Kiran's is a beautiful restaurant. We had a drink at the bar while waiting for our table. The scene was lively and the waitstaff attentive. The dining room was still lively but not overly loud. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Our food was excellently prepared and beautifully presented. We had a really excellent experience.
We were eyeing this restaurant since we moved to Houston! It is hard to do Dal Makhni but it was amazing! Second to our favorite spot in India. The veggie dishes were all amazing. My husband had the rack of lamb, it was good, butI don’t think he would get it again. I think curries are likely better. It took forever to get my second drink but we comped because it took so long. I appreciate that although not expected. We were also given to bite size desserts for free which was a very nice touch. We reserved a table for two and were able to sit at a comfortable table for two both sitting on the same side. I would suggest the table be looking out at the window instead of the dining room, but they are likely doing this because of space.
All in all great experience and will definitely be back.
We had a 10 person group to celebrate our engagement. Two small children, several food request and photo ops. Food was fantastic and service was awesome. So glad we chose Kiran’s for this occasion
Great service and tasty food.
Great food. We ordered way too much but gladly brought some home.
Business contract celebration
Never disappoints. Love the food, service, and atmosphere.
While the food was certainly tasty, it was also fairly expensive. What bothered me the most were the waiters that permanently hovered over our table and interfered in conversations we had. For an upper scale restaurant the behaviour is rather impolite. Waiters can be attentive but must make themselves invisible. I would not return to Kiran's and not recommend it.
The atmosphere was pleasant. The food was great. The service outstanding. It was very spacious and spacing between tables was quite right and provided an atmosphere of almost private dining. Overall it was a fine dining experience.
Outstanding customer service and delicious food!
Our waiter David was amazing and the food and drinks are always great!
The best indian resturant we have being to. The waiter was very nice and the food is amazing. I will highly recommend
We were kept waiting for 50 minutes passed our reservation time. It was my birthday and I’m pregnant. We had to wait a long time for our waiter to bring us our wine only to be told they no longer had it. Our waiter did arrange for a free birthday dessert at the end which made up a little for the slow evening.
It was a great birthday dinner with a close group of friends!
Food is fantastic! Staff was very helpful as well. Caprese Naan, Dal Makhani and Paneer Tikka masala was very good.
Wonderful tea, so elegant, relaxing and the foods was scrumptious.
Everything about this restaurant was amazing. The room was beautiful. The waitstaff was attentive and helpful with the menu. The flavors of the food exploded in your mouth. We will definitely go back!
Service and food are always great
The food at Kiran’s was delicious. We weren’t sure what to order, so the waiters were very helpful. The samosas were tasty but could have used a little more sauce for dipping. We also had an amazing chocolate cake dessert! It is a nice place to go for a date, and you will be treated well!
Very nice experience but we came for the scones at high tea and they never came out. They just made us wait a long time. The wait during high tea was way too long.
This was our first time at Kiran’s and we are new to Indian cuisine. I made sure to relay this to our server, especially since we had children with us. I wish the waiter had given us the option of reducing the spice level a bit, as most of our dishes were too spicy for all members of our party to enjoy. I will be sure to ask if we can adjust the spice level if we dine there again. We ordered three different kinds of naan, which were unfortunately all placed in the same basket. Since they all looked the same it was impossible to distinguish them without actually trying each one. None of us much luck finding what we ordered. As someone who enjoys spice, I was able to appreciate most of the dishes, but I felt badly for the rest of my party. It was an expensive experiment, but not giving up on Indian cuisine or Kiran’s.
My son-in-law was hesitant about Indian food—“not really my favorite”—but next time he comes to Houston he wants to go to Kiran’s again.
excellent from greeting through dessert. Professional server who was very knowledgeable with menu details, excellent cocktails, beautifully presented, flavorful appetizer, main course and very smooth homemade pistachio ice cream for dessert....have recommended to friends and will return!
Kiran's has beautiful Indian food and the current location is really elegant. It is a bit pricey, but it is the best Indian food in town.
I had not been to Kiran's since they moved locations quite a few years ago. The new location has a nicer atmosphere. There is a valet around the corner or validated (free) self-park in the garage behind.
Excellent choice of craft cocktails, decent wine list, great food and professional service. This is not an Indian lunch buffet. This is a gourmet/foodie Indian restaurant.
We were two couples. It's certainly classy enough for date night, but as much of the food can be served family style, it's more enjoyable with a party larger than 2. Great flavors. We had a round of cocktails, two bottles of wine, more appetizers than we finished, several mains and several sides. We left quite full with food still on the table, and all in with tax & tip it was just under $100pp. Not a bad value at all especially given the quality.
Food was fantastic. Waiter seemed a bit overloaded. Our reservation was at 6:45 and we left at 9:20. Too long with kids. There were long periods that we did not see our waiter.
Excellent food and service. The vindaloo is the best I have ever tasted. Dumplings are a very good appetizer.
Savory and flavory!!
I went with a friend from Florida and he was mightily impressed (though I felt the quality was up to its usual high standard). Everything was excellent and the suggestions from the server were spot-on. No blips or lapses. This is a truly outstanding Indian restaurant in a lovely setting.
Amazing place to dine. I was apprehensive about Indian but my husband loves it. They outdid my expectations.
overall Great. But Billing took abnormally very long time.
Always the best and freshest foods. Service and staff are first class!
This was my 2nd time in the new location and the food was fantastic but I've lowered the rating to good based on our dining experience. Our server was a little odd and wasn't the best with answering question and at the end of the meal, while we were paying and finishing up the drinks we had ordered with our dinner, a women I believe to be a manager came over to tell us that we needed to hurry up because they had another reservation for our table. This was at 7:45 and our reservation had been for 6:45 so it was really only an hour, it wasn't like we sat there all night. I guess it's not a huge deal but we didn't even have our credit card back yet and I've never experienced anything like that at a higher end restaurant. If I go back I will opt to go on a weekday and sit in the bar as I did on my first visit, the bar service was great!
There was not enough waitstaff for our table...we had a birthday party of 12 and usually there’s plenty of waiters but not that night...service was very slow.
This was our second visit, my son the TV foodie came along and ordered the "Street Food" choices for appetizer. They were very unusual and delicious. names escape me. The Vegetarian feast by selections were the main course and the portions were good sized, and so was the price. The seafood curry was very good but some heat would have kicked it up a notch. WE will be back
The Restaurant was amazing and we loved the food and service.
Good food, lovely entrance and ambiance throughout the restaurant. They sent us burnt bread and still was charged for it. The Kirans naan came out after most of our food was finished also they brought a very small amount of rice for three dishes and then proceeded to charge us for the second plate of rice. Also, the wait staff was not very attentive. We had to wave them down several times. The patio is nice with good company so you don't look at the dirty seats!
