We enjoyed our midweek lunch. Needed a hint of Hawaii. Our favorite dishes are the spicy tempura shrimp and avocado egg rolls. My husband liked his sushi too. My Mai Tai helped with the Hawaii feeling. A nice respite in early March. Our reservation was for 11 AM and it was quiet.

We specifically asked for a quiet table since we were having a book club meeting over dinner and were seated in an ideal spot. A manager came to check on us almost right away to see if the table was fitting for our needs. Very pleasant experience.

We frequent Kona Grill quite often and every time without a doubt we leave satisfied and wanting to come back. Our experience has been great with the staff, the food is always great quality, and there is something for everyone in our family. We often will go for happy hour, which has great value, although the HH menu recently changed due to changes in ownership and the menu is a little more limited than it used to be. Never the less, when the check comes I don't balk at the price given the total experience and I never leave hungry. I'd highly recommend it!

We have been there many times. I made a reservation but we were put at a high top in the porch where three plates could not even fit on the table so we were eating trying to hold our plate on the table. I asked to have my salmon cooked well and it arrived cold in the middle.
All of our other past experiences there have been ok but after this time I do not know if I would recommend right now.

The food was very good and we did enjoy ourselves. But we were seated in a part of the restaurant that was terribly cold. Others in the area had their coats on. The waiter said, "yeah, they didn't put any heat vents in this part of the restaurant. There's nothing we can do." Well certainly Kona Grill could have heat vents added if they wanted too. It spoiled an otherwise lovely evening.

It was our Anniversary and they seated us in the bar area, not what I expected but our server was fantastic

The food was good but we were given a table that was basically in the entryway even though there were plenty of other tables available. The service was slow and the appetizers showed up with the mains. When we got the bill we gave them gift cards to cover part of the check. They came back with a new total and we provided a credit card for the balance. It took 15 minutes for them to return with our check to sign. The total had increased by $50. The server provided no explanation and we had to flag her down to figure out what had happened. We ultimately we got it resolved through a discussion with the manager. Really poor service. We have eaten here several times and we really like the food. Hopefully this is an isolated incident.

Kona is always good! They have a great menu with a lot of options to choose from. Their Poke Bowls are AMAZING! Great atmosphere too. Our server was very attentive! We will definitely be back!

Our waiter, Jody, was an excellent waiter. Jody answered all our questions and made suggestions if we had questions. The food was delicious and the portions were appropriate. We had prompt service, Jody checked to make sure that we were all happy with our orders. There was replenishing of water and beverages. My only disappointment was that the restaurant was out of the Filet, which I had ordered.

I have been to Kona many times and was disappointed this time. No one came over to our table for 5-10 minutes. When he did, our waiter was very nice. But it took at least 25 minutes after we had had our first drink to get our meal. I had the chicken sandwich, very mediocre this time, fries extremely limp and greasy. Had to remind waiter to bring ketchup. And it wasn't even busy which normally I would have excused the slow service because of a crowd.

The sides of the table flip out or can be placed under, well mine was flipped out but wasn’t flat so my appetizer plate slid in my lap. We had to eventually flip mine under so I could eat. Also, the waiter didn’t check on us later so I could order another drink.

We went for happy hour and had a great server. We were disappointed the HH menu is now smaller and not half off anymore. Probably won’t eat there as often.

We’ve eaten a number of times at Kona. Our experiences have been inconsistent. The food this time was poor. The texture of the potsticker filling was poor. I’ve order sushi sampler several times. This was really a poor choice. I was disappointed. I doubt we’ll be back.

Waiter and manager didn’t have a clue. Waiter had to ask the manager if a slightly dirty martini met the Happy hour requirements of a happy hour martini, manager decided it didn’t. Adding olive juice is an added cost, please. Then they charged us for the free birthday dessert. Waiter and management was terrible, won’t go back.

For a 2:00 reservation there weren’t many people yet we got little service. The food took forever-getting the bill even worse. We had to ask twice.
The shrimp stir fry was so spicy my mom couldn’t eat it yet no one stopped back to check on our food and my mom was too polite to say anything to us. We asked for an additional bowl of rice and that took nearly 15 minutes.
All this I could better understand but like I said, it was not busy.
I’ve eaten at Kona many times-always in the bar area where I’ve loved everything. I’ll never eat in the dining room again.

Food was very good. I had shrimp penne in garlic sauce and the shrimp was amazing. The rest of my family shared sushi and enjoyed that as well. The reason I gave the Ambiance a low score was because we were seated in the back room and it smelled sour, almost like a nursing home kind of smell. We got used to it, but it was quite off-putting at first. The wait staff was very attentive and had good recommendations. Next time, I would just make sure I'm not sitting in the back of the restaurant.

Overall it was good, our server seemed to have too many tables to accommodate for our 12 person table. We got drinks right away but when he came to get our food order, he just walked away when I asked for our appetizers instead of letting us order both apps and dinner. It was several minutes before he came back with 2 of 3 apps and still didn't take our dinner order. We never got the chance to order another round of cocktails and sodas but had several different people filling our waters. When our dinner order was finally taken, he didn't take any of the menus so we had those for the rest of the night. He asked us twice if we wanted desert. Overall food and cocktails were excellent but I don't know if I would like to have another work dinner here.

We love Kona Grill and stopped here on Black Friday after some Christmas shopping. Ordered Angry Edamame which was fabulous. Also ordered three different sushi rolls, two of which were great (Sunshine Roll and Wave Roll) and one that was bad (Spicy Crunchy Tuna Roll). The last one smelled like bad fish, was covered with dry topping which made all three of us sick later in the evening. I’ve never had an experience like this at Kona before, but likely won’t go back anytime soon.
Upon entering, the hostess didn’t look up or try to establish eye contact. I told her we had an open table reservation but she didn’t respond in any way, just grabbed menus and started walking, so we followed. Very odd. Our waitress was really nice, but that hostess needs some training on creating an experience. First impressions are everything. Food was adequate, but fantastic. But the restaurant is really beautiful.
The food was very good and the service was excellent
Our first experience at this location. We went on Thanksgiving Day at six o'clock. I didn't want the buffet experience, rather I wanted a place where you could order off the menu. My wife had the sea bass(excellent). I had the jambalaya (good but I have had better). Everyone was very friendly and attentive. I recommend this restaurant without hesitation.
Vibrant ambience with delicious and varied menu items. Sushi lover, this is the place to eat.
