Old Monk Rum crme anglaise
Very good tasty and service excellent and quite elegant and very open space not crowded good price for selection of food
The staff was awesome at explaining the different menu times to us all. Great wine list and at reasonable price.
Parking is an issue. The signs say restaurant patrons park free in the garage but even with validation you can’t go over 3 hours or you can’t exit without paying.
Lovely place. We ended up sitting inside since it was early and there were no other guests yet. Our server (Jacob) was friendly, helpful, and delightful! The food was excellent, only just a little on the spicier side than we would have preferred, but hey-- it's Indian food, after all!
First time to dine out since mid-March. Couldn’t have made a better choice. Kiran has installed an outside patio with distanced tables. We felt perfectly safe. The food was up to its usual high standards - well spiced, perfectly combined with a mango lassi to tone down the burn. The service was impeccable, donning with gloves and face masks, which was much appreciated.
Amazing experience and wonderful food. Definitely recommend for a date night!
Overall wonderful experience. Upscale and more on the expensive side but worth it with the food. Wine list was extensive and seemed pricy but good as well.
Always great food prepared with great care. Authentic Indian tastes brought to interesting seafood dishes among many other options. Attention to detail and great service to match.
We did both the Chef's and the Sadya Tastings. They were divine! Our initial champagne order came out a little tardy but the food erased all hindrances from out minds. Somehow authentic while at the same time paying homage to the southwest city it's housed within brilliant fusion. Favorites included: Sev Batata Poori, Foie gras, goat cheese naan, and Night in Goa. Such a high dining experience!
We had dinner at Kiran's for a 40th Bday celebration and as usual it did not disappoint. The food is always wonderful and the service was stellar. One of us is Vegetarian and a guest has to eat gluten free and so Indian is a great choice and you can't do better than Kiran's. We also appreciate the patio and that our server always had his mask on appropriately.
Best upscale and the most authentic north Indian food in United States. Chef Kiran Verma is the best Indian chef in the United States and kudos to her for bringing the authencity of Indian food.
This is a PHENOMENAL restaurant. Part of our table did entrees, part of it did restaurant week and we toured the Street Foods section of the menu with small plates and all of the food was truly sensational. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The decor is beautiful and the outside seating area is designed like an urban oasis. Do not miss out on dessert either. Top notch.
COVID-19 procedures a little lax since last visit, at least that is how I felt.
Food superb as always.
Service a little slow.
Week end parking a little problematic.
Still a very worthwhile drive for a consistent Indian fusion cuisine.
It was a great evening! Food service were excellent. Ambience was relaxing. Background music set a great tone. Highly recommended.
Best Indian cuisine in Houston. Complex layers of gentle flavors made from fresh ingredients including spices and herbs (tender fresh herb leaves instead of dried, etc). Some would consider parts of the menu to be a bit pricey but the cooking is labor intensive and worth it.
I thought the food was very average I really love authentic Indian food and this was fine. Just average. The service though was excellent.
We were celebrating my husband’s birthday with friends. We all took advantage of the Restaurant Week menu which was excellent
We have known Kiran for a long time and she continues to amaze us with her culinary prowess! A delicious presentation of rack of lamb and tandoori chilean sea bass was out of this world! Spinach paneer and coriander and onion kulcha made for a perfect feast!
so good. great food and service! will be back soon.
I have loved Kiran's food for years--before they re-opened at this location. I had not been in a long time. It doesn't disappoint. Since I was last here (maybe 2018 or 2019?), the restaurant expanded to close to double its former size. It's a bit of an open concept, but not too bad, especially during COVID, when every other table is left open. The service was nice. The house-designed cocktails are amazing. The wine list is solid. Pricing is on point for the quality and atmosphere. I had chicken vindaloo. The chef made my wife a customized seafood tikka masala. The eggplant appetizer is fabulous. If you've never had Peshwari naan, you must. I think there are only a few places in town that serve it.
The food was amazing. I wish the server was able to explain some of the dishes in more detail. Also, the restaurant was very warm. These are really small items that could use some attention but our experience was very good and we can’t wait to go back.
