Knife & Spoon is the signature steak and seafood restaurant in the Ritz-Carlton Orlando Grande Lakes led by Chef Tyler Kineman. The restaurant was awarded a coveted MICHELIN Star in the 2022 edition of the MICHELIN Guide Florida.

Knife & Spoon is conceived by Chef John Tesar who was called "the single most talented cook I ever worked with" by Anthony Bourdain. Tesar came up as a chef in New York City at 13 Barrow St, 44 & Hell's Kitchen, Vine, and the Supper Club. He then went on to open two restaurants in Dallas that have been named among the best in the country by Bon Appetit, Eater and Esquire. He has garnered praise from Food and Wine, and The New York Times and is a two-time contestant on Bravo's "Top Chef."

Wonderful stuff and great service. My fish was oversalted :/ The rest of food was good but not amazing. Definitely not a Micheline Star restaurant.

Dined here for the first time. Very good, but not great. We were seated promptly at a high-top and found the chairs fairly uncomfortable for a lingering dinner (which is the pace of the dining experience provided). The restaurant, even when fully seated, was quiet enough to easily converse - a big plus. I split a wedge salad with my wife, which made the portion size perfect, and the salad was truly outstanding. The aged NY strip, although cooked to a perfect medium rare, was oddly dry and lacking in flavor. I would not order it again. The sides (onion rings, potato purée, kimchi sautéed spinach) were delicious and well-sized for sharing with our party of four. The desserts were also delicious but significantly undersized. The staff wonderfully walked the line of being present to attend to any needs/requests without being obtrusive. A memorable evening with excellent company, but I’m unlikely to return.

The staff was professional and kind. All the way around, except my husband had to ask several times for his coke before he got it. As any expensive restaurant, the food was good but overpriced but that’s what you get to employ all the people to wait on you. My husband loved the bolognese, we weren’t crazy about the himachi. We eat a lot of jalapeño himachi but this himachi seemed a little fishy, Also, my scallops were a little cold when I got them. The bread service was delicious and great. The cheesecake and caramel dessert were outstanding Overall, the experience was delightful and one of the best we have ever had but not sure we would go back again as felt the pricing didn’t reflect what we got for our meals.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal here. The bar staff were especially kind and gracious. The drinks were fantastic. This is a beautifully designed dining space. I highly recommend it.

Had a fantastic anniversary dinner here. Service is top notch. Heavy char on the steak which I love. The tortellini was amazing! And every cocktail we ordered was delicious.

From our arrival, valet drop, and prompt seating, we were treated with nothing but exceptional and warm hospitality and service. Our team of staff took great care to explain the menu and take care of our every need throughout the night. The food was brought to us with perfect timing and was exceptional. I highly recommended the iberico and octopus carpaccio. We enjoyed our mains as well: The whole pompano was perfectly cooked, buttery, and had amazing, crispy skin. The medium-rare aged ribeye was also perfect for sharing and had some earthy flavors that made it really enjoyable. Everything they serve is sustainably sourced, and the team had a masterful understanding of the dishes. One minor drawback was the noise level, which made it sometimes difficult to enjoy a conversation with my girlfriend, or even sometimes with the staff. Overall, though, we enjoyed Knife and Spoon on our special occasion. It was about a 2 hr experience including espresso after our desserts to finish our meal.

Was surprised by several things at what is considered a Michelin stared restaurant. We had a salt box for our butter but they never said what types of salt were in it. I had the scallops that were served in a soup bowl. They didn’t give me a plate for the mashed potato side so I had to use my butter plate. The fact that the mashed potato and the desserts that came with the coffees were the best part of the meal is disappointing. The onion rings were way over breaded, the wagyu beef was medium, not medium rare, and had almost no char. My scallops were soft and unremarkable. Nothing was particularly interesting or prepared at a level that made it exceptional. The shrimp cocktail was very good but, at a Michelin stared restaurant, I shouldn’t be hunting for dishes that were better than average for a review

What an experience, for sure more than just a meal. I do not usually write reviews but the job the team at knife and spoon did cannot go uncommended. Every food item and every drink we're perfect and we could not have asked for more

Great food and amazing service. We tried the tasting menu with wine pairing and the 32oz rib-eye, both outstanding. My only complaint is that you have to remember this is near theme parks, which means lots of children. Unfortunately, the table next to us had a child running around in circles. I love children, but this was a bit much and very disturbing to those around them.

The best restaurant that has a Michelin star in Orlando and by far, the attention is out of this planet, the food and the place are brought to a concept that makes you fly. Thank you for this magnificent dinner.

My husband and I came here for his birthday dinner and were blown away by the quality of food and service! We ordered a bottle of wine and shared several dishes to share. The aged rib-eye was one of the best steaks we’ve had. Other dishes we shared including the hamachi crudo, uni cacio e pepe, and kimchi creamed spinach were amazing as well. It’s definitely reserved for special occasions, but I wouldn’t hesitate going back again.

For the cost of the meal, I don’t see the value. The food is good. Not fabulous. But it is really costly. If you want the roast chicken, which I did, the wait time is one hour. The steaks are good but no better than any other steakhouse. It just cost more. The noise level ruined it for me. The staff is five star. I wouldn’t go back. Our dinner for 2, two drinks, no wine, was $470 before tip.

Overall we were very impressed by the entire offering (ambiance, food, service, etc). Ritz’s cocktails alway top notch. Noise level is quite high maybe to reflect festive vibe. We are fine with that. The difference of service between Knife and Spoon and CAPA at four seasons ( both are Michelin one star) is that K&S is by a team of waiting staff and CAPA is by a dedicated waiter. They are just different. Both are excellent.

I am not a negative person, but I have been to numerous Michelin Star restaurants, and how Knife & Spoon got a star is beyond me. The ambience was like that of a cafeteria, extremely noisy to the point of not being able to have a conversation. The food was underwhelming. It was fine, but similar to a Texas Roadhouse! Service was adequate, but nowhere near what I expected. Overall, very disappointed, but they have a captured audience. I would go, but just don't have any expectations of fine dining.

Our dinner was excellent. The food and the staff were amazing as well. My wife and I came for our anniversary and had a really great time. We knew the prices would be more than a normal date night but for special occasions it’s worth it. Our steaks were amazing and the Steak Taretare was the best we have ever had. Highly recommend going here for fancy dinner. The staff was very helpful and accommodating as well.

The individual courses of the meals were served separately on a cleared table with replaced table settings. Each dish was described in detail. The individual courses appeared effortlessly, but we were never rushed through our meal. A truly great dining experience.

Awful service. It took 3 hours to get in and out which would be fine if we weren’t waiting 30 mins on both sides of the meal to get our server to show up and take the order and bring the check. Food was ok but not great. Probably the worst Michelin Star restaurant I’ve been to.

This is a lovely place to dine. I was greatly disappointed with my steak but was really impressed with the salads. The service was outstanding and the environment was well-spaced and peaceful. I may return but will not invest ($70) in that steak again.
