KUU Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
The food was ok. We order all at the same time and food came out all at different times. I understand sushi rolls usually do come out at different times. That was not what we ordered... we did lunch menu and bento boxes. All came out at different times very awkward to enjoy a meal with friends.
Kuu is a neighborhood restaurant for us, but we would travel across town to dine there! Every visit has astounded us with the creativity, flavors, and freshness of every item on the menu. The staff is eager to make suggestions and alert patrons to special items available that day. NOT your ordinary Japanese restaurant - prices are not inexpensive, but on a par with the value received. Try their KUU roll or the Hamachi or Salmon Kama . Wonderful deserts too!
Elegant contemporary decor and a nice outdoor seating area.
Great choices of sushi - all very fresh. One roll was a bit inadequate (one of their best sellers but didn't have an ingredient listed that I am not partial to). They graciously removed it from my bill without a request to do so. Fantastic staff - very knowledgeable and helpful. Will definitely return again.
Came here for my wife's birthday. Food was outstanding. May be the best Japanese resturant we have been to which includes N.Y and L.A. Service was outstanding. The plates our waitress Stefani's recommendations were excellent choices. We are already looking forward to returning.
Kuu is the finest Japanese cuisine restaurant that we have experienced in the Houston area. There are other very good restaurants serving this type of cuisine but Kuu is far and away the best of the lot. The service is excellent and the food is truly inventive and extraordinarily delicious. It's rather pricey but it's worth it. Eating at Kuu is nothing short of a culinary adventure.