Afternoon tea at Kiran's is always a delight. Food is wonderful and service is always great.
Normally a great dinner... not this time, Took forever to get the food and when it came it was room temperature.
Ms Kiran probably was not on the property. Not sure about the next visit ....
perfect. fab food. best indian we ever had; on a par with london.
service exactly timed.
decor beautiful, understated and serene.
Omgish.. I can't wait to come back. Everything I had was amazing. The customer service was so good. I loved that the waiter recommended the most popular items and his personal favorites.
Food is ok but service was excellent, need to improve on taste
Great experience and service. Definitely would go again.
Food was delicious and waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable. Great Expeience
Excellent service with delectable Indian dishes for all palates.
Terrific service! The food was amazing too!!
Had the opportunity to try Kiran’s during restaurant week. Absolutely amazing! Looking forward to going back.
We are longtime fans of Kiran’s and go back over and over because of the high quality and tasty food that is consistently prepared. We find all the staff to be welcoming and knowledgeable but we love sitting at the bar with Greg most.....we are bar diners typically.
Dining here for a couple of time and I still can’t get over how awkward it is how they just look/stare at you like vultures when you are eating. This could either be a good or bad thing. It all depends on your preference. The food has always been great - full of flavor and enjoyable. My mom and I had an absolutely wonderful time during HRW.
Always perfect food, always lovely service!
My husband and I had made reservations for our anniversary and was really looking forward to eating here again, it's the most elegant Indian in town.
As we arrived we got a table by the open kitchen and asked to be moved to the other dining section because it was too noisy. No problem.
The waiter didn't greet us upon arrival and wasn't attentive. He didn't ask us if we had any questions about the menue (I would expect that from an Indian menue). The service was slow. We waited at least 20 minutes on our main course.
Our garlic naan bread was dry. The venison was ordered medium, but arrived well done. The waiter didn't ask how it was. As it tasted ok and we'd waited so long, we finished it, but left the naan and gave very little tip. The lowest tip we've ever given.
Overall - good food and decent service. However- it took about an hour and a half to get our entree. One of us ordered from the restaurant weeks menu and one of us ordered from the big menu. I don’t know if it was the dish or if it was the way the waiter put the order in but it took FOREVER. And not once did our waiter say he would check in our food or really give us an update. Two different tables that arrived after us were able to eat and leave before we had gotten our food/finished our entree. One of which ordered the three course dinner on the restaurants week menu.
Food - so my food was actually really good when it arrived - and it was warm. I really enjoyed my dessert- that was probably my favorite.
Our waiter was nice - I would have liked a bit more attention when an hour had passed and we had no clue where our food was. I was getting to a point where I almost called him over to ask. He tried to give us space - which I get. But it did make it hard when we were getting antsy to find him and ask where our food was or when we got dessert without silverware.
Also the water guys were amazing and super on everything! They have such LITLE water cups and I didn’t want to order a third drink before I got my food - so I had a few cups of water. And they helped me get silverware when none was brought for dessert
Overall - maybe not my top choice and maybe not one I would recommend just because I wouldn’t want someone to have a similar experience on my recommendation. But it’s not bad. Especially if you have patience
Ps - I forgot to take a pic of our entree because I was too hungry. But quail and samosas for the apps and the Swag and a night in Goa for dessert
While I was enamored by the design of the restaurant, the food and the drinks were a let down. Our HRW menu did not have a good connection in terms of taste. The dishes were recommended by our server in terms of what would flow better from course to course and I did not enjoy any of the portions. My dessert was fine. If I go back I will get the lamb vindaloo but that’s all I would get back from the dishes I tried. I really liked the ambience but my seat was extremely uncomfortable. It had a weird height to table ratio. I think for the price point I would like to order other dishes from the main menu because I feel like HRW menu did not do the place justice.
Great place. Check out my comprehensive menu review. https://youtu.be/RyIaLPWn4S8
We had a lovely dinner at Kiran’s to celebrate our daughters graduation. This was our first visit- the restaurant is very nice and food was great! I’m pretty certain we’ll be back soon!
