   Food was good, we’ve had better but certainly no complaints. The restaurant felt quite rustic compared to others in the area however the price certainly didn’t reflect this. We found it expensive & the place lacked the charm & atmosphere of similar spots. For this reason we wouldn’t return.

   We had a group of 11 relatives meeting up from around the world. The service, food, and location were outstanding! Highly recommended!

   We were a party of 9 and the staff couldn't do enough for us to ensure we had a fantastic evening! The food looked great and was absolutely delicious. Service was excellent and, although it's quite small inside, we were able to sit outside and enjoy the ambience of both the restaurant itself and all the other surrounding eateries with outdoor seating. It is a bit pricey but you really have to expect that from a predominantly Japanese restaurant in central London. Definitely an absolute gem of a find.

   Lovely food, lovely atmosphere, lovely staff. Everything you could want! Food and drinks a little on the pricier side but it was a great experience.

   Really delicious food! The shrimp tempura melted in your mouth and the dragon rolls were so moreish. Great quick service too - our waiter (Marcus I think?) was very friendly and accommodating. So many things on the menu I still want to try so looking forward to the next visit.

   We have been going to Kurobuta for 8 years and it never fails to impress us. This was our first visit to the new restaurant in Fitzrovia however it was still amazing. Max was excellent and extremely friendly. Would always recommend Kurobuta.

   Arrived for our booking to be told the kitchen was closed and we weren’t able to enter the restaurant which was really disappointing as we had walked a long way to get there. No apology. The server then went on packing up. Even though there were people inside on one table on a Saturday evening, it was empty. I suspect this place will be out of business very soon. AVOID.

   Service very slow and chaotic. Food portions very small and expensive for the amount you receive. So much potential but not good value for money.

    I booked Kurobuta after seeing all the good reviews this place got but honestly it was very underwhelming. The dining space was very narrow to the point where the wine fridge was being opened onto the back of my chair. The chairs themselves felt pretty cheap. The atmosphere felt very odd, the door was left open the whole night so there was a draft coming into the restaurant and there was a very noticeable lack of staff (even though there was maybe only 4 tables with people there) and the manager was having to go around to tables offering shots of Ouzo as a distraction. The food itself was okay and came in good time but but the portion sizes were really small. The Nigiri platter itself was pretty laughable with 8 pieces being spread across a massive plate and every other dish being fluffed up with salad leaves and lettuce in a poor effort to disguise the lack of quantity of food. We needed up spending about £68 a head and honestly we’re still hungry after.
