Kipos Hellenic Cuisine, an elevated extension of Kipos Greek Taverna in Chapel Hill, boasts a large garden and extensive bar which features double-sided seating indoors and out – all of which lends to a spacious dining area that flows seamlessly from the dining room to the patio. The bright, light-filled dining room, with high ceilings, terrazzo floors, and a variety of seating areas.

Enjoy Kipos’ classic Greek menu, curated by Executive Chef George Delidimos – including its legendary Avgolemono, Moussaka, Tzatziki, grilled whole fish. In addition to the largest Greek wine selection in the area.

Maybe it was an off night, but this left us so disappointed. The space was fun - perhaps a little over the top but thoughtfully re-done. The crew was great; everyone was so nice and it was almost like they only hire cool models to work there. But the food was just a miss all around. The fried zucchini was so thin it was Just fried dough with zucchini you could not taste. The “sizzling skillet” cheese and pita - both so burned you only tasted char. The moussaka - also managed to be burned; it stuck to the dish and was hard. And the chicken soup - thankfully not burned but it was such a strong lemon taste that the kids would not eat it - nor would I. The wine was nice. I’d consider giving it another shot since this was a first time and the space was beautiful but it would have to be a wildly different food experience at this price point (which is nearly NYC levels of entree pricing).

Always a great dining experience at Kipos. The ambiance is open airy and wonderful with options to eat indoors or outside in their fantastic surroundings. Started off with some spicy feta and raw oysters. Ordered lamb chops medium rare and they were grilled to perfection. Enjoyed a bottle of Greek red wine, company with friends and family. Of course we will be back!

Having been to Greece several times, Kipos has authenticity down. Fabulous food and great selection. Servers on top of orders and food came out hot. Will definitely make this one of our go to restaurants.

Overall, had a great experience. This was my third visit to Kipos since moving to NC. Kipos is my favorite restaurant in Wilmington. The food is flavorful. The staff are exceptionally friendly. The only negative comment I have to mention is the music coming from the speaker was a bit too loud. Some difficulties in continuing our conversation at the table. I know I’ll be back next week to Kipos. Bringing more friends that are visiting from out of state. Thank you, Kipos.

Our first visit and Mary made us feel welcome and introduced us to the menu very well. Lots and lots of gluten free options including two desserts (one was a special). The outdoor area is breathtaking.
