Kobeya is a lively Japanese restaurant and sushi bar. Unlike some of the more quiet, refined sushi places diners might have been to, Kobeye could easily be mistaken for a nightclub. The lights are kept low and neon strobes are placed above the fully stocked bar. There are the traditional tables throughout the restaurant, but there are also large circular booths that can comfortably accommodate large parties and can be reserved ahead of time. Kobeya starters include shrimp tempura, crab rangoons, beef tataki, fried calamari and various sushi samplers. Diners can also order one of the many signature salads like the spicy tuna salad, seaweed salad or sunomono salad with cucumber, seaweed and crab meat in a seasoned vinegar sauce. Beyond that, guests would be best served trying as many of the wide and varied sushi rolls that Kobeya has to offer.
