Was there for lunch with a friend and we both ordered a bento lunch. Food tasted very salty and sweet at the same time, probably loaded with MSG. Will not return.

As always, the food and service was wonderful. The new lobster/tuna appetizer was amazing. Many thanks to our server, Christine.

Great food and service. Personally, I thought the tuna tartare was a very small plate for the price but still very good

We are regulars at this restaurant. It has become our go to place for sushi in Memorial. Love the sushi chefs! They always surprise us with a special treat when we sit at the sushi bar.

The food was ok. We order all at the same time and food came out all at different times. I understand sushi rolls usually do come out at different times. That was not what we ordered... we did lunch menu and bento boxes. All came out at different times very awkward to enjoy a meal with friends.

Kuu is a neighborhood restaurant for us, but we would travel across town to dine there! Every visit has astounded us with the creativity, flavors, and freshness of every item on the menu. The staff is eager to make suggestions and alert patrons to special items available that day. NOT your ordinary Japanese restaurant - prices are not inexpensive, but on a par with the value received. Try their KUU roll or the Hamachi or Salmon Kama . Wonderful deserts too!
Elegant contemporary decor and a nice outdoor seating area.

Great choices of sushi - all very fresh. One roll was a bit inadequate (one of their best sellers but didn't have an ingredient listed that I am not partial to). They graciously removed it from my bill without a request to do so. Fantastic staff - very knowledgeable and helpful. Will definitely return again.

We overall enjoyed our evening at KUU. It is expensive and while the food was tasty, we will only come back for a special occasion due to the price point of each plate.

Food presentation on all dishes excellent. Their concept is to serve "tapas" portions therefore each dish is not big. Yet when we each ordered a sushi roll each roll had about 8 pieces. Ordering several dishes can get pricey. Good quality.

Food is great. We have been many times. They only had one bottle of the first wine I ordered. They were out of the next two I tried to ordered and they finally had the third. It was very frustrating and disappointing.

I am a Japanese men and would like to recommend that "Miso Soup" should be served
after enjoying lunch.
This is, I recognize, Western style and however it is quite strange for Japanese.

Came here for my wife's birthday. Food was outstanding. May be the best Japanese resturant we have been to which includes N.Y and L.A. Service was outstanding. The plates our waitress Stefani's recommendations were excellent choices. We are already looking forward to returning.

In general, too slow service, even if not so much customers.

Kuu is the finest Japanese cuisine restaurant that we have experienced in the Houston area. There are other very good restaurants serving this type of cuisine but Kuu is far and away the best of the lot. The service is excellent and the food is truly inventive and extraordinarily delicious. It's rather pricey but it's worth it. Eating at Kuu is nothing short of a culinary adventure.

the food was perfect as always. The only negative thing was the service, because they had had only 2 or three attendants working and a lot of tables to handle.
