Another great experience. We let Sara know we were coming and she had a table waiting for us with menus, water and of course knew what we wanted to drink. We were not that hungry having stopped at Buc-ee's on the way from Dallas so we split the smash burger which was so simple, but so absolutely perfect! The food really is fantastic there. We look forward to our next visit.

I recently hosted a business luncheon at the Knotty Deck Restaurant and had the best experience! The food was delicious and service outstanding. Our server Kathleen was such a delight! It’s no surprise the Renaissance Hotel is named ”Best Places to Work” by the Austin Business Journal year after year. We dined on delicious appetizers and my burrata salad with grilled shrimp was the perfect entree - fresh and ample. I highly recommend Knotty Deck and can’t wait to return! I’m putting their Summer happy hour on the top of my list - their newly renovated outside deck is beautiful with Hill Country views, comfy seating, a new water feature, and they have live music on Fridays! The perfect summer setting to round out my week!

I’m sure the hotel was a little overwhelmed by a conference but the coffee was lukewarm. The staff was confused not just with our food but other as well. The food was tasty but not any thing spectacular and the cost was too high for it. Our server did her best and even corrected a problem that her manager didn’t. Overhead people who were unhappy with their meal there the night before. Hoping it was just an off day. Should be much better.

We had family in town for our daughter’s high school graduation. Family and friends wanted to get together after the graduation for a casual celebration, so I decided to book at Knotty Deck since a few people were staying there. I made note of the occasion on the reservation and they gave us a private area and even had Congratulations messaging for our daughter! They took SUCH GREAT CARE of our group. The staff was exceptional, as was the food and drinks. People ordered food on their own, all great, and then we ordered shareable desserts for everyone so I could add a toothpick decoration we brought with us, and they were so yummy! We chose strawberry cheesecake that had fresh crushed strawberries on top, and some sort of chocolate mousse cake. Yum! The bar itself is cool, plenty of tables and a variety of seating options, and it has this great deck with a pretty view. The hotel is really nice, and has a cool Austin-y vibe. In the lobby and central area there are several comfortable seating areas with couches and chairs that we used after the bar closed, and some cool art that is perfect for photo backdrops. This was a great experience, and being local we will definitely be back. I’m so glad to know about Knotty Deck, it will be a fun place to revisit individually or with a group.

Sad Mother's Day Experience. We had a reservation at 1P and didn't get seated until about 1:20P. The restaurant was not packed, and there was no apology or reason for the delay. There were tables beautifully decorated by the live musician but we were seated in the back of the restaurant with a metal table and no decorations. Our server checked on us so infrequently that my 9-year-old asked me if we had a waiter/waitress. Awful. And for the price we paid, I'm disgusted.

This was a fantastic event. Tons of high quality food options. Attentive service. Food stations were all attended by either a chef or a member of the restaurant staff to explain each dish. Super clean and well put together. The free gift for Moms and the arts and crafts stations for the kids to make Mother’s Day cards was a nice tough, along with the photo opp buildouts. Will definitely return for another event like this. A hidden gem for sure.

We’ve been to Knotty Deck for Thanksgiving 2x, Easter and now Mother’s Day. It’s always been really nice. Intimate, not too crowded, quiet and excellent service with delicious food. It’s very enjoyable and beats cooking. The Mother’s Day event did not disappoint.

The food was amazing and fresh! The presentation was beautiful and the staff at the action table were friendly and professional. I can’t wait to have an excuse to come back . Service could be improved but it was very busy so we understand.

Beautiful setting and gorgeous food, just a shame that everything was cold as it got to the table, including coffee. I don't think there was enough staff. It wasn't that busy but it was difficult to get ahold of a server. We had no silverware and had to take some from the table next to us. But staff was really nice and tried to do their best. Despite of that, we really had a great time and loved our brunch.
