally translated to grilled meat in Japanese). The plates are designed to be straightforward and shareable, enabling a warm social environment. Barbecue aficionados will notice elements of American Southern barbecue peppered throughout the menu including the traditional “slow and low” technique. KYU was great as always. I appreciated how everything (tables and chairs) were being wiped down between guests and there was hand sanitizer available. This was nice to see considering the current circumstances.

The service is rather inconsistent and has certainly deteriorated over the past couple of years. Separately, while the ambiance is great the place is simply way too cold most of the time with massive air vents blowing freezing air onto most tables throughout the layout - way too uncomfortable.

Second time at KYU and it was an awesome experience, unfortunately, they ran out of the fried chicken for such a late reservation (11pm) but Eduardo didn't miss a beat and he was great at helping us find other things on the menu and bring us back to excitement. The food is bomb, extra shout out to Eduardo.
I received a lot of recommendations from people to try KYU when on a girl's trip recently and we were NOT disappointed. We opted to do the tasting menu because why not, and it was actually phenomenal. There were ten courses with dessert and flavor was never compromised even with the high volume of food that was brought out. The only qualm i had was with the amount of time between courses. I know that speedy service is something that is valued, but with so many courses, it would be nice to have a small reprieve before the next course. I will recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling to Miami and I look forward to my next trip when I can visit again!
Every single bite was so delicious and craft-fully made. The bone marrow starter and the soft shell crab steam buns were my favorites. This is a protein heavy menu so not great for plant-based. Worth the $$$
This is now officially my favorite restaurant. I've been here three times and have tried several items on the menu. I can't decide which one is better than the next! Delicious! Very please with the quality of food and also the excellent service from the accommodating hostess to the knowledgeable and attentive waiter, Shawn. Can't wait to go back.

The Benedict for brunch was awesome, along with the tableside king crab fried rice, and even the avocado salad is simple but sooo tasty!
Food is excellent, the place is cool but casual in nature, rather uncomfortable chairs.

We’re with our friends from Rhode Island. Both couples are celebrating our anniversaries, bday, and super bowl... our experience was absolutely amazing. We had Danny as our waiter and he was happy to go over popular items. Seriously one of the best meals ever and even our dudes enjoyed the tantalizing flavors KYU offers. We’ll be back our next celebratory Miami stay!

Great experience overall. We did the Chef Selection and were very happy with most of the dishes that came out. Would do it again, however I think I would select my own beverages vs the drink pairing.

Teníamos la reservación hasta las 10:30 pm esperamos a que nos de la hora para llegar.
Llegamos y hubo un incendio en la parte de arriba y obviamente no estaban ya recibiendo a la gente.
El problema es que me hubiera gustado que me avisen del restaurante para no estar esperando e ir y que no nos reciban.
Pues a las 10:30 pm ya ningún otro restaurante nos recibió y nos quedamos sin cenar.
Igualmente en su aplicación deberían avisar si hay algún percance para que los clientes puedan elegir otro lugar y que no se queden sin CENAR.
