Great food but a little pricier than the competition. On cold winter days best not sit by the exterior (garage) doors.
First time here. The food was excellent and the service was very good which was a pleasant surprise these days because of the shortage of staffing one experiences most everywhere. Great experience here. Thank you, Kona Grill!!
The food was terrible. I didn't mind they were short staffed, but the whole family did not enjoy any of the dishes. The appetizers were cold, the sushi wasn't good, the Pad Thai was awful. Its a restaurant that looks like it has potential to be good... but looks are deceiving. Would not return
The restaurant was dirty. We left without ordering food due to the filthy condition of the bathroom and table we were seated at.
Way too close to neighboring table, staff not wearing masks, just very uncomfortable overall.
My husband got the prime rib & said excellent, his new fav meal there. I always get the lime-yogurt(?) chicken with rice & broccolini- really delicious!!

Shrimp tempura had no crunch. Would not recommend. Sushi rolls pretty good.
Our server was absolutely wonderful! She was on top of everything and when my daughter received a dish that wasn’t made correctly, she quickly got her a new entree and comped us for it. We’re definitely going back!

Nobody came to the host stand to greet or acknowledge us at the front, so we stood there and waited 10 mins and decided to just leave. What a waste of our night and I didn't get points for the visit which was a double negative. We were visible to employees too.
We decided to try the Kona Grill at Ridgedale last night. We'd been to the one in Eden Prairie and enjoyed it. Unfortunately this experience didn't go well.
When we arrived the two young women at the host stand couldn't have been less welcoming. One of them never even looked up from the computer screen. The one that showed us to our table never smiled or welcomed us and left us one menu for two people. I had requested a quiet spot. We were seated in the middle of room. A lot of hard surfaces and loud music made it hard to talk. Although the warning on Open Table said "masks must be worn" unless eating or drinking virtually none of the staff or patrons were masked. We counted two. Our waiter, who was nice (if unmasked) informed us they were out of both sea bass and salmon which eliminated a good part of the sushi menu including the dish we'd come for. All in all it was very disappointing. We won't be going back.
I couldn't get Sea Bass as they were out of it. If manager of this restaurant can't plan properly, then next time I will go to another restaurant.
Food was good as usual noise level was a little loud and the service was OKn new serve I think.
Waitstaff poorly trained. Hostess desk was total confusion. Waitress didn’t know the difference between sushi and sashimi. Prime rib is reheated on grill. Just a poorly trained and rehearsed staff. BAD MANAGEMENT! Staff tried but failed.
Good food, good service, but a little louder than I expected. Had to yell to be heard across the table.
They got rid of their Sunday happy hour but their website still shows they offer happy hour on Sundays. The manager still honored happy hour pricing on our items after we inquired.
Rayna was the most outstanding server we’ve ever had. I could never say enough positive things about her kindness and attentiveness. We will be back soon!
Overpriced and just meh food. A basic cheeseburger for $19. Totally underwhelmed and would not recommend it.

Service and ambience were great. The prices were sky high for teeny tiny portions. The food was good but it wasn't 'fine dining' good.
Food was fine, but, way way too slow for a small and easy meal.
I was disappointed as your web site re. Restaurant Week listed prime rib as an entree. Our rez was for 4:30pm and server said they were out of prime rib--only left us with chicken or salmon as a choice. Salmon serving was a bit small, potstickers were delicious and ample(6). Cake slices were huge and delicious.
The server was not aware of the latest information about the menu. The restaurant was also out of my favorite sushi roll. Service took over two hours, even though we were ready to move things along faster.
Solid food. Very good sushi. Very slow service. Good atmosphere. Better for lunch
Easy to get. Worth the trip.
Good tasting, healthy food choices, even though a little expensive, but not overly so.

I had a standard table reservation. When I arrived I was asked if I high top table would be OK, I said yes. Next thing I know I'm being taken to a regular table outside. It didn't seem too cold but after sitting for a few minutes we realized it was getting chillier and asked if they could close the patio windows; we were told they could not. The waitress offered to move us so we went inside. Not five minutes later they closed the windows in the outside area. One of my guests ordered a drink which sat at the bar for 10 minutes until she finally walked up to the bartender to ask if that was her drink. We sat at our table for another 25 minutes before our waitress came back to us to take our food orders. The restaurant was not busy, yet the service was slow. Dessert was comped because the waitress "felt bad that she forgot about us". Kona is not one of my first choices of restaurants, I've had issues all three times I've eaten there. But the people I was meeting picked it so I went along. I don't think I'll be coming back.
Great service and food. We only had one drink because they were weak. You want big money for your drinks and than make them weak. Next time I will drink water.

Hands down the worst experience we have ever had at Kona Grill. The waitress did not seem to be trained at all. The restaurant was at most 1/3 full and it took almost an hour to get our food and my wife’s order was all wrong. When it was remade it was obvious the chef over spiced her poke bowl as it was way spicier than it normally is. Not sure I’ll return to this location again.
In a word awful! from being seated by a hostess that gave us a tour of half the restaurant and ended up seating us up close to the front where we came in.
Took a long time to order, took a long time for our food, sushi rolls, the order came out wrong, one of the specialty rolls was missing the cream cheese and the special Hibiscus sauce. We explained to our waiter who talked to the chef and chef said nope that's how its suppose to be. We are not stupid. Our waiter tried bringing us two different sauces which did not go well with our coconut shrimp & mango with no cream cheese, suppose to be like a dessert roll. it was bland no flavor. This restaurant used to be top notch. We have tried several times this year to go back to this place but the music was loud and banging couldn't even have a conversation without yelling across table. We will not be going back :(
Waste of money and time. Flatbread was without cheese and soggy. Not anywhere near good.
I ordered the Asian Salad, it was basically shredded cabbage and dressing, 16$ for cabbage, maybe several ramen noodles in it. The server was nice, but won’t be going back there
The service was okay— the waitress was very kind but was slow to get waters to the table and we had to ask for sauces and extra refills more than once before getting them. The food was decent (sushi was good but averages $13-$16 per roll for 5-6 pieces). Pretty expensive if nothing happy hour. The sides are all pretty pricey… a small bowl of fried rice for $8 as well. Overall food taste was good but expensive. Server was kind but very forgetful.
Always enjoy the meal there. It was fun to have seating outside.

The portions are overpriced, the take and chairs were dirty, had to use the Q code for the menu, not impressed at all. I've been to other Kona Grills, this location is fair at best. Our waiter was the only good aspect of the evening.
Great food. Wasn’t busy at all on a Sunday night. Plenty of room, yet for a party of five you wanted to sit us in a small booth! There were maybe ten other customers in the whole place. After a small complaint you moved us, but why are your hostess so inept? The server we had was awesome, great service. The food was excellent as always. Mai Tai was too much orange flavor- did you change your recipe or having trouble finding decent bartenders?
