Koko Head Cafe
We greatly appreciate your continued support. We serve the state best breakfast and brunch in the state with a chef driven flair created by none other than Top Chef season 1 contestant, Lee Anne Wong. Our most popular dishes include the Cornflake French Toast, Koko Moco, the Don Buri Chen, and daily assorted baked treats. We are locally owned and operated, so thank you for supporting local small businesses!
We kindly ask all guests to limit their stay for a maximum period of 60 minutes during peak hours, because waiting in line for Cornflake French Toast is torture. We look forward to serving you #bruchallday soon!

Right after landing at the airport we went to eat at Koko Head cafe. I booked it way in advance so we wouldn’t miss out. This is my third time there and consistently good every time. Everyone there is friendly and attentive. I always feel like I made a new friend and walk out happy. Great way to start our vacation. I’ve told my family and friends to check it out and they come home raving about Koko Head cafe. Make sure to try the daily special dumplings. Ono!
The front hostess was very rude. We had a reservation a month in advance and still had to wait. Not coming back.
Not worth the hype. Food was heavy and not that great. Atmosphere sucks and the wait it too long and the service is rude.
Menu is quirky, intriguing, and Asian inspired with a laid-back hometown vibe. We'll be back!
Receptionist and manager were very rude! We were definitely profiled. The waiter was friendly and the food was great though.
A foodie’s haven.
Intriguing, delectable, tantalizing dishes.
Amusing to the palate and the mind. Can’t wait to go back.
Great food, fun environment and friendly staff!
First time here after hearing about this place from so many friends and coworkers. So glad we got a reservation as there were many waiting outside for a table. We were seated immediately. We haven’t eaten out at restaurants in a year and we felt safe the entire time (helps to be vaccinated). The server was great and gave us good suggestions. So glad she suggested the dumplings- wow. Just. So. Good. I had the congee and my husband had the koko moco. Both were stellar. There were other servers who kept checking on us which was really nice. Great ambiance- not too noisy. Really enjoyed ourselves for a nice little breakfast outing. Thank you!
Glad there is reservations... used to wait over an hour to get in to be seated. The food is still as good and really fun atmosphere.
Overall service was great as well as the food.
Very slow service and it was not as great as I was hoping.
Had Bimbap and Congee but was too Americanized, dimsum was OK but too expensive for five small pieces. Bit over hyped, expensive, and touristy.
Great food! Good service. Unique Hawaiian flare to breakfast
First return since pandemic began and ambiance, service and overall quality is still the same as before - outstanding!! Although due to mandates, restaurant capacity is limited and be prepared to wait longer than usual if reservations weren’t made, especially on weekends. Weekend brunch is excellent and food quality is on par with high end fine dining outlets. Servers were very cordial and explained every dish on the menu to the tee! Chef Lee Ann Wong’s eatery may very well be the best kept culinary secret on the island. Keep the flame burning!!
Great attentive service.
Quality & presentation are good.
Tasty dishes with unique spin on old favorites. Nice special occasion breakfast or lunch.
Had a reservation and an hour early to see if we could be seated sooner. That was a mistake, as they were unable to accommodate our request. That said, once we were in at our original reserved time, the service and food was tremendous.
We ordered the cornflake French toast with cornflake gelato. It was amazing!
Great food in a welcoming setting. Wide range of breakfast options - definitely get the dumplings if the day.
Awesome on all counts! I especially loved their unique cocktails...fresh beet w vanilla & vodka was so yummy!
The manager hurried our meal and was rude about it saying they needed the table. We were only seated for 45 minutes and the food took forever to get there, but he still told us to leave for the next group. How rude.
The food was really good. Portions are on the smaller side, but still filling. Would definitely come back again, to try the specials.
Any time you go to a celebrity chef's restaurant to try their food, you shouldn't be disappointed by the flavors and combinations. The hostess at the front was lovely. The congee was fantastic and so was the breakfast bibimbap. The dumplings with marinara were super weird...a real stretch. The cocktails were fine, and our server was nice enough. As soon as the check was dropped, we waited probably 10 minutes before it was picked up and payment collected. About two minutes later, the manager asked if we needed anything else, right after the server did. I was in the industry nearly 30 years, I get it. You needed the table. We were there just over an hour from start to finish. We were hardly "camping." I went to the ladies' room, and my husband and our friend went outside to wait for me so they could flip the table. The manager then agressively told my husband and our friend "you can't be here, you need to go down the street." They weren't blocking the door (we aren't stupid) and they were almost standing in the street...and no one was standing outside waiting. It completely ruined the experience for us. I cannot imagine LeAnn Wong would stand for such rudeness from a manager. Bummer. We won't be back.
This was our second visit and the food was delicious. I had the Don Buri Chen and the miso marinated meat was fantastic. My wife had the Shakshouka and really like it as well.
The food was great, but the service was a little slow and fairly aloof. We were exactly five minutes late, and instead of welcoming us, the hostess informed me they had a “five minute grace period,” but a table had just been vacated, so they’d sanitize and set it for us. It was just a sort of bizarre way to be greeted, especially because we were within the (narrow) grace period. This was the only “greeting” we ever received from the hostess, who seated us about five minutes later without saying anything more. From there, the food was really, really good, but our service was aloof. There’s a “coffee+” on the menu, and the description says “the hot drink of your dreams, ask your server.” When at asked the server, she just said “you can just put whatever you want in it.” Anyway, as stated the food was solid, but the service did nothing make us feel welcomed.
I would eat here every day if I could. You can’t go wrong with any of their dishes especially the specials on the board. I also don’t know if I’ve come across a friendlier staff - they are attentive and genuinely down to earth.
Knew we were coming to HNL, and had to make sure we ate at Koko Head. Phenomenal food, people, atmosphere!
Best breakfast we’ve ever had in our life. The cornflake French toast and donburi chen were amazing. Staff were super warm and friendly.
Good food, good service...no need to say more
Excellent food and service.
Soooooo good! Great menu - different food - I had the French toast - which is square and rolled in cornflakes! Ate every bite!
They are ALWAYS busy. Be prepared to wait - even with a recommendation. I was in Oahu 2 weeks, and went there 3 times! So worth it!
Good food and good people
Food is always excellent! Our server was friendly and helpful.
Skip the breakfast bibimbap, not enough meat inside. Their version of a loco moco was delicious!
Life changing. Senia but breakfast. Incredible twists on classics and inumberable and beautiful textures and flavours.
Best food on Oahu.
Cured ono tartine and service were excellent!!
Overall It was good but it seemed a bit overpriced
Great food, friendly service. Chill ambiance that feels very homey.
Great! Super friendly staff
