My husband and I went for lunch at 1 pm. There weren’t many people seated outside. We ordered drinks and they came right over, we waited 15 mins to order. We started with calamari which were fantastic. Our meals is where things started going wrong. Hubby’s sesame salmon bowl was fried salmon, wilted lettuce, mushie avocado, basically looks like somebody thew it in a bowl and called it a day. I got a bowl of lobster bisque… there was NO lobster in it. None, not one piece and it was clearly microwaved because it had a film on top. No one came back to check on us , or ask if everything was good, or even to see if we’d like another drink. We waited 45 mins just to ask for another drink. (And it wasn’t even our waiter we flagged down!) The place would have a lot of potential if it was better run. I hate leaving bad reviews because we work in the food industry and we know how hard it is, but we were really excited to go, drove over an hour to get there and were extremely disappointed.

Our whole entire July 4 celebration down in old Lyme was fantastic because of Kokomo’s. We brought all the kids and their friends down the whole weekend long and it was absolutely great food, great atmosphere and great service.

I’ve never had a better beachfront dining experience in Connecticut. The view of the water while enjoying a cocktail was just perfect, and the laid-back vibe made it feel like a mini vacation. I had the bonus, buffalo chicken wings, and the chicken Caesar wrap, and they were bursting with flavor—so good I almost ordered a second round. The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. I can’t wait to go back; this place is a gem.

Our party of four arrived late for our 12 pm reservation. The Fourth of July traffic and parking was chaotic to say the least. Gavin, the parking attendant was great though. The hostess showed us to the outdoor dining area and immediately chose a table by the garbage cans, even though there were plenty of empty tables available. She seemed annoyed that we requested a table further away from the garbage. Three of the lunch dishes were nothing short of mediocre. A wrap, a salad and a crispy chicken sandwich. The manager was very pleasant and accommodating. If you are looking for a spring break vibe, you’ll love it.

So disappointing. Billed as a seafood restaurant with Caribbean overtones, it was in fact basically a deep-fried-heavy beach bar with cheap wine (but not cheaply priced) and a boring menu of waaaaay overpriced food. What was billed as a roasted salmon over greens and grains for $28 was in fact a bowl of spinach with what looked and tasted like frozen deep fried salmon fingers…a (plastic) cup of soy/spiced quinoa was delivered as an afterthought. Bartender was friendly, but kitchen service was slow and there isn’t so much as bread offered while you wait. This is probably fine on a hot summer’s day when you can eat outside on or near the sand and you don’t need anything other than something to fill up with. But we won’t be back.

The restaurant is closed, possibly for the season. Their website says they’re open, no updated information about if they’re open or closed when you call, and online booking HERE let us make reservations AND GAVE US CONFIRMATION. Drove all the way there to find the entire area a ghost town. Huge waste of time and gas. That is poor management.

Since you do all the work on your phone, ordering it and paying for it, the 20% tip mandate seems exorbitant when all the workers had to do is walk out with the plates.
